This hotel was located near the train station - which is why I picked it - due to business travel after the weekend. It was a bit of a walk from the center of town. It was a very nice hotel.

This is very much a 3* hotel, but a good one. Its a 30 min walk into town, which is pleasant but is very handily placed near the train station - however, given that you need to be aware that there does seem to be a slight prostitution issue - so not ideal for walking back as single ladies - this really didnt bother us at all and wasnt a big issue, but some might be put off. Rooms are adequate, smallish, but quiet, clean and tidy with good shower facilities. Not luxurious, but that isnt what we were looking for. Breakfast was very nice too. What we particularly liked about this place was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff who were excellent and very welcoming and I would have no problem recommending it.

A few minutes walk from the train & bus station so ideal location for travellers who want to explore the area by public transport. However a female traveller on her own might feel uneasy returning to the hotel on foot after dark. Longer walk to main sites and eating places so the less mobile traveller would need to take a taxi. Very friendly and helpful staff always on duty. A bit more variation in the buffet breakfast would have been welcome plus a few added hot items.

It was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We chose it again because the staff is very friendly and the location is good (near to train station and central bus station). You should ask for rooms facing the park, they are much quieter.

I won't stay in this hotel a second time. The hotel was simple, plain and dated; the rooms were small; the area was pretty seedy and a little far from the city center; the price wasn't that cheap. The hotel wasn't horrible, but the combination of quality, location and price didn't add up for me.

Only my second hotel in Europe. I chose it for ease of getting to/from station. It was not like the usual location of station hotels. Although it was a bit of a walk, it was flat and easy and well signposted from the station. It was in a quiet street at the rear and I heard no trains at all. I asked for a quiet room at the back and they upgraded me to a double without my asking. It looked out on the park and although I heard a little bit of noise from other guests in corridor and nearby, I heard no street or train noise at all. Although the bathroom was a little small it was very clean and quite adequate. I was pleasantly surprised and decided to stay a third night. The free bikes were a real plus as it is a longish walk to the centre of town. I found it very easy, flat and with many cycle lanes or quiet back streets to explore. Breakfast was very ample and delicious with a good choice, in pleasant surroundings. I was not troubled by the few prostitutes, who do hang about in the area nearby. I was quite happy to come and go on my own, although i didnt try to come back after dark. I would be very happy to stay there again and I loved Verona, especially in the early evening.

The Hotel is in the industrial area, away from the historical town. It was within walking distance from the train station and the bus terminus. We took the bus to go into town. We felt safe walking to the Hotel late the evening. The road in front of the Hotel was quite busy and noisy early in the morning. The staff were very friendly and informative. We stayed one night, but will go back to Verona another time, it is a wonderfull town to explore by foot.

Hotel a great location for train travel as we walked with our bags from station. Not the best area as it is busy and abit dodgy, but we had no problems - walked into Verona that evening for dinner, also took advantage of their free bikes the next day and had a great ride through the city / old town / colloseum area - recommended! I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the station, but it was still quite a walk. There was a 15 minute bus ride into town, with a walk at both ends. I envied the couples with cars! The room was small, but clean. Mine had a view of the fields behind. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The computer in the public area did not work. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.

Nice hotel. Great location for me as I used Verona as a base to see other places via the train station which is 3 mins away. Had no problem with anyone in the surrounds of the hotel. The hotel was convenient (400m walk) for the train and bus station from which it was a 5 minute bus journey into the centre of Verona (depening on traffic). The hotel staff were very helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. Price-wise I would say that it represented good value for Verona.

I chose this hotel because it's close to the train station and I needed the convenience, but, not surprisingly, being near the train station means being in a lousy area, which would be fine if the hotel were less expensive, but I thought it was very overpriced for the area it's in. It's clean and new inside, albeit devoid of charm, but I wish we'd spent 8 euros on a cab and stayed in town.

I stayed alone for 10 nights. The staff were very helpful in several specific ways and were always very polite and cheerful. Breakfast was plentiful and service excellent. I had a room on the back which was very quiet but very small. The hotel is very close to the local and regional bus terminus so no need to walk into the centre- there are plenty of buses. There are a few prostitutes in the street but they were not agressive for pedestrians.

I stayed in Verona for 4 days having one day trip to Venice in the meantime and the hotel was really great solution.First of all it is so close to the station(5-7 minutes of walk).About the room:spotless, nicely furbished, with a nice but a bit too small bathroom(it was a single room).Breakfast was just great:everything fresh and lots of it however coffee could be better for Italy!the surroundings of the hotel could also be better-people hanging around didn't make me feel extremely safe but nothing happened. To the centre of Verona it is not so far(I walked most of times and it takes around 20 minutes/half an hour)but as far as I know there are bikes you can get for free from the hotel.Generally I would recommend this hotel because of location and quite high standard for 3 stars it has.Good, relaxing stay.

First of all, it was a bit hard to find the hotel. Not that it's far away, in fact it's very close to the train station, but the street it's on isn't listed on the maps you can buy at the station. So just find someone to help you out and it's a 7 minute walk to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and were so helpful. One staff member directed us to a great restaurant. Also, breakfast was included in the price. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms, while small, were very nice. The bathroom was spotless, with plenty of high-end amenities. We had turn-down service with a chocolate on the bed. I highly recommend the hotel. Although it may not be in the prettiest part of Verona, it was very conveniently located next to the train station and the bus lines.

The hotel and room was exactly as described on the Venere webpage. The room was rather small, but clean and sufficient for four days. The nights were silent, since car traffic on the street is prohibited after 11 pm. Only at daytime some more traffic and some noise from railway. 15 minutes walk to Piazza Bra and the arena. No restaurants or pubs in the near neighborhood, fast food available at the railway station (ca. 250 m), other restaurants on the way to the city centre. Drawback: After 5 pm some 'ladies' lined up at the street, less than 30 m from the hotel entrance, every evening.

the room was excellent, with all the comforts and a very spacious bathroom, too. Also excellent was the selection available at breakfast and the appearance of the hotel. The place is very easy to reach from the station, just a short walk so it's quite handy if a bit secluded and not far from the city centre either, of easy reach with the bus or even on foot. The only negative thing was the proximity of the railways track which was a bit noisy some times in the night if we had our window open. All in all excellent value for money and excellent hotel.

My sister and I stayed here only two nights, but wish we had booked it for more. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even though there is no restraunt in the hotel (a nice breakfast is served) they call one down the street to be sure that they were still open for lunch before we wandered down there. We had a "superior" room and it was worth the little extra money - they had a turn down service and a chocolate at the bedside at night. We had trouble figuring out the satalite system, but the young lady at the desk was very sweet and came right away to help figure out that the connections had been undone when the room was cleaned. It was a very pleasant place to stay and I would recomend it to anyone.

Convenient to the train station, once you get onto the right track (had a job actually 'finding' it). Bit of a hike into the city centre, and I seemed to always take a wrong turn walking back to the hotel. The hotel itself was excellent - the room, the breakfast and the service. On the plus side the staff are friendly and the location is handy for the railway station. On the other hand I would call the room 2 star, not 3, and the facilities were adequate rather than good. Don't worry about the prostitutes outside - they seem to operate on a drive through basis and don't bother people on foot - the extremely noisy road is a far worse problem if your room is at the front of the hotel. Because of the noise from the road I would not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel was excellent! The staff were superb, very helpful indeed. The breakfast facilities were first class, as were the rooms. The hotel was extremely clean and well kept. It was about 5 minutes walk from the station and Ryanair Bus stop. It was about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Verona. Taxi's are very common but we walked both ways twice a day. The hotel doesn't have a bar or restaurant but we went into the city for our meals. We had a 3 course meal for 13 Euros - look in the restaurant booklet in the room, it is a very good reference guide. In regard to the ladies in the car park outside, we saw 1 in the week we were there and I can say they were not a problem in the slightest!! Our stay was nice for every aspect but a couple (among the minor ones): 1) during our stay (december) the room was very (very) hot and we weren't able to lower its temperature; it can be nice if you plan to stay naked while inside it, otherwise it can be annoying... 2) the surroundings look quite gloomy and deserted (we even met a couple of prostitutes), and the pavements are broken and uncomfortable, despite the fact it's a residential zone near the main Verona station; nothing of this was anyway fault of the Hotel; moreover, you will eventually be a little bit depressed but won’t need to be worried about being involved in criminal activities! (luckily, violent crime in the streets is very rare in the vast majority of the Italian cities). We walked from and to the city centre (and around), in the night also, never having the slightest problem or fear...

The property itself is lovely and well located, the staff very friendly and helpful. The HUGE problem is from the noise of the dance clubs located on the first and second floors of the building. We were not warned of this either on the website or by the staff at check-in. Since the primary purpose of a hotel is to sleep, this one factor ruined all the others.

Hotel was very convenient to station, easy to find. Area not the best but fine for a one-night stay. Service was competent and helpful, room pleasant although airconditioning didn't seem to work and it was warm and muggy. en-suite was clean, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

A lot of traffic noise influence on the quality of the hotel and the rooms. The room itself was excellent. The breakfast was ordinary. Employees seemed uninterested toward the guests.

The hotel is nice and the staff helpful, but the neighborhood a little sketchy. And frankly, it's too expensive! I only chose it because it seemed to be the closest hotel to the station. What I didn't realize at the time was that walking through that neighborhood after dark wasn't the best idea, no matter how short the walk!

We arrived by train and took a taxi as we could not get anyone to give adequate direction, however the hotel is within 10 min walking distance once you know were it is.we arrived at noon but had to wait for about an hour for our room to be prepared. The room was a good size, clean comfortable and air conditioned.the staff were polite and helpfull. The breakfast had plenty of choice and service was very good.I thought the price was at the high end for a 3 star hotel given its location, however we stayed 21 july.It was about 20 minutes walk to the arena but public transport was close if required.I would reccomend staying there and I would certainly consider staying there again on any future visit to Verona.

Nice hotel, very close to the train station in Verona. Comfortable beds, good breakfast and the private parking was nice.

We enjoyed our five day stay in Novo Hotel Rossi. The room was spacious and very quiet. The service was adequate. For our car there was a private parking place. The hotel is located not far from the railway station and easy to find when arriving by car (exit Verona-Nord of autostrada 22). This implies that the "centro storico" of Verona is not nearby; the nearest bus stop is at 10 minutes walking. An unpleasant surprise was that the room rate was increased with 70% at those days that there were opera performances in the Arena (€165 instead of €97).

This is a very nice hotel within about 20 minutes walking distance of central Verona. The staff were pleasant and helpful and contrary to some other comments there was little or no evidence of the local "working girls"! The reception area was undergoing refurbishment while we were there. The room and the buffet breakfast were both good here.

The Novo Hotel Rossi is very conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from the FS railway station where the airport bus terminates. There is a huge sign by the steps showing you the way. The hotel is situated in a very pleasant residential area. The room and bathroom were very clean and the staff very helpful. If you try to practise Italian with them they will respond very warmly. The only downsides are: firstly, the car park outside is used by working girls to pick up trade but if you keep to the pavement on the opposite side and then cross the road, this shouldn't be a problem. In any case, they didn't hang around right outside the hotel entrance. Secondly, if you pay with a debit/credit card, ask to be billed in Euros (if you live outside the Eurozone), otherwise you will be charged in your country's currency at a much less favourable rate. Apart from that, I can't fault this hotel and would gladly stay there again.

Nice hotel. If you come back in the evening there may be prostitutes in the area. They don't seem to use the hotel though. The hotel deserves its 3 stars and, as such, is a class above the area it is located in.

Very pleasant and quiet hotel. Clean rooms with nice interior design. Nice breakfast as well. Easy walking to the main attractions of the city. The only drawback we found was the poor acoustic insulation between the rooms, because of which we were awaken at 7:00 am by the conversation of nearby guests.

This place was a great place to stay in Verona because of convenience to the railway station and because of the efficient attentiveness of the staff. The breakfast included a variety of fresh tasty choices of breads, cheeses and meats, while tea and coffee was surved with a smile. A bit of a hike to town but not too bad - day or night. Whilst we did see a couple of working girls in the carpark and further up near the station in the evenings (freezing in the below zero fog) we felt quite safe and were not at all troubled - in fact we probably would not have even noticed had it not been for other reviewers comments - certainly no sleazy - just cold. There were other families staying at the hotel and some upmarket backpackers. The staff were helpful with every request and spoke excellent english allowing us to rest from using poor italian. The place was clean and smelled fresh. Lots of hot water for showers.

Because the door had been locked when arriving at 10 PM, it embarrassed it a little. I think that another was a very good hotel.

Excellent spacious room with large clean bathroom. Very close to train station (200m), but only problem not that close to the city centre (ca 1,5 km). Definitely recommended, if you are carrying a lot of luggage.

Situated in a rather rough neighborhood very close to the train station, it's not the ideal location if you want silence and beautiful surroundings. However, the city centre and the Arena is just a 15-minute walk away, or a 7 Euro cab ride. The hotel is also very easily reached by car/train. The very affordably priced rooms are more than enough to compensate the location. Our room was spacious and very clean with en-suite bathroom. Service is slick. I can recommend the hotel for a brief visit to Verona. If I were to stay longer, I would prefer a hotel in the historic centre of Verona.
