We spent 4 comfortable nights in this quiet yet convenient hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom immaculate, the nights quiet. Though it is in the central area of the historic town and near the Adige , it isn't in the most crowded part, so there was no sense of emerging into a crush but varied shopping is nearby. Everything we wanted to see is in walking distance. The staff were very helpful, the general ambience is great. In our case a generous basic breakfast was provided free; trimmings such as cooked breakfast could be paid for. (No restaurant.)

Stayed 2 days in Verona. Top hotel and top class staff. The lady at the desk was calm, efficient, and nothing was too much trouble for her. A real gem. Will definitely go back and recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Staff is Quite reluctant; friendliness rare! To take a shower was rather tricky, either u burn yourself or you freeze. The architecture of the Building is a very bizarr mixture between old and historic and ugly, tasteless 70ies Architecture!,

The Hotel Victoria is a gem in the middle of the center of Verona. Next to the Porta Borsari and Santa Euphemia it is an ideal location. The church San Giovanna de foro is really worth seeing and is on,y steps from the hotel.

We visited Florence and Venice and then moved to Verona. We stayed at this hotel from july 28 to 30, which is a peak of its opera season. We are so far satisfied with this hotel but its price is high compairing to the equivalent hotel in other cities like Venice.

Excellent hotel!!! We have spent three days within the hotel and spent wonderful long weekend. The hotel staff is really amazing, showing us all the best restaurants within the town and the best places to go for a coffee. The hotel is very nicely decorated and it’s conveniently situated in the heart of the city in a very nice area. We really felt like we’re at home there!!! Thank you VERY much for making our vacations unforgettable!!!

We asked for a small bed for our child. They said that in the standard room there was no space for a bed, so they gave us a wonderful suite, wih the bed already installed. It was a great surprise. It is a pity that the parking is so much expensive, but it is clearly idicated on the web page.

Visiting Verona for the fourth time and second time in this hotel. We even got the same room but the room was not available until 16:00 Verona being a nice city my wife and I went shopping and had a nice lunch. However we went back to the hotel reception to times. First at 13:00 and was informed the room would be ready at 14:00. Unfortunately the room was not available until 16:00 No discharge or complementary were offered.

Found the hotel difficult to find and not well identified even when you got quite close to it. A large sign on the corner of the road pointing to the hotel would have been very useful.Apart from that a very enjoyable stay in a comfortable room. Staff were very good except when we had a misunderstanding when the receptioist thought we were asking what time the bar closed when what we wanted to know whether we would be able to get back into the hotel after a late night opera performance

Hotel Victoria didn't meet fully my expectations . Breakfast room was too small, though the public areas were many and large. Car parking is expensive, the parking lot is very narrow and I had to park myself my car. In a 4 stars hotel I expected a parking boy.

The hotel is located perfect. Walking distance to the Arena, shopping malls, sight seeing areas. The rooms are ok. The shower cabines do not accept a second plate of pasta.. Breakfast is much better than Italian standards, but availably only indoor. 4-star-price/3.5-star quality. Little deaper price would leave a better feeling.

The hotel is in a great location. It's right in the heart of the old town and just a short walk to shops, places to eat and the Arena. I picked this hotel due to the location. I didn't want to be right beside the Arena which is always busy. Instead, I wanted to be able to leave the hustle and bustle if I chose too. The staff were helpful but the hotel itself was a little disappointing. The room was very small. Rooms are generally smaller than say a room in the US but we had stayed in Ruzzini's Palace and Palazzo Stern in Venice. Both of these hotels had spacious beautiful rooms. The shower in the hotel was one of these pod showers. Around the fittings and door seals there was black mould. I also noticed the corners of the room were dirty so the cleaners obviously weren't thorough. The bed in the room, was the most uncomfortable bed too. The worst of the 3 hotels we stayed in. I didn't get a good nights sleep at all while I was there. Lastly, the passage into the hotel (from the street to the lobby) always smelled. I don't know if it was something they used to clean there or what but it was horrible. The hotel is not all bad. There is a small bar with a pool table and it's location makes up for a lot of its shortcomings. It's reasonable enough too price wise but once you're in the hotel, you feel that it could be cheaper. Would I go back? Probably not. I'd look for something else in the same area that was a little nicer.

Our first time to Verona and the location of Hotel Victoria made it really easy to enjoy the old town! Its located just off the main shopping street of Verona. The Hotel Victoria is a beautiful hotel on a great location. You can walk everywhere. We could leave our car even longer without paying extra. The only bad thing to say is, that the bar wasn't open at the hours promised. It said it would be open till midnight. But already at 11 pm, the bartender gave us the impression that he wanted to close and he wasn't capable of making any cocktails. We were sorry about that as we wanted to celebrate our friend's birthday.

Great location, close to all the local attractions. Got a free upgrade to Jr Suite, so no complaints. I took the airport-train station bus for 4.5 euros and ended up taking a cab from train station to the hotel for another 9 euros. Didn't want to mess with the bus. All in all, easy to get to and pleasant stay all around.

Spacious and very quiet hotel in spite of being very close to the centre. Beautiful (if somewhat cold) mix of ancient and modern building. It is also great to see ancient stones and mosaica through glass in some rooms (breakfast room and lounge). It is a pity that the reception is so poor : cold, looking down at you. Cleaning and breakfast staff are lovely.

This is an excellent hotel in a lovely city and well worth a visit. The rooms and services are excellent (computer and internet access in the room a rare treat), the staff competent and friendly and the breakfast very good. A wonderful bonus is the display of archeological excavations in the basement. This was our second stay at the Victoria and we will certainly return. We have one small complaint, though, which is that the hotel gym is not available for the use of guests early in the morning, which is when I, and I'm sure many others, prefer to exercise. As the gym was one of the reasons for our choosing to stay at the Victoria, this was a disappointment.

It was our first time we stayed at Hotel Victoria and we enjoyed it very much. The Hotel ist absolutely near to the Arena and instead of the many tourists it was very calm. They offered delightful Italian Breakfast and an excellent Capucchino.

This hotel is ideal for people like us who arrive exhausted and need a quiet hotel in a very central location. Our superior room was well worth the extra cost. The room was beautiful and there was no noise at all at night or in the early morning. We were only a few minutes walk from the Arena. It was especially nice as the Opera was on at the time we visited. The hotel is alot nicer than in the photographs. It is ideal for a romantic weekend away. This was our first stay. We would like to go back again.

The hotel is located in the historic center of Verona only a few steps from the Arena. During the opera season it is hard to find a suitable hotel in the center, so we decided in a superior suite but our room was more like a double room with jacuzzi bathtub. The service at the reception desk was really unfriendly and the retaurant they recommanded offered the worst italian dinner I ever had. The hotel in general made a poor impression.

At the time of booking, the hotel did not state in its web pages that it did not have non-smoking rooms. Because it was within the festival period and the trip was last minute, I could not cancell without penalty. I decided to risk it. Although I am only mildly allergic to tobacco products I became violently ill that night and had skin reactions for almost a week. All those with tobacco allergies should be warned.

We had a lovely sitting room besides the bedroom which I did not expect. Our view from the one window was roof tops. There was a nice note about protecting the environment by not washing bath linens every day. We followed the guidelines, but our linens were changed anyway. The suite was charming. Regarding your questionnaire: If you insist that I answer every question on this questionnaire, then you should give me a chance to say neither or I don't know, or some other neutral choice. I shouldn't be forced to rate something that I don't know (like type and number of rooms available or photos) or when neither answer is what I would want, as in question 2 below. So you should disregard my answer on those questions.

Very central. quite large double (superior) room with extras like computer. Huge (6 ft) bed, very comfortable. Room seemed dark because of typical Italian decor and beautiful dark wood. Large bathroom with shower & bidet but also dark until we noticed 2 wall lights at the end of our stay. Breakfast buffet was exellent. Can have omelette etc for a extra charge. Overall would highly recommend (but quite expensive).

As Verona changed their one way street system we had great difficulties to get to the hotel by car. It is strongly suggested that the hotel provides specific directions as to how one gets to them by car. Otherwise we enjoyed (our second stay already!) at the hotel and will choose it again when we visit Verona.

Nice Hotel with excellent standards of accomodation, cleanliness and staff competence. Bar area pleasant but no restaurant. Not a problem because Verona offers so much. If visiting for Opera and sight-seeing, Hotel Victoria is ideally situated. Recommended!!

The hotel was of top quality . From the Etro bath products to the silk lined walls, everything was first class. The breakfast was standard continential fare but the service was excellent with the crema of the cappucino designed in an elegant pattern. The hotel is a great location to walk home late from the opera.
