This family-run hotel is approximately 3 km from the sea shore, easily reachable by a shuttle bus, which is at few meters from the hotel.

We were delighted with our 3-night stay in the Hotel Butterfly, at the beginning of October, overlooking the beautiful lake at Torre del Lago. Friendly welcome, very clean rooms, quiet surroundings, excellent and ample breakfasts. The other guests were middle-aged and/or business travellers. It is the only hotel in the area and just round the corner from Puccini´s house, which for opera enthusiasts must not be missed! The hotel and restaurant are not cheap, but my husband said the grilled tuna fish was the best he had ever eaten.

How to reach Hotel Butterfly

By car
Take the Aurelia SS1 street in the direction of Pisa and exit at Torre del Lago. At the first traffic light, turn right and drive through Puccini avenue until the pedestrian area where you will find the hotel.

By train
From Viareggio railway station take bus n. 2 or 3 and get off at the terminus, few meters from the hotel.
