We stayed two nights at Hotel Torcolo. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. This is a small hotel in convenient walking distance to the sights of Verona at a reasonable price.

Excellent value for money. All those on reception were great characters and put themselves out to help find train times and advise us how best to use our limited time. We chatted to some interesting people at a very nice friendly breakfast, a writer a Japanese lady a professor. A walk round the four major Romanesque churches was our overall Verona favourite day. The market is fun, We also happened on a massive market in Mantova. Street noise in the early morning is dealt with adequately by double glazing but don't expect to sleep with the windows open. Our room though had a high ceiling and was spacious and the beds comfortable.

this was a one night stay and very convenient for walking to all the sights. However, the area, outside dining tables and car drive up ,were extremely tight. We parked in the hotels' garage and when the car was brought to us the next morning, it had a big dent in the bumper. The Italian lady who signed us in was lovely and hard-working. She was very knowledgable about places to see and eat and we appreciated her help. A good staff member. The room, although large enough, needed an updo, paint, draperies etc.

We had a fantastic welcome on arrival, and throughout our stay the hotel staff, from the proprietors, right through the receptionists to the maids and the night porter were extremely attentive and helpful. We were told without asking about a free concert in one of the churches and given directions to it, and when we left the receptionist even came out to the taxi to wish us a personal and very friendly farewell. Beyond that, the location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing and above all the opera during the festival season, and the price was very reasonable indeed. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel. The only negative is that the windows in our top-floor room, which overlooked the busy street corner below, could not shut out the noise, such as the early morning bottle refuse pickup.

Clean welcoming hotel, perfect location for anyone visiting Verona as it's close to the main attractions that are conveniently within walking distance from the Torcolo Hotel, affording the perfect opportunity to explore the robust history of the area.

Extremely helpful staff and great location. Room was fine except that bottles were collected very early each morning, waking us every time -- rooms that don't overlook the street might not have this problem. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice Hotel. Very well situated. Pleasant and comfortable rooms Friendly and helpful (English speaking)reception staff. Staying here was definitely an overall enjoyable experience. My only criticism; The only coffee offered/served with breakfast was "instant". Real coffee would have been more enjoyable.

The location is perfect. The staff was very welcoming and freindly. During our visit, we interacted with about 5 different people on the hotel staff and found them all to be wonderful. This hotel met our every need. We will stay there again on our next visit to Verona

Very good hotel managed by the same family for a while. Very warm welcome and always ready to help you the best possible way. 1 minute walk from the Arena. Ideal when you plan to go an opera, or not by the way. Breakfast on the terrace in front of the hotel when weather is nice.

The Torcolo is everything you would expect from a stylish Italian city hotel. The accommodation is excellent, the service is outstanding and it is all delivered with fantastic Italian panache and character. I would certainly stay there again if I am ever lucky enough to be in Verona and would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel.

Really well positioned as it is right in the centre but in a quiet street. Very distinctive as a result of the ladies running the hotel, who were charming and very helpful, and the room featured everything we needed, a powerful shower, reasonable size, clean and comfortable space.

The shower was the best yet. Totally perfect location, literally a few yards away from the Arena. Staff are really helpful, and the only downside was that we were woken up at 7:30 by people dropping glass bottles in the skip. This happens every morning. Otherwie its great.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Torcolo and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The location makes a walking tour of any part of Verona easily accessible, the rooms are good sized, etc, but what really makes the place is the staff. Everyone we met there had a smile on their face and were eager to help out and ask questions or offer suggestions.

The room was a little on the small side but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location wise, this hotel cannot be faulted. A very short walk down the side street on which it is located will bring you straight in front of the Arena.
