Hotel Playa - Viareggio

The beds are terribly hard, but the charming staff made up for that inconvenience. Marco is friendly and helpful! The breakfast was just fine, and the location is great.

This was our first time in Viareggio and we thought that the proprietors were great - steering us to great restaurants and answering all of our questions. They were wonderful.

My wife and I spend a wonderful week in Viareggio staying in the Playa. While we have holidayed in Viareggio several times before, it was our first time in the Playa. We enjoyed our stay very much there. The hotel was very comfortable and the Reception and Dining Room staff were most friendly and pleasant as well as being extremely helpful. Their desire was to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel is well located, the facilities were very good and the room was very quiet. Altogether, a most pleasant stay. We would definitely stay in the Playa again.

Quiet and good hotel close to the beach, 2 min. walk. Room with balcony on front with sideview to the promenade and seaside. Breakfast also ordinary good.

The playa hotel offered good standard on the rooms (although the beds were a tad on the hard side), nice breakfast and dinner, and the sweetest and most service minded personell imaginable. The hotel manager, Andrea, and the rest of his crew really went out of their way to accomodate our wishes and needs; be it a room with a balcony or a dinner when the kitchen was actually closed. This made our first vacation with our two year old daughter a breeze instead of hassle (as it was about to turn into on several occations)! Big thank you's to all of them!

Great hotel in this wonderful beach town. Quiet and safe with spacious rooms. Very close to the beach. Lots of shopping and good restaurants. Would recommend for a nice, relaxing vacation in Italy.

Hotel was great value for money.Couldn't really fault anything.The breakfast choice was good.Location,only 100 metres from the beach and very short walk into the town centre.The staff deserve a special mention,friendly and helpful at all times.Would return to Hotel Playa if ever in Viareggio again.

Te hotel was well located near the sea but without traffic noise. It was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. The hotel listed cycle hire amongst its facilities. We were directed to the park at the end of the road. Only one establishment was open in October.

Very nice hotel, great location near the sea and very kind and helpful staff (helpful with information about the surroundings). We really enjoyed the breakfast and were pleased with the compliment that we took our breakfast 'Italian style':) And, last but not least, great cappucino!

This HOTEL is located VERY CLOSE to the beach.(easy to find from the train station).We had a warm welcome and this continued through out our stay .THE BREAKFAST,was fresh every morning sometimes the rolls were still hot .With plenty of choice.A PERFECT way to start the day.THE price includes the "BEACH PASS" which was GREAT as this was a BIG SAVING and GUISEPPE 2 beach attendents were freindly and pleasent you also get 2 deckchairs and an umbrella. SO with the sun shining what a better way to spend the day/s.WONDERFUL. {:O)

Nice hotel good value for money close to sea but not in the rush of pedestrians, owners very helpfull .

A highlight of our two week stay in Italy was the Hotel Playa. Room was extremely spacious, location close to beach,restaurants,shopping,wonderful breakfast each morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful (the only travel directions that got us to where we needed to go came from the desk of the Playa)As we travelled in October the weather wasn't fitting for the beach but based on what we saw if I could return to Italy in the summer with my children the Hotel Playa is where I would choose to stay...wonderful hotel!!

Chose La Playa based on comments of previous guests: wanted an inexpensive hotel close to the beach and public transportation and was not disappointed. Ample breakfast, great cappuccino! Room a bit cramped but clean and comfortable. Marco and Andrea were so cheerful and helpful with train/bus schedules and other information. Only negative: internet point not working the three days I was there.

Very friendly helpful, family run hotel situated just off the main road which meant it was nice and quiet but a stones throw from the beautiful seaside.Very good value for money.

Basic but clean, close to the sea, with helpful staff and good breakfast. We were allocated a family room for 4 people but there were only two of us so the room was quite large and considering cost we found it to be good value for money.Would imagine in the height of summer could be a little noisy as you could hear your neighbours!

Enjoyed Viareggio. Hotel Playa proved a convenient base.

We can highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was renovated, very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very rich, containing croissant, bread, yoghurts, fruitsalad, orangejuice, coffee of your choice,... You get a very good quality for the price.

The hotel owners and managers are very hospitable, accommodating and helpful. They speak english too unlike most hotels. The rooms are spacious & clean. Breakfast is very good. Free parking directly in front of the hotel is easy to find and convenient. The Hotel is walking distance to the beach and shopping areas. Very close to amenities.

Hotel was perfectly located, 2 minutes walk away from the beach. Room was small, but had everything we needed (including safe which was very good to have in the room). Room was very clean, towels changed daily. Breakfast was great, croissants, yoghurts, cakes, etc and great coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful, will definately go back when staying in Viareggio. Price vs quality was great.

Excellent hotel for the money. Very good location nere the beach.
