Thanks for a very pleasant 4-night stay, on comfortable beds in a nice quiet room, with good breakfasts, a parking bay for our hire car and friendly, competent staff and cleaners

This was a perfect one-night stop with our 7 yr old son. Right price and very comfortable accommodations. Super helpful desk staff who gave advice on walking to La Rotunda and then into historic Vicenza, checked on trains to Venice, called a taxi, etc. Our only complaint with the stay was a very loud group of guests in the hall at 3am.

The hotel was very much as expected. Although not in a particularly attractive part of town it was only a 10 minute walk to the centre. The fact that it was next to the football stadium was very useful when we got a bit lost walking back as there are a number of signs to it. The staff were very helpful, even supplying a laptop to check on our flights and helped with directions to nearby villas.

Overall stay very nice. Too bad the room we got smelled of urine. But we checked the other rooms on our way out and none of them smelled at all. Just unlucky I guess. Staff very friendly, and also apologized for the room smell.

Even though it is rated as 3 stars. It should be more than that. Good buffet breakfast. Clean room. Flat panel TV. Clean bathroom. The only drawback is the location. That is really too far away from the train station, downtown and everything. A bit quiet to walk back to the hotel at night time. However, all over comment to this hotel is good as compare with the price.

We stayed in the family room, which was very spacious and very clean. The beds were not that comfortable but we only stayed one night so no problem. There is very limited parking directly next to the hotel but parking across the street is available. We would stay at this hotel again.

I stayed in Vicenza in 1980's when the hotel was kind of neglected. Rooms were surprisingly clean and large, bathrooms seems renovated, although not all. Hotel serves reasonable breakfast, there is a small bar near the registration desk attended only by the clerk, if asked. We were allowed to park our car in the hotel gated yard, otherwise there is a shortage of parking space (as in most hotels in Italy). They allowed us to store one of our suitcases for 4 days while we visited other parts of the country. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. For the price and waling distance to Palladio you can't find a better hotel in Vicenza

United Kingdom, Jun 2009
This is an excellent hotel with clean, modern rooms, charming, helpful staff, and only ten minutes' walk from the old town. Breakfast was very good, and there is a small roof garden to relax after a day's sightseeing. If you arrive by train, you can take a no.3 bus from the right hand side of Viale Roma, the main street which leads away from the station. It takes you all round the town, but will drop you a few yards from the hotel. Just around the corner (turn left out of the hotel, then left at the roundabout)is a really good restaurant - the Picchio d'Ora. It doesn't look much from the outside, but the food is excellent, and not at all expensive. We really enjoyed staying at the Continental, and would highly recommend it.

Exceeded what we expected, looks unpreposing from outside, but fine inside, clean and simple, our room comfortable with reasonable space. Very impressed with breakfast. Instructions on arriving by car from autostrada were correct, but interpretation could be clearer. Quick and easy walk into town and to the parts of town of interest. nearby convienence store was useful.

We have stayed before, and will certainly stay again. Everything was as we expected, and if anything, the breakfast was better than previously. The signposting in Vicenza is a little excentric, and so would emphasise that you follow signs to the Stadio, which is across the road. Note that access can be restricted if there is a football match being played.

We had a quad room which was a double bed, one twin bed and a fold-out couch. The size of the bedroom and bathroom were great. We just stayed there on our way to Venice so we didn't tour the area but the hotel staff directed us to a great restaurant within walking distance(and great prices). Continental breakfast was better than other places we stayed at in Italy. Our GPS got us there no problem, we didn't try the directions on the webpage.

It is an extremely pleasant stay there. People in the front desk are very helpful and you could feel that they are very happy from their heart to tell you whatever information you need. They also provide good suggestion, not only repeat what is written on tourist interest guide. Good breakfast too, except there are not too many choices for the restaurants for dinners.

We enjoyed our stay in the Quad/Family room. It was very reasonable for 4 people. The breakfast was excellent quality. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with obtaining information regarding train travel and restaurants. If you have luggage you'll need a cab to get here, but we walked into town in 15 minutes and walked to the train station without our luggage in 20 minutes. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

This hotel was chosen based on the price, location and available amenities. Internet access was free, breakfast was good and free parking was available (They had about 5-6 free spaces alongside the hotel, but the lot across the street only cost 50 cents/hour from 8 am to 8 pm. If the free spaces were unavailable, the lot was well lit and quite reasonable). Accessing the historic sites required a 10-minute walk through a safe, residential neighborhood. Vicenza was a lovely city with gorgeous villas in the nearby countryside that were easily accessible by car. Some of the greatest photos of Vicenza can be taken from the huge parking area in front of the Basilica of Monte Berico, as it overlooks the city. We only booked a one-night stay, but I accidentally left my jewelry in the 'open' safe on the day of departure. I contacted Luca via email to report my problem and he responded within a day to tell me that the jewelry was found. Although he suggested that I contact DHL to send my jewelry to the US, we decided to return (it was on the way back to Venice where we had our scheduled departure)and stay for another night. Not only did I receive all my jewelry, but we also got a suite for the additional night we booked even though we paid the regular rate! Overall, this is a good location for easy access to a lovely historic city. The honesty of the staff was impressive!

This hotel was nice and the rooms very spacious. The breakfast in the morning was decent and the staff very welcoming. We traveled to Venice from here and it was a easy bus ride to the train station. We went to Vicenza to attend a trade show at the Fiera - and hit the tourist trail as much as we could. For the driver, the Continental is sign posted, but it's worth bearing in mind that it is across the road from the Stadio - keenly signed. Walking, it is 15/20 mins out of the historic centre - seems further walking back! The hotel faces onto a quiet side road, and the area is peaceful at night. We had no complaints, and will definately stay there again - ideally for longer.

The rooms are very modern and are very nice. The clean design of each room makes for a peaceful surrounding. The restrooms are very clean in the rooms and the toilet even comes sealed and sterilized for the arrival of each guest. My only complaint is the ground floor. The ground floor doesn't seem to have caught up with the modern movement the rooms have taken; it needs to catch up. For three stars, this hotel, though, has surpassed my expectations. Book now.

Was quite ok the location and surroundings. Nor far from the city and next to the nice stadium of Vicenza Calcio. The only point what was really bad, that concerns the quality of the coffee at breakfast. Fantastic hotel. As a family of five (three small girls), it is often difficult to find a room large enough for us all to stay together. We booked the suite, which was plenty big enough for a queen bed and three singles. The hotel is just a short walk to the center of town., and there is a wonderful little supermarket nearby. The hotel is good, the staff were very helpful. The only problem is the walk to the town centre (about 10 minutes) including crossing a complicated intersection with no pedestrian crossing which could be difficult with small kids. I guess it would be fine in the summer, but the walk was a bit of a drag in the icy cold weather we were there in (January)!

Close enough to Malpensa to make early flight, BUT be aware that you need to tackle two highway stretches to get there, if one of them has an accident, you are in bumber to bumber traffice for quite a while and only solution to that is to flick on the emergency lights and take curb side. I had to do this. I have no idea what the problem was but this highway was JAMMED to the max and I was going to be late for the flight if not doing above. It is not that close, yet close enough if you leave early and be prepared for bad traffic during traffic hours. Hotel itself ok, contl breakfast ok, nothing in the area, so it is just for the purposes to go bed and fly off next morning, clean rooms, parking provided in building.

Brought our small dog, so they did not put us in one of their renovated rooms. Our room was sparse, wood floor, no rugs near bed, only one small rug in front of the table. Lghts on each side of the bed were burnt out...I replaced them myself after getting new bulbs from front desk. Hotel is on a busy street so lots of road noise. Door did not lock automatically, we had to lock it with the key from the inside, =antiquated system? On a positive note: front desk person spoke English well and was very eager to help. Also breakfast buffet was good: juices, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, pastries, cereal. Bottom line: It was OK but somewhat outdated, and we probably would stay somewhere else next time. Cheers,...

Exactly as we expected from the listing. About 5 minutes' walk from town, along/across a couple of busy streets. It might be a problem in the rain, but in good weather, no problem. Also, the location is not really in the center, so does not have the "experience" of being in the town. Rather, it's on the edge of town, across from the football stadium. We arrived by car, and the hotel was easy to find using the directions from the website.

Molto bene! A very pleasant surprise. The largest room (and bathroom) of any hotel we have stayed anywhere. All the employees were "on the ball" and very helpful with directions and other tourist information. The continental breakfast at the Continental was also the best we have encountered. While the first to blocks of the walk to the historic center were on a busy street, the rest of the short walk was quite nice. The few near-by restuarants ranged from "just fine" to "very good". There is also a handy food market near by. If you want to see the palladians, stay here. We would not consider doing anything different.
