Hotel Da Porto - Vicenza

The hotel was great - the staff was very helpful and capable, the on-site restaurant was very good, and the rooms were clean and pretty good sized. The hotel was easily accessible by car. Walking to nearby restaurants was a challenge due to the lack of sidewalks. Vicenza is a great city for discovering history, but bring good maps, as street signs are non-existent.

The hotel was very good but we had a hard time finding it from the instuctions provided by Venere. The location was in an area of heavy traffic and was located a short distance away from the center of town. Since we had a car this did not create a problem.

The hotel was closer to the historic center of Vicenza than we thought, and the surrounding area was very quiet. Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They all spoke excellent English and indulged our earnest attempts to speak to them in Italian. Our room was every comfortable and had a view of mountains in the distance. The breakfast buffet was quite satisfactory, providing a variety of meats, fruits, cereals, juices and pastries. One desk clerk in particular, named Gloria, is reason enough to return to the hotel. She was helpful and informative, going out of her way to find things out for us and accommodate our requests, and always had a smile for the guests, no matter how many shifts she worked. The hotel itself is a gem, well-appointed and comfortable.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning was broken for the duration of our stay, and life in a room at the top of the hotel was fairly uncomfortable. The staff did not seem to be at all concerned about this - there was no apology, even. A shame, because I have stayed at Da Porto before, when the service was far better.

Just one night stay, we reserved a non smoking room but the room smelled terrible (former smoking room!).

We had booked a junior suite in this hotel for mid august. We got a very nice small flat with kitchen and facilities located in the residence next to the hotel da Porto. Everything is new. Secure Parking. Good tratoria at walking distance.Their gastronomical restaurant was closed so we ere disappointed about that. Good breakfast included in the price of 90€. Very friendly people at the desk. Located out of town. We go back next time.

What a joy! This was such a great hotel. The people who worked there went above and beyond the call to help us out with a variety of problems that arose. Breakfast was superb. A computer room was available free of charge and everything was spotless. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellence and proximity to Vicenza, Verona and Padua.

1. The hotel was quiet and overlooked residential/rural Vicenza. It was very relazing and much different environment than the other Italian cities we visited - it was in the country side. 2. I would recommend if you have a car to travel into the city. We had to take a cab to and from the city of Vicenza and to and from the train station. 3. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel is delicious. It was expensive but the food was good. Ask the front desk for another restaurant in the area. It is a 15 minute walk but less pricey than next door - good service and food!

The Hotel Da Porto is a great place to stay in Vicenza. The rooms are well maintained and the restaurant, although a little expensive, is top shelf. You get what you pay for. The staff is multi-lingual,always pleasant and provide very good service.

¡¡¡¡¡Alucinante!!!!! La habitación era muy grande y con todo tipo de comodidades, el baño era grande y estaba todo muy limpio. El único inconveniente es que estaba a las afueras y era algo complicado de encontrar.
