I was upgraded to the "Plaza et de Russie", a very good hotel indeed. One regret however: I was not advised in advance about the change, and lost unneccessary time and Money in taxis around Viareggio. The stay was nevertheless excellent.

Location is excellent. Rooms were ok. Breakfast rather disappointing. The hotel is not ideal for children babies!

The first room allocated to us was too small, but we were able to change to a larger one next day. The standard of decoration of the bedrooms was not as high as in the public rooms,but, overall, it was o.k.for a 3 star hotel.

This hotel was well located in the centre of Viareggio, although a good 20min walk from train station. The reception staff were welcoming, the breakfast staff weren't so much (never got a smile)! The room was adequate. You did have to run around in the shower to get wet!! Quite old fashioned but clean and comfortable.
