Hotel Aries - Vicenza

Very wonderful breackfast and good hotel.

I rated 5 for surrounding and public areas because there were works on the parking not announced at reservation.

This is my 2nd time at the Aries. A repeat of the previous stay: excellent service provided by the staff, especially Forella, the morning desk clerk. Great value (the free wi-fi was much appreciated), clean rooms, very nice breakfast. Highly recommended for those travelling by car.

Staff was fantastic. Very friendly and cooperative. Room was very clean as was the hotel. The only thing that we didn't realize until we got to the hotel was that the dining room was closed for the August holiday. The heart of Vicenza was a great experience. We enjoyed walking the streets and visiiting the shops.

The room was quite spacious but with an 'empty' feeling, very basic. Bathroom in plastic walls, aeroplane style. Nothing provided for the shower, only a very poor sachet of shower gel, bring your own. Breakfast ok, but close at 9,30. Price too high for the standard. I would return only if nothing else available in the same price range.

We booked this hotel since we were arriving on a Sunday evening and it had a restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed despite a sign on reception to say that it was open.

Map on ViaMichelin indicates whole another location which caused us a lot of trouble.

A simple place, clean room , location near main highway so,more of a convenience than anything. Typical breakfast, and not bad when you consider the price of the room. Good place for the traveler who hasn't quite made it to Venice, or Padua yet, and needs a place to stay near the highway.

I really enjoyed my stay in this quiet hotel. It's near every type of commodities : mole, town center, highway, .... and the breakfast is very good.

Everything was fine. It is just very surprising that in such an hotel, a baby cot cannot be made available, in spite of advance notice...

Room was efficient and clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great place to stay.

E' consigliabile cenare altrove, perchè la cucina non è delle migliori. Le stanze sono pulite ed il servizio ottimo.

Staff was excellent. Close to autostrade which made traveling around easy. not really any complaints except we arrived at 3:00am and had to pay a full day stay extra. other than that good.

This is an out-of-town motel (next to a US Army base and an industrial estate... but you don't notice them too much). It's very handy for an overnight stay, perhaps a couple of nights, but you would not want to spend an entire holiday here. The rooms are spacious, if a little spartan. The standard is very close to what you would expect from an Ibis Hotel, but the continental breakfast is included, and the variety offered is very good. We stayed in a room at the front, and there was some traffic noise for the dual carriageway, and roundabout, outside. A room at the rear would be quieter, so worth requesting that maybe? There is one bar nearby on the industrial estate, and a large shopping mall about half a mile down the road, but it would be best to drive to that. Vicenza (about two miles drive) is an interesting town and was buzzing on market day. There is a fine public park (rare in Italy) The historic centre is fascinating, but the road system is confusing. We found a good two-storey car park, one street up the hill from the Teatro Olimpico, but you have to approach it from the rear, because of the one-way system. Restaurants (even pizzerie!) seem a bit thin on the ground in Vicenza town centre (from what we could detect in 24 hours). But we were lucky to find an excellent restaurant in a sidestreet called "Contrà Manin", which is just off the Piazza die Signori. Standing in the square, and looking towards the two columns, it is the street that is the exit in the left corner. The food and service was excllent and not too expensive. It seems to open only in the evening and is closed on Sunday nights.

A great value in a beautiful city.
