excellent service throughout our stay, very nice room and bathroom facilities although some additional storage space and a larger refrigerator would be beneficial. breakfasts are more than adequate however occasionally the breakfast room is rather crowded particularly when a tour group is staying there. hotel position, although on the main road, is perfectly situated between the old town and the railway and bus terminals only minutes walk away. regarding room charges there is an additional daily city tax of 1.5 euros per person per day to be considered over and above the hotel rates quoted. all in all we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this hotel to whomever is considering a visit to this beautiful city.

Verona is a fabulous place and this hotel was really close to the rail station, about 15 mins walk with luggage at a leisurely pace. It was also very close to Piazza Bra and the Opera which we had booked, for our first night. The hotel reception was open 24 hours which was great for returing at 1 am after Aida!!The hotel was lovely and our room was large and modern with plenty of space for the 3 of us.; Our room was in another building which felt like an office block as it was full of doctors and solicitors so this was a bit odd. I think we were the only people from the hotel in here. I think it should be made clear in advance if you will be in an annex so you can choose it or not. We would prefer to be in the main hotel, but this room was really nice and did not cause us any probelms, it was very quiet. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice, will go again.

Beautiful hotel, stayed in a family room for two adults and two children. Plenty of room and ultra modern chic with underfloor heating and possibly the nicest hotel bathroom I have seen yet. I will definitely make a return for a romantic break to Verona(minus the kids) and will stay here again.

We had a great stay in this hotel. Nice and clean. Nice staff. When our neighbour turned his tv on very loud at night, it was solved very nicely. The hotel is close to the center of Verona. It was also not a long walk to the trainstation. Experiering the earthquake was a big shock, but the stay in the hotel was great. A nice price for a very good hotel.

Hotel Verona is a very new hotel with very new and modern amenities. The toilet is commendable as it is big, spacious and well-maintained. Buffet breakfast was excellent with many choices. Free internet in all the rooms is a big PLUS. Location to the various tourist attractions is within walking distance. Not very near to the Main Inter-City Train Station (TrenItalia) but still walkable. Nearest supermart is a 10 min walk away.

Enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Verona (5 nites) very much and would recommend the hotel to anyone. In fact I have already. The location is terrific - the arena, shopping, great restaurants are all so close. June 1st we attended the opening of the opera season at the arena and it had to be the highlight of our trip. How wonderful to be part of the event with 15,000 people. The staff at Hotel Verona were so helpful and nothing was ever a problem. My next trip to Verona I will certainly stay there again.

Clean and stylish hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was good - huge selection of cakes. About 15 - 20 minutes walk to the train station (with luggage). 5 - 10 minutes walk from Piazza Bra (where the Arena is). The room was very nicely done up, though a little short on space for luggage. We would stay here again.

The location is excellent. However, the employees are not competent enough to work on a international hotel. Since we arrived at the hotel we didnt had any information about the beautiful city of Verona (there was no maps on the reception), about the hotel services (breakfast), etc. They gave us an apartment located on the last floor, wich was accessible only by stairs. The room was old and musty for the price we've paid. Thank god our stay was only for one day.

Overall I loved this hotel as being central to the city, easy to find, close to the railway etc. It was a haven of coolness in one of the hottest weekends I've ever spent in Verona, the breakfasts were excellent quality and the shower was wonderful. I loved the floor to ceiling windows that opened as doors onto a little balcony. The only problem was that the traffic was very noisy but it's the price you pay for a very central hotel. I went for the opera at the arena and again it was just a short stroll to and from the hotel.

The Service was as good since my last visit. The front side is with an open Window noisy in the morning, but closed quiet enough. A parking garage is close by (full if Arena events are). Free WLan offered. The location of the hotel is very good to explore the old city of Verona. No car is needed, the most interesting places are reachable with a short walk. And Via Mazzini is, of course, interesting for shopping. The next time i will stay there.

An easy walk from the train station and just a block and a half from Piazza Bra in the old town. Hotel Verona is a great choice for early trains or flights and for seeing the city. The wireless internet access is a plus - ask for an id & password at the front desk. The staff is efficient and friendly. I use this hotel when flying from Verona early and have not had the breakfast, but have been offered a coffee & brioche before leaving in the morning even though it was before the breakfast hours.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Porta Nuova train station and a block and a half from Piazza Bra in the old town. The room was larger than most that I have stayed in. The property is modern and comfortable. Wireless internet is available throughout the property - just ask for a user name and password at the desk. This was our first visit to Verona; we stayed only one night, and not during Opera season. I found the hotel excellent and the price very reasonable. The hotel is a short and easy walk from the train station (we arrived by train), only a few blocks from the Arena, and not much further to many of the other main sights. It is on a major street, and so traffic noise begins early in the morning. There are some coffee shops in the block and although the immediate surroundings are not as "quaint" as some areas, it feels comfortable and safe and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful with directions and with permitting us to store our luggage before we had access to our room (as well as after we left). The buffet breakfast was varied and good. Overall, I was very pleased and would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Verona. The room was very spacious and clean with an updated and modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start of the day. The staff were top notch. They were very helpful and very patient even with my "difficulties" parking in the underground parking structure. Modernas, espaciosas y muy limpias. Detalle de fruta a la llegada en la habitación. El desayuno tipo buffer sin ser impresionante estaba muy completo en una sala muy amplia. This hotel was recommended by a friend who stayed outside of opera season. They got a good room and a good price (€150). We booked a few weeks in advance for one night during opera season (€215). The location was very good, being just outside the old town. The room we got was very small and quite dingy (but clean). I looked into another room which was larger and more modern. All the public areas are filled with piped jazz muzak, which seeped into our room to some degree. There was also quite a lot of noise from the floor above. Breakfast was a good buffet style breakfast. All in all, a good location and breakfast, but the room was disappointing for that price. I suspect outside of opera season we would have got a better room for less money in this hotel.

Good hotel when on business, good location and easy access to the major Autostrada. Would not recommend for families. Parking is expensive, try to find street parking and feed the meter. Booked this hotel from venere.com where there were good reviews. We reserved for 2 nights but checked out after the first and moved to the Dei' Capuletti. The pros: Great location (a block from Piazza Bra') and clean and modern. The staff were helpful and polite. The cons: When we were there, the hotel was little more than an expensive youth hostel. The average age of the guests was about 25 I'd say, and they seem to have traveled in groups of 6-10. At 1:15 am a group of them decided that it would be fun to have a party, but since the rooms are so tiny, of course they had to have it in the room and the hallway with the door open. Lots of MTV Italia (as loud as the TV would go) and shouting in Italian (giggly girls, boys wrestling in the halls--the whole 9 yards). They were so oddly unconcerned about anyone else in the hotel that it was almost funny. But the weird thing is that when I tried to call the front desk to have them shut the party down, there were absolutely no instructions on how to connect with hotel facilities. No numbers, no cards, nothing. I dialed "0", "00" "000" to no avail. Nothing worked. I eventually had to find a hotel business card and call downstairs using my cell phone!. To their credit, the partiers shut it down around 2:30am after the night concierge had a word. Summary: This hotel is either a very expensive youth hostel or a loud bargain hotel. Either way, you could do better in Verona (and we did at the Dei' Capuletti)

This is one of the best values I have ever had in a hotel. The hotel is a block and a half from Piazza Bra and the Arena. It's about a 15 minute walk to/from the train station. The staff was excellent, the room was modern and spacious, and they had free wireless internet. I had to leave early for the airport, but they offered me coffee over an hour before the breakfast was scheduled to be opened. I would definitely stay again. This would be a terrific location for the opera at te Arena in the summer.

The staff were fantastic- gave us a map, directions, restaurant recommendations etc etc before they even handed over the key. Very friendly. Breakfast was excellent- quite a good choice and everything freshly made- they refreshed the pastries several times while we were sitting. Free use of internet too. Great location- in between the train station and the old city walls so only a short walk to either. The rooms are not huge but the modern design helps. Takes a bit of figuring out to work all the switches for the lights and the blinds. We stayed on the 5th floor and our room seemed like it was not quite finished- just a few empty holes around waiting for more wiring etc. I think the staff, the breakfast and the location make up for any shortfalls in room size, noise etc. A very good stay.

Location perfect - everywhere was walkable; Arena just a stroll away. Staff great; recommended non-tourist restaurants were excellent (but remember, if you ask for a non-tourist restaurant don't expect the menu to be in English!). My room was adequate for one, but the bathroom was compact; my friend's room was much larger. Breakfast was good, except that some of the fruit (peaches) was tinned, and there was no bar in the hotel so no prosecco for breakfast, but the minibar was well-stocked and reasonably priced. Only two negative points: the glass walls, doors etc and also the staircase would be very unfriendly to the visually impaired; the sound insulation between the corridor and the room was non-existent - matters when many guests return from the opera well after midnight - but no noise between rooms.

Hotel Verona was a great find. We did have one of the larger rooms. Some of them are quite small. We would not have cared because everything else would have made up for a smaller room. Good breakfast. Two short blocks to Piazza Bra and the Arena area. Romeo & Juliette opera was playing at the arena but sold out. (I wish we had known in advance). We caught a bicycle race finish in the piazza on Sunday morning, very exciting! I would love to visit Verona again and would stay here again in a minute.

The hotel is ideally located at a 2 minute walk from the main square (Piazza Bra). The hotel itself is a great one with modern décor, excellent staff who are very helpful (and speak good English), and has a decent breakfast. Free Internet access via Wifi or thru the computer next to the reception made the stay even more pleasant. The reception people will guide you to where to go, where to eat, what to see. This is a delightful small hotel which has recently been extended. It is close to the Arena, numerous restaurants and all of the sights of this great city. The welcome is impeccable and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and is served by an extremely efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Of the restaurants we frequented, two deserve a special mention. One, Cantore, just some hundred metres from Paizza Bra, and the other (name forgotten) in a small alley just off Piazza Bra. Both have very good food in an informal atmosphere. Also worth investigating are the cafes around Piazza Erbe -very friendly.

Excellent hotel very close to the main piazza in Verona, in a large and pleasant avenue not far from the railway station (15 minutes walk). Very modern public areas and nice people at the reception. One of the best breakfast I had in any Italian hotel (plenty of ham, mortadella, juices, croissants, fresh fruit, cereals, etc. as much as you will). The bedroom not too large but you're not supposed to spend your time there in such a nice city as Verona. Only flaw, the price of course. But it was the opera season in the arenas, so no surprise. As a whole, an excellent choice.

We stayed for one night to go to the the opera,as we were staying at Desenzano on lake Garda and we did not want to hurry back after opera had finished. Hotel Verona is in an excellent location,5 minutes walk to arena and approx 15 from train station.Hotel ideally situated for exploring historical centre of Verona.Room was very clean and modern with all expected facilities.Great breakfast although breakfast room was a little small.Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely use this hotel again.

Fantastic, beautiful surroundings. I would recommend and will be coming back to this Hotel. Buffet breakfast was just what you needed to give you enough energy to see all the sites in Verona and the surrounding towns. Very friendly staff.

We chose this hotel because of location and it was excellent; although "800 meters from rail station" seemed an under-estimate. A bit longer walk than that! But not unpleasant, even with wheeled luggage. Hotel was immaculately clean and chic. A little too modern for our taste but that's not really a negative(travel guide said hotel put too much effort into modernizing the public areas but not enough in the rooms = Wrong! The room was up-to-date and very comfortable) Staff was charming, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic; quality, quantity and selection. Room was very spacious with a great bathroom; loved the shower! Satellite TV was a great surprise. We booked several hotels with Venere for our vacation and this was the second one where travel guidebooks made remarks that were not accurate. We suggest that Venere point out these positives to override inaccurate info in guide books. example: for this hotel, it was mentioned that street-facing rooms are extremely noisy. Not True! We hardly heard any noise from the busy street. There was no need to open windows as the A/C was very efficient; so anyone who gets a street-side room need not worry about noise. We feel the remarks posted by Venere customers are far more dependable and accurate than many guidebooks. Online photos do not do hotel justice! We are very pleased with all the bookings we've made on this site over the past couple of years!

Our third stay at this excellent small hotel was just as fine as before. The location is just about perfect - good car-parking, local banks and cafes and just a few minutes walk to L'Arena, yet in a relatively quiet area of this fabulous city. For the first time, we had a meal in one of the restaurants on Piazza Bra and were disappointed - there are many fine restaurants a short walk away. The hotel staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Each time, we have stayed in an excellent junior suite on the 6 floor, so we cannot comment on the other rooms. One minor point - the provision of tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be welcome (as it would in most other hotels in Italy). The continental breakfast is very good and is served in a pleasent basement room in a most efficient manner. Overall, a great hotel and one which we plan to return to soon.

Our first time in Verona for holidays. The location was excellent and the staff polite and helpful. We could communicate with them in english. We enjoyed enormously the free bicycles provided by this hotel, it let us explore most of the city. Breakfast was good and abundant.

This hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distances to all sights in the historic center of Verona. The rooms were small but very clean. The staff was quite helpful, and spoke very good English. We took a trip to the Valpolicella region and toured a winery. I recommend that highly.

Hotel Verona is one of the best hotel I've ever stayed at, comparing the price, cleanliness of rooms, location and price. The stuff is kind, professional, the breakfast was good. I would (and will) return to this hotel for sure.

Chic and modern, this hotel was beautiful yet comfortable. The location is convenient -- great sushi restaurant across the street -- and the design and architecture is gorgeous. Nice amenities, too, and a lovely breakfast. A quick walk to the shops and historic sites.

good location - few minutes walk to Piazza Bra. friendly staff and a good buffet breakfast though the boiled eggs run out pretty fast - if you're late, no boiled eggs for the day. nice decorated room with a balcony. can be a bit noisy as near the main road but once door is closed, pretty quiet.

Buon hotel sotto tutti gli aspetti, arredamento funzionale e ambiente allegro. Buona la colazione e ottima ubicazione. Le stanze non sono molto spazione, ma per un soggiorno breve va benissimo

My husband and I visited Verona in late September. The hotel was very modern in design and we felt very much at home. Recommendations by the desk clerks were very helpful in terms of where to eat, what to see and do. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, juices, cereal, cheese and meat available as well as coffee of our choice. We appreciated the availability of internet service. Hotel was conveniently located to walk to everything - the Arena, Juliet's house, art gallery with a fabulous Mantegna exhibit. Next visit we would spend longer and enjoy more of the sights than two days allowed us.

A lovely hotel in easy walking distance of all the main attractions. Our double room was quite small but that is to be expected in europe although we also had a triple room on the top floor that was very big with 2 seperate rooms.Breakfast was of a very good standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful.A laptop computer with internet acess was also available for use in the reception.Highly recommended
