Hotel Dolly - Viareggio

The hotel is a bit old. The rooms are ok but the common areas are left. Quite basic breakfast. The main problem is that they don´t provide blankets and in September they´re already necesary by night. We had to sleep with a lot of clothes on.

Per passare una notte come abbiamo fatto noi è più che sufficiente, i gestori sono stati gentili e disponibili. non abbiamo potuto testare la colazione perchè ci siamo alzati tardi ma ci hanno fatto lo sconto per questo, quindi più che onesti! la posizione è molto buona perchè è vicinissimo al lungomare. l'ascensore è di una lentezza spaventosa...non so perchè...bagno pulito e carino.

Welcoming staff who spoke little english, basic clean rooms, good location as less than 5 min walk to beach, and right next to the non paying section of the beach. good cheap coffee available. the decor of the hotel is a little to be desired with lots of plastic flowers, but a lovely basic hotel.

My only complaint is that the couple that run it dont speak much English which is unusual for hotels in Italy.

Very quiet and very close to "Passeggiata"

We liked the hotel, although basic it was clean, we had a balcony over the street and there was plenty of room. Breakfast was very good, and plenty variety. We loved the fact it was so near the beach, and a short walk from the railway station. The owners were friendly although their German was much better than their English!

Very friendly staff, excellent meals, cheap rates for drinks, very quiet and clean rooms and fast service! You feel at home like in a family of good old friends. Alltogether a very pleasant stay - I will go there again!

The bed was too much hard.

We thought this hotel was very good value for money kept very clean.the food was good but little choice.the owners were very helpful but a definate problem with italian /english comunication.all in all a nice mid priced hotel

At the time of stay (October) this was a quiet well run family hotel. Location is seconds from beach and only a ten minute walk from railway station with connections for trips to other parts of Tuscany. Although limited in choice, the quality and quantity of food on offer on half-board basis was very good. Both rooms booked were kept spotless. The husband and wife team running the hotel were keen to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as they could make it despite some language barriers! I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others based on our experience and would happily return to the hotel if I was revisiting the area.
