The hotel Playa is situated in a favourable location in the centre of Viareggio, only 50 metres from the beach and the renowned sea promenade, and close to the lush pinewood where you can spend relaxing and serene hours.
The hotel, a familiar and comfortable recently restored property, offers good services, according to its category.

Great hotel in this wonderful beach town. Quiet and safe with spacious rooms. Very close to the beach. Lots of shopping and good restaurants. Would recommend for a nice, relaxing vacation in Italy.

Hotel was great value for money.Couldn't really fault anything.The breakfast choice was good.Location,only 100 metres from the beach and very short walk into the town centre.The staff deserve a special mention,friendly and helpful at all times.Would return to Hotel Playa if ever in Viareggio again.

Te hotel was well located near the sea but without traffic noise. It was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. The hotel listed cycle hire amongst its facilities. We were directed to the park at the end of the road. Only one establishment was open in October.

Very nice hotel, great location near the sea and very kind and helpful staff (helpful with information about the surroundings). We really enjoyed the breakfast and were pleased with the compliment that we took our breakfast 'Italian style':) And, last but not least, great cappucino!

This HOTEL is located VERY CLOSE to the beach.(easy to find from the train station).We had a warm welcome and this continued through out our stay .THE BREAKFAST,was fresh every morning sometimes the rolls were still hot .With plenty of choice.A PERFECT way to start the day.THE price includes the "BEACH PASS" which was GREAT as this was a BIG SAVING and GUISEPPE 2 beach attendents were freindly and pleasent you also get 2 deckchairs and an umbrella. SO with the sun shining what a better way to spend the day/s.WONDERFUL. {:O)

A highlight of our two week stay in Italy was the Hotel Playa. Room was extremely spacious, location close to beach,restaurants,shopping,wonderful breakfast each morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful (the only travel directions that got us to where we needed to go came from the desk of the Playa)As we travelled in October the weather wasn't fitting for the beach but based on what we saw if I could return to Italy in the summer with my children the Hotel Playa is where I would choose to stay...wonderful hotel!!

Chose La Playa based on comments of previous guests: wanted an inexpensive hotel close to the beach and public transportation and was not disappointed. Ample breakfast, great cappuccino! Room a bit cramped but clean and comfortable. Marco and Andrea were so cheerful and helpful with train/bus schedules and other information. Only negative: internet point not working the three days I was there.

Basic but clean, close to the sea, with helpful staff and good breakfast. We were allocated a family room for 4 people but there were only two of us so the room was quite large and considering cost we found it to be good value for money.Would imagine in the height of summer could be a little noisy as you could hear your neighbours!

We can highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was renovated, very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very rich, containing croissant, bread, yoghurts, fruitsalad, orangejuice, coffee of your choice,... You get a very good quality for the price.

The hotel owners and managers are very hospitable, accommodating and helpful. They speak english too unlike most hotels. The rooms are spacious & clean. Breakfast is very good. Free parking directly in front of the hotel is easy to find and convenient. The Hotel is walking distance to the beach and shopping areas. Very close to amenities.

Hotel was perfectly located, 2 minutes walk away from the beach. Room was small, but had everything we needed (including safe which was very good to have in the room). Room was very clean, towels changed daily. Breakfast was great, croissants, yoghurts, cakes, etc and great coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful, will definately go back when staying in Viareggio. Price vs quality was great.

By train
From Viareggio railway station, situated in piazza della Stazione Vecchia, turn left onto via Regia, cross piazza Alessandro Manzoni, then piazza Giovanni Pacini and proceed until piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi. Then continue along viale Ugo Foscolo and take viale Michelangelo Buonarroti. Finally, turn left onto via Aurelio Saffi, where the hotel is located.
By airplane
From Pisa Galileo Galilei airport, take via Caduti di Kindu. Once in Pisa, take via Asmara, turn left onto via San Giusto and then continue on via delle Colombaie. Follow the sign for Firenze-Genova-Livorno and take the Strada Grande Comunicazione Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, then continue for 4 km. Take the motorway A12/E80 and drive for 27 km, then take the exit Viareggio Camaiore-Firenze. Take the junction Viareggio-Lucca and continue onto the SS1. After 1 km turn right in the direction of Viareggio. Continue along via Marco Polo, then across piazza Giacomo Puccini. Turn left onto viale Giosuè Carducci, left again onto viale Francesco Carrara, then right onto viale Michelangelo Buonarroti. Finally, turn left onto viale Aurelio Saffi, where the hotel is located.
