The fact that you are over the road from the Vicenza football stadium can put you off if you arrive on match day as we did. Other than that, a good honest, good value hotel, 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Vicenza

Good hotel. Only one complaint from me. The walk into town takes a little longer than 10 mins on foot, and you need a map and compass. The best I could manage was 20 mins.

This hotel is perfect 10. It is well equiped, mantained and managed. Excellent value for money. Rich breakfast, spacious room, helping and English speaking staff, good working AC. There are hotels closer to the center, but this is not far at all, and parking is FREE! If I ever come again, I would definetly use this hotel.

Good, clean hotel, good breakfast, knowledgeable staff ... about 15 minute walk to the attractions, but at this price, no complaint. Overall satisfactory, but one major drawback: the walls are not very well sound-proof and you can hear your next door neighbor. Fortunately I had good earplugs with me and could sleep without much problem. Apart from that, good value for money.

This was my second stay at the Continental. The last time I stayed there it's rates were rather cheaper. Nevertheless, Vicenza does not have very many good value hotels which are well located and the Hotel Continental is certainly both of those things. The service provided by the hotel staff is superb and the breakfast is also excellent (not something to be taken for granted at Italian hotels). Vicenza is a wonderful town with many sights and the Hotel Continental is a great place to stay when there.

The Continental is a well located hotel in Vicenza, within walking distance of the city centre. The rooms are clean and straight forward and overall the hotel is good value. Staff were helpful and the inclusion of breakfast and free wifi were both appreciated. An in room safe is the only amenity missing that would be appreciated.

We've stayed at the Continental several times, have always enjoyed out visits, and never had cause for complaint. The bedrooms and bathrooms are modern, clean and comfortable. A refurbishment of the reception, bar and breakfast room is just being completed. The staff are all tremendously helpful and considerate.

Recently refurbished hotel at a very convenient price. Very nice and friendly staff, trendy but cosy atmosphere. Only 10 mins.' walk from city centre. The fact that is is situated in front of the main football stadium might cause some problems in case of match, though.

Hotel Staff More than competent and polite. Common area's were very nice, Rooms were quiet and well equipped and plenty of Parking. The Staff is the part of the hotel that stood out the most. They gave us very detailed and helpful advice about where to go and what to do. Especially the Recommendation about Al Gusto Restaurant. If your in Vicenza Stay at the Hotel Continental and Goto Al Gusto.

It's as if someone set out to design the perfect hotel. The location is a short walk to the centro storico. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, especially if something isn't working on first try–in my case, WiFI, which they quickly fixed. An abundant breakfast is free, as is WiFi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The relationship between price and quality is as good as it gets. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

We found it difficult to find a hotel in Vicenza, however ending up at the Hotel Continental was not as bad as it could have been. It's not right next to the historical centre, so be prepared for a 15 minute walk before seeing anything with Palladio's name on it! The staff at Hotel Continental were very unhelpful and were not the friendliest bunch. They were prone to ignoring patrons lining up at their front desk, and didn't offer any information on breakfast or internet services unless you probed them. The rooms are spacious enough and fairly comfortable, though when we arrived the cleaners still hadn't managed to get around to vacuuming. Overall we had a fairly unremarkable stay, though the Hotel Continental is adequate enough in most ways.

We are satisfied with housing. We all liked it, except for traffic noise at night, by day we have not even noticed. personnel were very polite. advice to those who come, not to be disappointed, because at first glance, because of the environment, it seems as if the hotel much further from the center than it actually is. in case we come back in Vicenza, we'll be in the same hotel.

This was a perfect one-night stop with our 7 yr old son. Right price and very comfortable accommodations. Super helpful desk staff who gave advice on walking to La Rotunda and then into historic Vicenza, checked on trains to Venice, called a taxi, etc. Our only complaint with the stay was a very loud group of guests in the hall at 3am.

The hotel was very much as expected. Although not in a particularly attractive part of town it was only a 10 minute walk to the centre. The fact that it was next to the football stadium was very useful when we got a bit lost walking back as there are a number of signs to it. The staff were very helpful, even supplying a laptop to check on our flights and helped with directions to nearby villas.

Even though it is rated as 3 stars. It should be more than that. Good buffet breakfast. Clean room. Flat panel TV. Clean bathroom. The only drawback is the location. That is really too far away from the train station, downtown and everything. A bit quiet to walk back to the hotel at night time. However, all over comment to this hotel is good as compare with the price.

I stayed in Vicenza in 1980's when the hotel was kind of neglected. Rooms were surprisingly clean and large, bathrooms seems renovated, although not all. Hotel serves reasonable breakfast, there is a small bar near the registration desk attended only by the clerk, if asked. We were allowed to park our car in the hotel gated yard, otherwise there is a shortage of parking space (as in most hotels in Italy). They allowed us to store one of our suitcases for 4 days while we visited other parts of the country. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. For the price and waling distance to Palladio you can't find a better hotel in Vicenza

This is an excellent hotel with clean, modern rooms, charming, helpful staff, and only ten minutes' walk from the old town. Breakfast was very good, and there is a small roof garden to relax after a day's sightseeing. If you arrive by train, you can take a no.3 bus from the right hand side of Viale Roma, the main street which leads away from the station. It takes you all round the town, but will drop you a few yards from the hotel. Just around the corner (turn left out of the hotel, then left at the roundabout)is a really good restaurant - the Picchio d'Ora. It doesn't look much from the outside, but the food is excellent, and not at all expensive. We really enjoyed staying at the Continental, and would highly recommend it.

Exceeded what we expected, looks unpreposing from outside, but fine inside, clean and simple, our room comfortable with reasonable space. Very impressed with breakfast. Instructions on arriving by car from autostrada were correct, but interpretation could be clearer. We have stayed before, and will certainly stay again. Everything was as we expected, and if anything, the breakfast was better than previously. The signposting in Vicenza is a little excentric, and so would emphasise that you follow signs to the Stadio, which is across the road. Note that access can be restricted if there is a football match being played.

We had a quad room which was a double bed, one twin bed and a fold-out couch. The size of the bedroom and bathroom were great. We just stayed there on our way to Venice so we didn't tour the area but the hotel staff directed us to a great restaurant within walking distance(and great prices). Continental breakfast was better than other places we stayed at in Italy. Our GPS got us there no problem, we didn't try the directions on the webpage.

It is an extremely pleasant stay there. People in the front desk are very helpful and you could feel that they are very happy from their heart to tell you whatever information you need. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with obtaining information regarding train travel and restaurants. This hotel was chosen based on the price, location and available amenities. Internet access was free, breakfast was good and free parking was available (They had about 5-6 free spaces alongside the hotel, but the lot across the street only cost 50 cents/hour from 8 am to 8 pm. If the free spaces were unavailable, the lot was well lit and quite reasonable). Accessing the historic sites required a 10-minute walk through a safe, residential neighborhood. Vicenza was a lovely city with gorgeous villas in the nearby countryside that were easily accessible by car. Some of the greatest photos of Vicenza can be taken from the huge parking area in front of the Basilica of Monte Berico, as it overlooks the city. We only booked a one-night stay, but I accidentally left my jewelry in the 'open' safe on the day of departure. I contacted Luca via email to report my problem and he responded within a day to tell me that the jewelry was found. Although he suggested that I contact DHL to send my jewelry to the US, we decided to return (it was on the way back to Venice where we had our scheduled departure)and stay for another night. Not only did I receive all my jewelry, but we also got a suite for the additional night we booked even though we paid the regular rate! Overall, this is a good location for easy access to a lovely historic city. The honesty of the staff was impressive!

For the driver, the Continental is sign posted, but it's worth bearing in mind that it is across the road from the Stadio - keenly signed. Walking, it is 15/20 mins out of the historic centre - seems further walking back! The hotel faces onto a quiet side road, and the area is peaceful at night. We had no complaints, and will definately stay there again - ideally for longer.

This hotel was a short walk from the station, and a short walk to the centre of Vicenza, where all the sights and the restuarants were. An ideal place to stay to explore all that Vicenza has to offer.

We received a wonderful welcome from the staff. The directions they gave us for finding the hotel by car were clear and easy to follow. Parking was right outside and free. The staff recommended a great local restaurant just a round the corner. The only negative comment is that it might be a little noisy staying here when there is a game on at the stadium next door. However we would love to come back, both to Vicenza and the Hotel Continental.

This relatively small family run hotel is being completely upgraded. Our room was tastefully decorated and spotless. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. The hotel is located only a short ten minute walk to the center of Vicenza. There are few restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel, but many in the center of the town. This is a good hotel.

This was the best hotel we stayed in in Italy, better even than the 4-star in Milano, in terms of size of room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and varied, all was immaculate, and location was convenient and pleasant.

We had a good time in Vicenza and as well in the Hotel Continental. Friendly people everywhere. We liked our nicely renovated room. The only "negativ" point: the hotel is located a bit far from the historic center and therefore not so ideal for people with walking problems. But all in all I can recommend the Hotel Continental as a place to go.

I have traveled to Italy 3 times in the past six months and so far, the Hotel Contintental has been my favorite hotel. The rooms were as described on the website, very clean and modern. The bathroom was spacious. The location was close to town; about a 10 minute walk but with a few restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The staff spoke English very well and were very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay again!

Very clean and spacious for family of four, traveling with pet. Staff personnel were all very personable, and provided timely, quality service. We've already recommended it to friends planning to visit the area. Would definetly stay here again!

The rooms are very modern and are very nice. The clean design of each room makes for a peaceful surrounding. The restrooms are very clean in the rooms and the toilet even comes sealed and sterilized for the arrival of each guest. My only complaint is the ground floor. The ground floor doesn't seem to have caught up with the modern movement the rooms have taken; it needs to catch up. For three stars, this hotel, though, has surpassed my expectations. Book now.

Was quite ok the location and surroundings. Nor far from the city and next to the nice stadium of Vicenza Calcio. The only point what was really bad, that concerns the quality of the coffee at breakfast. I have never drunk such a bad coffee and that was really hard for me because I am a passionated coffee drinker especially of italian coffee. This was the only bad point...all in all really good hotel

The front desk staff at this hotel was helpful, friendly, supportive and best of all spoke English. They really went out of their way to help us in every way. I can't begin to say how grateful we were for their kindness, turning a bad situation into a very happy stay in Vicenza. Thank you Hotel Continental!!

Fantastic hotel. As a family of five (three small girls), it is often difficult to find a room large enough for us all to stay together. We booked the suite, which was plenty big enough for a queen bed and three singles. The hotel is just a short walk to the center of town., and there is a wonderful little supermarket nearby. The breakfast was fabulous, and the staff was incredibly helpful. All of them went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This hotel is a great value, and we will definitely stay here again.

Très bon hotel, situé dans un quartier quelconque légèrement excentré, mais vraiment à 10 minutes à pied du centre historique. Aménagement moderne et confortable pour des chambres spacieuses et propres. Très bon rapport qualité/prix
