Hotel Belvedere - Viareggio

Simple but clean Hotel. All you need for some nights.

I stayed at Hotel Belvedere for 2 weeks, and I felt very at home there. The staff were very warm and helpful, and the owner Stephano went out of his way to ensure I enjoyed my stay. He even kindly offered to drive me to the station when I left. The hotel is small, but I found it to be a very homely place, and the location was perfect! Less than 100 metres from the beach in one direction, and just accross the road from Viareggio's biggest gardens in the other direction! The room I stayed in was large and spotlessly cleaned every day. I also very much enjoyed taking my time reading whilst eating breakfast each morning, and was not rushed to finish, as I have experienced in many other hotels! I would very much recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and friendly hotel on a budget. Thank you Stephano for a lovely 2 weeks in Viareggio!

Excellent, very helpful owner, friendly staff. Provided assistance and recommendations about local attractions. Menu individualised for customers and always excellent. Good location-beach and forrest accross the road, close to shops and restaurants, bus stops, bike hire. Stefano, the owner, speaks English and really cares about his guests.

El hotel es encantador, con las paredes pintadas como un jardín. Muy tranquilo y familiar. Stefano te proporciona todo lo que necesites, información, bicis... y el servicio es muy agradable, aunque no hables italiano.

Nous aurions eu du mal à trouver l'hôtel sans le GPS. Les indications tournez à gauche à l'arbre N°25 sont un peu vagues. En entrant l'adresse, le GPS nous a emmené devant l'hôtel. C'est une petite structure environ 12 chambres très conviviale. Par contre à cette période il y a peut-être encore peu de demande, du coup notre chambre sentait le renfermé. Nous avions une chambre pour 4: 2 adultes 2 ados, suffisamment grande pour une nuit. Les sanitaires (WC salle de bain) sont assez anciens, du coup la propreté est discutable. Rideau de douche douteux, tapis plastique en fond de douche peu hygiénique, pas de grande serviette pour chacun. Ne vaut pas un 2 étoiles français. Il y avait des odeurs d'égouts qui remontaient pas très agréables. Le coin est très calme, la mer toute proche. Accueil très sympathique

Very friendly personnel, very informative on touristic sites not only in Viareggio. Excellent location between the sea and the park. Very clean. Excellent food and wine (you can get also lunch and supper, not only breakfast)

The room was big enough, however, could need some paint. The bathroom was quite small. The room was facing to a traficated street, but rooms to the back exist. Breakfast ok, but ask for good coffee. Very informative on touristic sites. Shortly longer to the beach than indicated. Close to Pisa and other sites.

This was a very tacky hotel and was not at all what we expected, especially at the price. Non-smoking rooms smelled strongly of smoke, fittings were basic and the bathrooms were very poor. Overall, conditions were very mediocre and overpriced. The people were nice enough but how can you tell them their facilty if not nice?

A very comfortable two-star hotel, close to the beach area. My double room was spacious and reasonably well appointed. It was very clean. Breakfast was also very good.

Excellent family-run hotel, with the personal touch that chain hotels lack. Great value for money, just a few yards from the beach, but quite a walk from the town centre. Good shops etc. on the other side of the park.

THe Management of the Belvedere are wonderful. They served us breakfast on the outside patio and were truly friendly despite language difficulties between us.
