siamo stati tre giorni nell'hotel alexander e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della struttura e soprattutto del personale (addirittura uno di loro parlava anche in italiano)..era ben collegato con i mezzi, la metro era a pochi minuti di distanza e davanti l'entrata dell'albergo c'era la fermata del tram. L'unico appunto da fare manca aria condizionata (la nostra camera era al 4 piano e ci batteva perennemente il sole)e per le stanza che affacciano sulla strada sarebbe opportuno mettere i doppi vetri perchè il rumore del tram è veramente fastidioso...buona la colazione...nel complesso da consigliare. Das Hotel liegt gleich neben der Wirtschaftsuniversität.Wenn man dort zu tun hat,einfach ideal.Unser Zimmer lag hofseitig,deshalb absolut ruhig.Die Zimmer zur Straße dürften durch die vorbeifahrende Tram lauter sein.U-bahnstation ca. 3 Minuten entfernt.Kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.Das Hotel verfügt auch über eine Tiefgarage.Kostet 11 Euro pro Tag.

Upon our arrival, we were pleasantly greeted by Nader, one of the members of the hotel staff. He truly cares about his guests and will help you anyway that he can unlike many of the other hotels that I have stayed at. Nader is above the best. The breakfast is nice and is included in the price. In short, I would definitely return to this hotel.

Very nice hotel, near Lichtenstein Strasse, clean, friendly staff, very good prices at the reception bar. Reception is always open. You can store your baggage if you need to, whithout extra cost. Also, reception provides a safe box, which we needed. They have a Internet-connected computer in the lobby, usage free of charge. Using D tram you can get to city center in about 7 minutes. I would retrun to this hotel when visiting Vienna again.

The Alexander had a relaxed atmosphere, very large & spacious rooms and a TV with multiple chanels, several even in English! It was a short walk from both the subway and the trolley. The breakfast buffet was typical with fruit and cereal or breads and meat. Staff was very pleasant and recommended fun sights to see and excellent local cafes. I plan to stay at the Alexander on my next trip to Vienna.

From Westautobahn A1, take Bundesstrasse 1 (Wientalstrasse, Hietzinger Kai, Schönbrunner Schlossstrasse) to Gürtel (Bundesstrasse 221), turn left and get on the Gürtel to the North until reaching the end of Währinger Gürtel and the beginning of Heiligenstädter Strasse. Go to Liechtenwerder Platz and turn right on to Augasse.
From Süddautobahn A2, take Bundesstrasse 17 (Triester Strasse) to Matzleinsdorfer Platz, turn left on to the Gürtel (Bundesstrasse 221) until reaching the end of Währinger Gürtel and the beginning of Heiligenstädter Strasse. Go to Liechtenwerder Platz and turn right on Augasse.
By train
From Südbahnhof railway station, take tram line D and get off at Augasse.
From Westbahnhof railway station, take underground line U6 towards Floridsdorf, get off at Spittelau and take exit Verkehrsamt, Liechtenwerder Platz. Turn right on the next street, continue until Liechtenwerder Platz and turn left at the traffic lights onto Augasse.
By airplane
Vienna airport is about 25 km from the hotel and connected to the city by railway.
