The hotel is old. Bed are soft and uncomfortable. The smell of cooking in the stairs is umbelievable. the personell is not so kind. I took a special offer for my stay and it was cheap for the city. The subway station is near, so are 2 public bike parking. The river is close to have a nice walk. It's a bit far away from district 1. The breakfast is complete but the quality is low, apart the bread quality and variety. there is wifi everywhere. So, good but nothing special. If you get a special offer is ok, but otherwise not.

only thing missing was a tea/coffee machine in the bedrooms.the other thing was that it is quiet tricky to find city centre by tram, otherwise a fantastic place to visit,do not miss the horse show by the famous white horses, and a visit to the royal palace, absolutley fantastic.

A very good option for travelers on a budget: no need to go for the in-house breakfast as there is a McDonalds McCoffe across the street offering excellent croissants and coffees. Very close to the centre and easy to reach from the airport.

I spend 5 nights in this hotel. I booked a doublebed room for me and it was ok. The bathroom was very small and not cleaned everywhere. The lights in the room were very poor and the TV was very small and had a bad quality picture. I found an open bottle of Pepsi Light in the Minibar (cleaning staff did not check if this was already opened, I refused to pay for this). The aircondition was turned off and there was no chance to turn it on. The hotel does not offer a free WiFi and the price of 10 Euro per hour is not ok for the year 2013. Many guest opened there own wireless hotspots with there phones, i guess roaming internet is cheaper than the WiFi. Breakfast is also very overpriced and there are no power sockets next to the bed. I can't recomend this hotel for young people, if your just looking for a bed and 4 walls, this is the place you should go as it is very close to the metro and it is easy to reach.

Our recent experience at the Bellevue can be described as most enjoyable. Even though we arrived 3 hrs prior to the allowable check-in time, a room was available and we were permitted to check in, which was a huge convenience for us. In addition, we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which according to their website, is 15 sq. meters larger than a standard. This was a lovely bonus. And Daniella at reception was gracious and helpful, as was Mr. Rose. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning (which you must turn on yourself but the controls were easy to operate)and which was most welcomed with temperatures in Vienna reaching 36C. The bathroom was modern and clean. The bed was comfortable & when we requested extra pillows at reception the following morning, they were in our room when we returned that evening. And perhaps because our room faced a side street, it was surprisingly quiet. The drapes provided fairly good room darkening. The bar and dining room are as charming as the lobby, and we enjoyed both. The immediate neighborhood surrounding the hotel was not entirely appealing (to us), but it changes with just a short walk up Porzellangasse, which we also used to walk to city center (about 30 minutes) but if you don't enjoy walking or are unable to, the "D" tram can be taken from in front of the Franz Josef train station, just across the street from the hotel. Tickets can be purchased in the tobacco shop across the street, in the same mall where McDonald's is located. I, in particular, tend to be more fussy than my husband, but I could find nothing wrong with this hotel. It's always a bonus when you can look forward to returning to your hotel at the end of the day. And by the way, the hotel has an arrangement with a local taxi company, whereby a fixed price of 36 euros will get you to the airport. Request your taxi at reception.

Positives: fair price, good location. Negatives: overall tired appearance, faded grandeur, high charges for extras (WiFi €10 per hour; breakfast €15 per person). Staff at main desk not very professional (e.g. not knowing about airport transfers, unable to find simple information).

The reception staff especially the night staff were unhelpful, did not seem to know much about the city and had a "did not care" attitude which reflected badly on the hotel. the air conditioning was broken but they offered no help . There was no fitness room although the advertisement noted an arangement with a nearby fitness centre. the reception staff were unaware of this and quite dismissive of the idea. The breakfasts were good

Overall we had a superb stay at this hotel - friendly and professional staff, well kept room and surroundings. It is a shame that there was no in-room tea/coffee making facilities and there was considerable noise from other rooms (not entirely the hotels fault it has to be said). Wireless lobby internet was good but perhaps the re-login would be better managed (30mins per code is a bit of a fuss....). Overall though - excellent!

This was a very nice hotel to stay at, in a wonderful city to visit. Staff were very pleasant and helpful e.g. making restaurant bookings for us, giving directions and making arrangements for us to extend our stay. The street entrance is very welcoming and romantic to come home to at night. The very convenient location for trams and the short walk to the Metro make transport around the city easy. It would be wonderful to have tea making facilities added to the room. We did note that the arrangement of having to climb over the high sided bath to get into the shower would be impossible for older people with limited physical ability.

The room facilities were very good (specially the possibility of choosing the temperature), but it would be a great idea to improve the tv service by adding videoclub options or more channels. All was very clean and the room and bathroom were spacious, but there were some stains in the carpet, in the corridor and inside the room. That was the one and only problem we found. Well, that and the fact that we decided not to have breakfast there because it was very expensive. You can get a cheaper and really good one in a cafe very close. Broadly speaking we recommend it and we would repeat.

We reserved 2 double rooms for us (couple in our 60s) and our daughter and her fiance (late-20s). We felt that the rooms were very good especially given the price we paid (€62 per room per night). We did not have the breakfast in the hotel but there is an excellent supermarket across the road with fresh rolls and croissants among other fresh produce. We had trouble with the location at first, however in the end we found it to be quite easy to get around from the hotel using Vienna's excellent metro system. Personale molto gentile e disponibile a qualsiasi richiesta. Consigliato. Too bad breakfast was not included in the price, but right in front of the hotel there's a good supermarket (BILLA), McDonald's and many other services. The hotel is well connected to the tram (line 5 and D, this latter runs throughout the Ring and brings you downtown)... a few minutes walk away is the metro (green line, Friedensbrucke stop). Recommended.

We (myself and my two sons) stayed at the Bellevue hotel for six days during a summer vacation to Vienna. For the specific price we paid we found that the Bellevue hotel gave excellent value for money. That is, we skipped the 15 Euro breakfast and bought our own breakfast from the grocery shop across the street in stead. Be aware that the broadband on the room is charged extra (22 Euro for one day!), but it is included in the room price if you choose a "Deluxe" room. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped, and the hotel is situated close to public transportation (tram only a few steps away and a five minutes walk to the U-bahn), implying that the hotel was a very convenient base for our stay in Vienna.

Well The Hotel looks fine on the outside the lobby is a bit tired and old, the bar is nice to look at, but too expensive to sit in, compared to the Vienna Café's. I guess everything seemed better than it actually where, we only stayed one night, but when we arrived the hotel desk personel, did not have our reservation for 2 rooms. So we where given 2 rooms in the absolute back of the hotel. In the VERY CHEAP OLD "COMING TO AMERICA" SECTION, everything was different from the rest of the hotel, the rooms where not totally clean and seemed like that nobody had been living there for a long time, or been there with a duster. A lot of dust on the bed tables, lamps and desk. The big difference from the front part of the hotel to the BACK part, was that The Carpet simply changed as well as the doors when you entered this part of the hotel, you would see lots of old marks and spots appear all over, very old doors, not at all like the rooms that we passed to get there. The Tv's were old and very small, not like the pictures on the net, as well as the safe was broke and almost no soap or anything else on the toilets. Our view was into a backyard, not very flattering at all. I asked for the Breakfast rate, which was 15 Euro, I went down to check it out, I simply have to say, that it was not worth 5 Euro after my oppinion. We chose not to eat there, since you can go to the best Vienna Café's and get a great breakfast at 30 Euro's for 3 people. Well I guess we slept there for one night simply because we had to transfer to another hotel in Vienna. The only really positive thing I have to say about this hotel is, that the bed's where quite comfortable. Beside this, The Check-Out Procedure went quite bad, since the receptionist who could not find our booking the day before, had forgotten to make a new booking in their system, so the receptionist at check-out could not find the price for our rooms or our names in the system. Well all in all not the most flattering place to stay in

As a hotel this is a very nice hotel. The location is ok. While it is in a area that is a bit bus stop....it is convenient. I did not find the staff all that helpful, except for one in giving directions...not rude, just not outstanding. I did not eat the breakfast at 15 Euros, so cannot comment...the cappacino at McCafe across the street for 3 euros was enough for us. I think they need to adjust their prices slightly and include breakfast to compete, with McCafe, but enough people seemed to be coughing up the 15 Euros. Close to a good grocery store, pharmacy if you are saving money. There is a Greek restaurant down street which is good. I think if we had stayed one more day, my rating would be higher, as much of my frustraton is from figuring how to get frm thre to here, with limited information provided by the staff. Also, ticked because I pay cash, but they insisted on a guarantee on my credit card, which as I suspected got rang through, and because my bank takes about 3 weeks to reverse even a guarantee it always ticks me off. So that is coloring my review a little.

It is a very nice hotel to stay, quiet close to the city center - just 3 metro stops to the centre. The rooms are clean and into a clasic decor (nice to spend the Valentin's week-end in Vienna ;))). The rapport price / quality (referring just to the standard rooms in this case) is more than great. I kindly recommend it as a very good **** hotel.

We reserved a double room standard and our trip to Vienna was even more romantic because the hotel and the room itself reflected the spirit of Vienna in the best way possible. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the whole interior of the hotel pleased us so much. We also liked the fact that hotel is near the tram station and a large supermarket is across the street. We reccomend it to anyone! Excellent hotel, great value for the money.

Hotel is a 5 minute walk from underground. Infront of hotel there is a large supermarket and Mc donalds. There is also a small bar. To go to centre you have to go by underground.

Everything was great except for the location... nothing around it and you need to take the tram or the ubahn to go anywhere. also since it is next to a main train station it is a bit dodgy at night not dangerous though. Great local cafes for breakfast around it, which makes up for it a bit!!! the restaurant was amazing though have to say!

Great location for getting around by public transport. The room was large and quiet (except for the builders next door one morning). There's a great supermarket right across the street and some local restaurants within a 5 minute walk. It's a bit hard to find at first but really is a good location.

Our room was spacious and clean. Not in the city center but near the tram and the subway connections. Breakfast was not included in our price and that is quite expensive if you buy it separately. Friendly staff and cannot complain overall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bellevue. The hotel is located close to Franz Josef station and it is very quick and easy to travel into the main tourist areas by either the Metro or the bus. Both are excellent services and the Vienna Card is very good value. There is a supermarket across the road from the hotel including fresh fruit, bread, etc. We booked a superior room which turned out to be good value. The room was very large with high ceilings, a good size bathroom, lounge area as well as a large bed. Room was quiet with good soundproofing from the road below. We were so impressed we stayed at the hotel again later in our travels. Don't know what the standard rooms at like but we can certainly recommend the superior rooms.

Clean and elegant, located close to a metro station. Near the hotel you can find a lot of restaurants and bars, but if you go by car and you won't park it in the hotel parking, you have to buy a daily parking ticket

A well-known, old hotel, in good, old-fashioned with high quality of everything. Right next to the central station, but not very close to the historical center (far to walk). Good staff, well-trained and good-mannered. the only disappointment - they didn't have skoming rooms, which wouldn't be that convenient if we stayed longer (each time one has to go down to the lobby).

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Bellevue and regretted staying only 2 days in Vienna. The hotel is extremely well priced for a 4 star. The reception staff was helpful and gave us great tips on the surrounding areas. We came in from Sudhbhanoff and took the TRAM D which was approximately 13 to 14 stops to the hotel. After staying in 2 to 4 stars hotel in other countries, we finally got a real "hotel"... nice soft beds, modern bathroom, airconditioning, cable, WIFI etc. We preferred to take the U-bahn (metro) which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel (I'm a slow walker). The metro was easy to navigate although the Vienna map looks daunting so although you are not in the inner stradt, transpo is so easy. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to family and friends.

We had a problem upon arrival. It was off season and they put us in a room right near hotel construction. We complained and the staff took care of our request and we were placed in an excellent room. I felt well served because they fixed the problem and the rest of my stay was great.

We highly recommend this hotel. We had a very large comfortable room which was very quiet. The hotel's location is very good. Two blocks to the subway and right on the D tram line which goes around the ring. There are good restaurants in the area and a supermarket across the street.the staff was pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again.

The hotel staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The hotel is near a metro (~2 blocks) which quickly takes you into the city center. It is ~20 minute walk into the center, but in nice weather, very enjoyable. Great local restaurants around the hotel.

The hotel is certainly recommendable. The city centre is just a few stops by tram away and the area offers a few shops and restaurants where you will meet fewer tourists and more locals. The only minor drawbacks are that the reception staff were a bit stiff and the choice at breakfast not too wide. But the room was very comfortable and quiet.

My husband and I were traveling together. We have no major complaints about the hotel except that I had requested a smoking room and the type of room that we had booked (deluxe) were all non-smoking. Apparently, there were standard rooms available that were smoking rooms, but our concierge allowed that they were not as nice. I smoked in the bar and kept my nice room. The breakfast (included) was varied and the hours of availability were reasonable. Although the hotel was a little out of the way, we were able to access the subway quite easily to travel to into the city centre, and of course everyone walks there anyway. There was also a convenience store right across the street, which stayed open 'till 11:00. Our friends in Vienna were surprised that we had such good accomodations for under 100 Euros. We returned to the Belleview several days later after touring through other parts of Vienna. Internet access was available in the reception area.

Excellent hotel! The Tram lines run 500 feet from the hotel and it's incredibly easy to get around. The price we paid was very reasonable for such a big, nice room. Breakfast was really good. They had all kinds of bread, jam, croissants, eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit juices, coffee, tea, fruits, cereals and pastries. The rooms had these really high ceilings and equally high floor-to-ceiling windows which made the room much larger. The bed was very comfortable. They had fast cable internet in every room which helped us a lot. Some minor complaints though...but not enough to prevent us from returning! When we checked in, we had 3 big, bulky and heavy bags. No one offered to carry it up to our rooms for us. The guy at the front desk kept staring at us when we were lugging our bags to the elevator. I thought that was kind of rude. The hotel did not have any city maps to offer. Also, the rooms don't have a small passage as soon as you enter which usually helps to keep the noise out. You open your room door and you step right into the middle of your room which made it a bit noisy whenever people walked outside or closed/opened their doors.
