We stayed 4 to a room which fit very comfortably. The staff was kind and provided information about the area in detail. Very accommodating. The location was perfect to tour the area and they had bicycles for guest use which was really nice as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Overall I loved this hotel as being central to the city, easy to find, close to the railway etc. It was a haven of coolness in one of the hottest weekends I've ever spent in Verona, the breakfasts were excellent quality and the shower was wonderful. I loved the floor to ceiling windows that opened as doors onto a little balcony. The only problem was that the traffic was very noisy but it's the price you pay for a very central hotel. I went for the opera at the arena and again it was just a short stroll to and from the hotel.

The Service was as good since my last visit. The front side is with an open Window noisy in the morning, but closed quiet enough. A parking garage is close by (full if Arena events are). Free WLan offered. The location of the hotel is very good to explore the old city of Verona. No car is needed, the most interesting places are reachable with a short walk. And Via Mazzini is, of course, interesting for shopping. The next time i will stay there.

An easy walk from the train station and just a block and a half from Piazza Bra in the old town. Hotel Verona is a great choice for early trains or flights and for seeing the city. The wireless internet access is a plus - ask for an id & password at the front desk. The staff is efficient and friendly. I use this hotel when flying from Verona early and have not had the breakfast, but have been offered a coffee & brioche before leaving in the morning even though it was before the breakfast hours.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Porta Nuova train station and a block and a half from Piazza Bra in the old town. The room was larger than most that I have stayed in. The property is modern and comfortable. Wireless internet is available throughout the property - just ask for a user name and password at the desk. Even though I had a very early flight out and left the hotel at 4:30, I was offered a coffee and light breakfast - normal hours for breakfast start at 7 am.

This was our first visit to Verona; we stayed only one night, and not during Opera season. I found the hotel excellent and the price very reasonable. The hotel is a short and easy walk from the train station (we arrived by train), only a few blocks from the Arena, and not much further to many of the other main sights. It is on a major street, and so traffic noise begins early in the morning. There are some coffee shops in the block and although the immediate surroundings are not as "quaint" as some areas, it feels comfortable and safe and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful with directions and with permitting us to store our luggage before we had access to our room (as well as after we left). The buffet breakfast was varied and good. Overall, I was very pleased and would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Verona. The room was very spacious and clean with an updated and modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start of the day. The staff were top notch. They were very helpful and very patient even with my "difficulties" parking in the underground parking structure. Combine all of this with the unbeatable location, the hotel is only a five minute walk from the Arena, and you have a hotel that really played a large part in our wonderful stay in Verona.

This hotel was recommended by a friend who stayed outside of opera season. They got a good room and a good price (€150). We booked a few weeks in advance for one night during opera season (€215). The location was very good, being just outside the old town. The room we got was very small and quite dingy (but clean). I looked into another room which was larger and more modern. All the public areas are filled with piped jazz muzak, which seeped into our room to some degree. There was also quite a lot of noise from the floor above. Breakfast was a good buffet style breakfast. All in all, a good location and breakfast, but the room was disappointing for that price. I suspect outside of opera season we would have got a better room for less money in this hotel.

Good hotel when on business, good location and easy access to the major Autostrada. Would not recommend for families. Parking is expensive, try to find street parking and feed the meter. Nice, clean rooms, but very small. Should be cheaper though for the quality provided. Not in the historic centre, commercial location.

Booked this hotel from venere.com where there were good reviews. We reserved for 2 nights but checked out after the first and moved to the Dei' Capuletti. The pros: Great location (a block from Piazza Bra') and clean and modern. The staff were helpful and polite. The cons: When we were there, the hotel was little more than an expensive youth hostel. The average age of the guests was about 25 I'd say, and they seem to have traveled in groups of 6-10. At 1:15 am a group of them decided that it would be fun to have a party, but since the rooms are so tiny, of course they had to have it in the room and the hallway with the door open. Lots of MTV Italia (as loud as the TV would go) and shouting in Italian (giggly girls, boys wrestling in the halls--the whole 9 yards). They were so oddly unconcerned about anyone else in the hotel that it was almost funny. But the weird thing is that when I tried to call the front desk to have them shut the party down, there were absolutely no instructions on how to connect with hotel facilities. No numbers, no cards, nothing. I dialed "0", "00" "000" to no avail. Nothing worked. I eventually had to find a hotel business card and call downstairs using my cell phone!. To their credit, the partiers shut it down around 2:30am after the night concierge had a word. Summary: This hotel is either a very expensive youth hostel or a loud bargain hotel. Either way, you could do better in Verona (and we did at the Dei' Capuletti)

I was very, very impressed with Hotel Verona. The description of the hotel was I think under rated. Very impressed that the maid came in every day with clean towels & to make the bed. I got the exact room I asked for with the most amazing view over the city, spectacular!! Everyone, especialy reception, were very welcoming & very helpful. I would, without a doubt, stay here again & would certainly advise anyone else to stay here.

This is one of the best values I have ever had in a hotel. The hotel is a block and a half from Piazza Bra and the Arena. It's about a 15 minute walk to/from the train station. The staff was excellent, the room was modern and spacious, and they had free wireless internet. I had to leave early for the airport, but they offered me coffee over an hour before the breakfast was scheduled to be opened. I would definitely stay again. This would be a terrific location for the opera at te Arena in the summer.

The staff were fantastic- gave us a map, directions, restaurant recommendations etc etc before they even handed over the key. Very friendly. Breakfast was excellent- quite a good choice and everything freshly made- they refreshed the pastries several times while we were sitting. Free use of internet too. Great location- in between the train station and the old city walls so only a short walk to either. The rooms are not huge but the modern design helps. Takes a bit of figuring out to work all the switches for the lights and the blinds. We stayed on the 5th floor and our room seemed like it was not quite finished- just a few empty holes around waiting for more wiring etc. I think the staff, the breakfast and the location make up for any shortfalls in room size, noise etc. A very good stay.

Location perfect - everywhere was walkable; Arena just a stroll away. Staff great; recommended non-tourist restaurants were excellent (but remember, if you ask for a non-tourist restaurant don't expect the menu to be in English!). My room was adequate for one, but the bathroom was compact; my friend's room was much larger. Breakfast was good, except that some of the fruit (peaches) was tinned, and there was no bar in the hotel so no prosecco for breakfast, but the minibar was well-stocked and reasonably priced. Only two negative points: the glass walls, doors etc and also the staircase would be very unfriendly to the visually impaired; the sound insulation between the corridor and the room was non-existent - matters when many guests return from the opera well after midnight - but no noise between rooms.

Hotel Verona was a great find. We did have one of the larger rooms. Some of them are quite small. We would not have cared because everything else would have made up for a smaller room. Good breakfast. Two short blocks to Piazza Bra and the Arena area. Romeo & Juliette opera was playing at the arena but sold out. (I wish we had known in advance). We caught a bicycle race finish in the piazza on Sunday morning, very exciting! I would love to visit Verona again and would stay here again in a minute.

The hotel is ideally located at a 2 minute walk from the main square (Piazza Bra). The hotel itself is a great one with modern décor, excellent staff who are very helpful (and speak good English), and has a decent breakfast. Free Internet access via Wifi or thru the computer next to the reception made the stay even more pleasant. The reception people will guide you to where to go, where to eat, what to see. This is a delightful small hotel which has recently been extended. It is close to the Arena, numerous restaurants and all of the sights of this great city. The welcome is impeccable and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and is served by an extremely efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Of the restaurants we frequented, two deserve a special mention. One, Cantore, just some hundred metres from Paizza Bra, and the other (name forgotten) in a small alley just off Piazza Bra. Both have very good food in an informal atmosphere. Also worth investigating are the cafes around Piazza Erbe -very friendly.

Excellent hotel very close to the main piazza in Verona, in a large and pleasant avenue not far from the railway station (15 minutes walk). Very modern public areas and nice people at the reception. One of the best breakfast I had in any Italian hotel (plenty of ham, mortadella, juices, croissants, fresh fruit, cereals, etc. as much as you will). The bedroom not too large but you're not supposed to spend your time there in such a nice city as Verona. Only flaw, the price of course. But it was the opera season in the arenas, so no surprise. As a whole, an excellent choice.

We chose this hotel because of location and it was excellent; although "800 meters from rail station" seemed an under-estimate. A bit longer walk than that! But not unpleasant, even with wheeled luggage. Hotel was immaculately clean and chic. A little too modern for our taste but that's not really a negative(travel guide said hotel put too much effort into modernizing the public areas but not enough in the rooms = Wrong! The room was up-to-date and very comfortable) Staff was charming, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic; quality, quantity and selection. Room was very spacious with a great bathroom; loved the shower! Satellite TV was a great surprise. We booked several hotels with Venere for our vacation and this was the second one where travel guidebooks made remarks that were not accurate. We suggest that Venere point out these positives to override inaccurate info in guide books. example: for this hotel, it was mentioned that street-facing rooms are extremely noisy. Not True! We hardly heard any noise from the busy street. There was no need to open windows as the A/C was very efficient; so anyone who gets a street-side room need not worry about noise. We feel the remarks posted by Venere customers are far more dependable and accurate than many guidebooks. Online photos do not do hotel justice! We are very pleased with all the bookings we've made on this site over the past couple of years!

Our third stay at this excellent small hotel was just as fine as before. The location is just about perfect - good car-parking, local banks and cafes and just a few minutes walk to L'Arena, yet in a relatively quiet area of this fabulous city. For the first time, we had a meal in one of the restaurants on Piazza Bra and were disappointed - there are many fine restaurants a short walk away. The hotel staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Each time, we have stayed in an excellent junior suite on the 6 floor, so we cannot comment on the other rooms. One minor point - the provision of tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be welcome (as it would in most other hotels in Italy). The continental breakfast is very good and is served in a pleasent basement room in a most efficient manner. Overall, a great hotel and one which we plan to return to soon.

My husband and I visited Verona in late September. The hotel was very modern in design and we felt very much at home. Recommendations by the desk clerks were very helpful in terms of where to eat, what to see and do. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, juices, cereal, cheese and meat available as well as coffee of our choice. We appreciated the availability of internet service. Hotel was conveniently located to walk to everything - the Arena, Juliet's house, art gallery with a fabulous Mantegna exhibit. Next visit we would spend longer and enjoy more of the sights than two days allowed us.

We stayed in #527, which was a great room - new, clean and comfortable. Flat screen TV, balcony, minibar...really nice for the price. The only downside is that the hotel is above near the bus stop, so if you leave the doors wide open you can hear the hustle and bustle on the street, but its not bad. Just be sure to close you windows on Wednesday nights, becuase they clean the streets and its really loud. Overall, a really great experience. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone the same.

Our room was great and the welcoming fruit was a nice touch. The breakfast is varied and very good. Will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

Very nice hotel situated close to central Verona - all interesting locations are within walking distance. Also walking distance to the train station.

Excellent location for our trip to Verona: between Main Station an the Arena, both could be reached by foot. The room was nicely and tastefully decorated, well furnished, bathroom excellent (spacious shower, even a bidet), huge fruitbasket as welcome, very friendly and competent staff, always helpfull, got very good recommendation for restaurants where the locals go (e. g. Duce), good, strong coffee in the morning (important) and an adequate buffet. We can fully recommend the Verona and we will definitely stay there again!

Excellent location within easy walking distance of major attractions. Front room, upper floor, with balcony a must. Noise not much of a problem as out enjoying the city and not back till late.

We were going to Lake Garda for our honeymoon, but decided to stay a few nights in Verona first, to see the Opera. We were given a warm welcome and a lovely room on the 4th floor, with a balcony and a view of the city gates. The rooms are spacious, clean and have a nice and modern decor, without seeming cold. The Arena is only a 5 minute stroll away, and the location is perfect. The breakfast is good and the staff is very sweet and friendly. We liked it so much that we cancelled our last night in Riva del Garda and came back to Hotel Verona and Verona.

I read a lot of reviews before chosing Hotel Verona for my stay and was not disappointed. Although my room was very small, it was well decorated. The breakfast was great - a pity that on my second and last day I had to leave early and missed it. The staff was helpful and spoke many languages - I heard not only English, but also German and French. I asked twice for a restaurant recommendation (all the places at Piazza Bra seem like tourist traps) and all their advices were good surprises. I surely would stay there again - although I found the price, unlike other travellers that wrote reviews, a little high (73 euros per night for a single room). But it was definetly worth it.

We have been accomodated on the last floor in a spacious room, the rate quoted (€ 100,-) was really fair for the center of Verona. The lady at the reception was absolutely competent and the friendliness in person. I just can recommend this place for everybody, who wants a relaxed stay in Verona close to the center.

this is a delightful hotel with very friendly staff, and an easy walk to the historic centre. One of the best hotels I have stayed at in Italy!

Excellent situation and easy access to the Arena. Helpful staff and good selection at breakfast. Double glazing could not deaden the noise when Italy triumphed during the World Cup however!

supposing that all hotels at verona are very high price during festival season we fully agree to comments of other clients. far better than 3 stars. perfectly clean and quiet( room to the back yard). could have been a little larger. I did not find superior rooms offered by venere! In all very recommendable place.

Very nice comfortable hotel.Five min wake to arena and start of shopping area and only 10min walk from train station. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, a great balance between professionalism & friendliness. We had a slight problem which was resolved very quickly. The staff were very genuine in their help. The rooms are clean, comfortable and has a reasonably prices mini bar. As for the breakfast, what can i say...excellent choice of fruit, meats, cheese, breads, teas, cerials and a great cup of coffee. Really sets you up for the day. Will be back to verona for shown in arena and the hotel verona is our first choice.

Good value for money in a beautiful city The Hotel Verona is a bright and modern hotel just outside the gates of Verona city, a mere 4 or 5 minute stroll to the area around the Arena. The beds are comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms are clean though compact. You should sleep well though, with electric shutters blocking out all extraneous light! Reception staff were helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast room staff are similarly competent. The buffet breakfast provided was good, with a reasonable variety to choose from. Location wise, the hotel is approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the central train station along the Corsa Porta Nuovo, perfectly feasible if you are fit and your luggage is minimal. In the other direction, the beautiful city of Verona is moments away. As a destination, Verona has much to recommend it. It is a very charming and atmospheric city in which to spend some time.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a penthouse suite. A convenient location near the arena and downtown sites. Bus from the train station stops in front. A well-run hotel.

after havin some problems locating the hotel at first (it is where it's supposed to be, but a big green tree was hiding the sign) we have found a wonderful little hotel literally two minutes from the Arena and also with easy access to the Autostrada. The staff was very nice and helpful and spoke German. Breakfast was included and excellent by Italian standards. The building is a great architectual contrast to very romantic Verona. It has a clean & modern architectually interesting look. The room was abit small for three, but had a balcony and would be great for one or two people. I would stay there again, when in Verona!

a good easy 20 minute walk from the station and nicly situated to town. the service from the girl on the desk... I think her name was Lisbeth, was excellent. the bathroom had a big spa, no shower curtain though for those of us who shower... a nice little balcony with chairs over the main corso. breakfast had the biggest range of all the hotels in our stay in Italy...

Once we figured out the direction to head from the train station (head to the right), we found this to be an easy walk and a great place to be in relation to the historic part of town. Verona was a pleasant surprise! We loved the town especially at night. The buffet breakfast was great, the train info at the desk was very helpful and we would stay here again.

A great hotel. The place is perfect to visit Verona because is 2 min. by feet to the Arena. The staff has been very kind in every moment, and also pleasantfully talkative. For a three stars, rooms are of a very good quality, always cleaned and with modern equipment. The breakfast is not at the same level of the one of Capuleti's Hotel, but anyway complete and delicious. Definitely a great place to stay that confirm Verona's hotel very good quality.

Modern and a bit impersonal hotel in charming city. We stayed in a junior suite, which was roomy and nice. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Would consider to return to this hotel our next time in Verona, because of location and price.

The room was perfect. The hotel was not full so they gave us a room on the top floor with a beautiful view. The lady at reception was very helpful and very nice and smiling. Good breakfast. Location is very convenient. You just have to ask where is the arena, to find your way back to the hotel. Don't miss the Olive restaurant on the piazza. Modern and design Italy and soooooo good. CL
