This is a hotel in an excellent location when you arrive by car. It is very easy to find, even without GPS. The free parking is a bonus. Just follow the direction to the stadium. Even though there was a football match on the evening we arrived it absolutely did not bother us. The hotel is only a 10 minutes walk to the historic centre. Absolutely recommended.

This hotel is located outside the historic center but in a nice neighborhood. This is a very modern hotel which means the rooms are quiet, but not soundproof which requires being at the mercy of the kindness of the neighbors. The rooms do not have classic carpet, but some type of imitation carpet which does not give and almost feels like plastic. There is a nice breakfast buffet with many different selections from which to choose. There is an excellent restaurant about 500 feet from the hotel. The main Vicenza attractions are about a quarter of a mile walk from the hotel. The walk goes through a very nice area and along the river which makes it an enjoyable walk.

This is a very friendly and good hotel. Good travel hotel standard and, for the price, good value. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are a bit grim (football stadium opposite)but the walk into the historic centre is easy and takes about 10 minutes.

We selected this hotel based on good reviews. We were not disappointed. The manager let us keep our luggage in the storage room and leave our car in the rear parking lot about 1.5 hour past the 11:00 o'clock check-out time. The historic part of Vicenza is within an easy walking distance. Breakfast selection was better than other comparable hotels we had stayed in Italy.

Excellent value for money. We had a spacious, very clean and quiet double room. Breakfast very good on Italian standards. Ten minutes walk to the historic centre, free parking in front of the hotel and across the street. When we arrived, we got a little extra local atmosphere: the first flocks of fans came along the street for a soccer match at the stadium opposite the hotel (Vicenza plays in serie B, i.e. the 2nd Italian league). But no problems at all for us (and the Vicenza team sadly lost against neighbouring Padua), after the match the crowd quickly dispersed. We felt very safe in the area.

The hotel was reasonably good. We were initially directed to a very poor room, with a noisy air-conditioning system outside and a smell of stale smoke. Fortunately, reception found us another room which was fine. Breakfast was reasonable, if unremarkable. The location was not wonderful - just beside the football ground - although we did not suffer from noise (there was no match on!) It was, however, easy to walk into central Vicenza.

Very nice hotel in Vicenza. The location is not perfect (not in the real center of the city), but if you don't mind walking 10-15mn to go to the center, i would clearly recommend you this hotel as the rooms are very big and clean and the welcoming was very good. The breakfast included was not bad at all. Just one other thing : it is in front of a stadium. No problem for us as there wasn't any match, but it could be annoying

The staff was excellent, helpful and knowledgable. The wi-fi was rather weak, but was included free as part of the price. Breakfast was good, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, except for the pillows that were rather hard. The bathroom was modern and well laid out, the shower was good. Street noise could be a bother to light sleepers. Since late March was unusually warm, if you closed the windows for quietness, then the room became warm, as the air conditioning is not turned on until May.

Good, clean hotel, good breakfast, knowledgeable staff ... about 15 minute walk to the attractions, but at this price, no complaint. Overall satisfactory, but one major drawback: the walls are not very well sound-proof and you can hear your next door neighbor. Fortunately I had good earplugs with me and could sleep without much problem. Apart from that, good value for money.

This was my second stay at the Continental. The last time I stayed there it's rates were rather cheaper. Nevertheless, Vicenza does not have very many good value hotels which are well located and the Hotel Continental is certainly both of those things. The service provided by the hotel staff is superb and the breakfast is also excellent (not something to be taken for granted at Italian hotels). Vicenza is a wonderful town with many sights and the Hotel Continental is a great place to stay when there.

It's as if someone set out to design the perfect hotel. The location is a short walk to the centro storico. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, especially if something isn't working on first try–in my case, WiFI, which they quickly fixed. An abundant breakfast is free, as is WiFi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The relationship between price and quality is as good as it gets. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

We found it difficult to find a hotel in Vicenza, however ending up at the Hotel Continental was not as bad as it could have been. It's not right next to the historical centre, so be prepared for a 15 minute walk before seeing anything with Palladio's name on it! The staff at Hotel Continental were very unhelpful and were not the friendliest bunch. They were prone to ignoring patrons lining up at their front desk, and didn't offer any information on breakfast or internet services unless you probed them. The rooms are spacious enough and fairly comfortable, though when we arrived the cleaners still hadn't managed to get around to vacuuming. Overall we had a fairly unremarkable stay, though the Hotel Continental is adequate enough in most ways.

I stayed in Vicenza in 1980's when the hotel was kind of neglected. Rooms were surprisingly clean and large, bathrooms seems renovated, although not all. Hotel serves reasonable breakfast, there is a small bar near the registration desk attended only by the clerk, if asked. We were allowed to park our car in the hotel gated yard, otherwise there is a shortage of parking space (as in most hotels in Italy). They allowed us to store one of our suitcases for 4 days while we visited other parts of the country. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. For the price and waling distance to Palladio you can't find a better hotel in Vicenza

This is an excellent hotel with clean, modern rooms, charming, helpful staff, and only ten minutes' walk from the old town. Breakfast was very good, and there is a small roof garden to relax after a day's sightseeing. If you arrive by train, you can take a no.3 bus from the right hand side of Viale Roma, the main street which leads away from the station. It takes you all round the town, but will drop you a few yards from the hotel. Just around the corner (turn left out of the hotel, then left at the roundabout)is a really good restaurant - the Picchio d'Ora. It doesn't look much from the outside, but the food is excellent, and not at all expensive. We really enjoyed staying at the Continental, and would highly recommend it.

This hotel was chosen based on the price, location and available amenities. Internet access was free, breakfast was good and free parking was available (They had about 5-6 free spaces alongside the hotel, but the lot across the street only cost 50 cents/hour from 8 am to 8 pm. If the free spaces were unavailable, the lot was well lit and quite reasonable). Accessing the historic sites required a 10-minute walk through a safe, residential neighborhood. Vicenza was a lovely city with gorgeous villas in the nearby countryside that were easily accessible by car. Some of the greatest photos of Vicenza can be taken from the huge parking area in front of the Basilica of Monte Berico, as it overlooks the city. We only booked a one-night stay, but I accidentally left my jewelry in the 'open' safe on the day of departure. I contacted Luca via email to report my problem and he responded within a day to tell me that the jewelry was found. Although he suggested that I contact DHL to send my jewelry to the US, we decided to return (it was on the way back to Venice where we had our scheduled departure)and stay for another night. Not only did I receive all my jewelry, but we also got a suite for the additional night we booked even though we paid the regular rate! Overall, this is a good location for easy access to a lovely historic city. The honesty of the staff was impressive!

We stayed in a quad room, 2 queen beds and a sofa. Very spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was good, and items were promptly replaced when empty. Staff were friendly and helpful with surrounding area information. Highly reccomend the hotel for price/value. Close (by car) to train and bus station, which makes the location of the hotel easy to visit Verona and Venice.

The hotel is rather hard to find, the description on the homepage is not very helpful if you are a stranger in the town. The rooms are great, very modern and arranged tastefully. You feel comfortable right away! The relationship between price and quality is perfect, especially the rich breakfast is really good.

Splendid suite, very very gentle staff, price OK. The only thing to improve is the breakfast. I think is a little bit poorer than the rest. But, all things considered, we enjoy absolutely the room, etc. No doubt, we'll be back.

This hotel was nice and the rooms very spacious. The breakfast in the morning was decent and the staff very welcoming. We traveled to Venice from here and it was a easy bus ride to the train station. I agree with others in that we stayed at a 4 star in Milan and were more happy with this hotel. Recommend this hotel and would come back again if in the area.

Very nice and inexpensive hotel for short and also longer stay in Vicenza (ideal choice for Palladio's fans - hotel is in midway between city's centre and Valmarana & Rotonda villas). Friendly and responsive stuff. Spacious and clean rooms (some wish - it's good , if also in 4th floor rooms will be available wi-fi internet).

The hotel is a handy 10 minute walk from the tourist centre of Vicenza, and the staff will provide you with a map and helpful directions. Although all of the main attractions are within walking distance, there is a regular bus service throughout the centre of the city. Café Restaurant Dai Nodari, in Contra do Rode, provides great food and a friendly service, at a reasonable price.

Great value if you don't mind a 10 min walk into the town centre. My room was spotlessly clean and felt like it was brand new. I would stay there again.
