Nice room and very comfortable. Bad breakfast - all the baked goods were packaged and the coffee was awful for a 4 star hotel! But the big shock came upon check out as I looked over the bill and saw that I was charge 30% more than what I booked in Venere! I'm glad I caught the error - later they just said oh you received someone elses bill. You would think with 3 people at the reception and no guests that a correct bill would have been possible...

Warm welcome. Luggage is taken to room for you. Good location: only few minutes walk to old town and near supermarket. Big reception area with newspapers and free internet access.

The Google maps were not precise. Kinda thought that the hotel would compensate us for our inconvenience and taxi ride that we had to foot as a consequence.

Centrally located with easy access through pedastrian reserved streets to good shopping and excellent restaurents. Spacious rooms, friendly staff. Did appreciate the expresso offered by the night receptionist at 5am in the morning before my departure to the airport

Great location (20 minutes walking from the station, 1 minute from the Arena!) and friendly staff! The room had a balcony. A previous guest must have left 10-15 empty bottles there. It would be nice if even the balcony was cleaned. I would definitely go back in this hotel

Our stay was very short, so we do not have a lot to comment on. We checked in late and checked out early, but everything was nice. The room was spacious enough, the bathroom very nice. The breakfast was very satisfying. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is right but the sorroundings are ugly, the street where is locted has ugly shops and in the nights is is noisy. The personal in the hotel is very helpful and capable.

This was our second stay at San Luca; its central location is very convenient for the Arena and a wide choice of near by restaurants.

For me, a "double room" is not two twin beds of different heights pushed together. Our room looked at the Scottish Pub in the alley, which was relatively calm, fortunately. Very helpful and kind staff. Good proximity to Piazza Bra and Arena - without being in the middle of it all. Excellent espresso.

We have already booked for 2009, this must reflect our satisfaction with San Luca. Recommend it to others, we shall use this hotel on our subsequent visits to Verona. The room was spacious and very nice. Just a few minutes from Piazza Bra where we liked to round off our evenings.

Excellent location in the centre of the town; a very short walk to a wide selection of restaurant on Piazza Bra and Arena. Close to chic shopping establishments. Good choice as a pied-à-terre for opera season and Arena concerts.

Elevator is old type and you have to wait for 5minutes. I think it' big problem and it's neccessary to replace with new one. Other things are good.

Hotel classy and well-maintained. Quite expensive but the location is excellent as it is right in the centre of Verona - because of this it is a little enclosed by the surrounding buildings and I should imagine most if not all of the rooms, like ours, did not have much of a view of the city. But to be within a few minutes' walk of the Piazza Bra is worth a lot. We were not disturbed at all by hotel noise, but we were aware that we were in a city - there were occasional church bells, and on one day a lot of Vivaldi from a rehearsal and subsequent performance at a nearby church! Disappointing the hotel does not have have a restaurant for dinner, though obviously there are dozens of good restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

The hotel is located very close to the Arena which is very handy indeed but access to it is from a back alley where a few dodgy characters (drunk or intoxicated people and so on)wander around also outside the nearby supermarket, spoiling the location a bit.On the morning I left some staff outside in the corridor were talking very loud of their own business in a quite colourful way and in the breakfast room the two women working were arguing at lenght about timetables and things to do loud enough for everyone to hear. Breakfast left much to be desired as far as choice of food goes compared to other hotels of the same category and price range in the same area I have been to.I only needed to stay for one night to attend an event at the Arena so the hotel served the purpose perfectly but some of the things I mentioned detracted from its value for money.

A very good hotel, really only a few steps from the arena. Friendly staff. The hotel interior shows taste and style. Everything is very clean and in a good shape. (Only the room for breakfast does not fit into this picture.) It is fun to stay in this hotel and worth the money. I'm sure, we will come back.

Very nice hotel. Large clean attractive bedroom and large bathroom. Bright and sunny. Staff very helpful. Well run. Location fine - not right in the shopping area but close to the Arena - this may be an advantage making the hotel very quiet. Presence of some unemployed? persons loitering near the entrance detracted from the location - but this did not detract for us. This is a very, very nice hotel.

Four star hotel just five minutes walk from the arena and the very heart of Verona. Our stay was pleasant, the room wasn't too big but well furnished, clean and classy as well. We didn't have much time to join the hotel's public areas but they looked very comfortable. We definitely recommend Hotel San Luca. Only one thing: hotel's parking too much expensive.

The air conditioning was poor in our room. There was one corner where there was a little coolness but we couldn't get our room comfortably cool, it was always around 75+ degrees farenheit. Outside, the weather was 38C. We were told by the maintenance staff that it was in perfect working order. We loved the place otherwise because of the proximity to attractions and the friendliness of the staff, but would not stay there during hot weather .

As you can see from my ratings above we were very satisfied with our stay at San Luca. It was an oasis of comfort and serenity at the end of a long hot day of sight-seeing. We also found the location ideal for opera-going. I recommend it to everyone intending to visit Verona.

Hotel San Luca was better than expected! Only three blocks from the action in Piazza Bra and the Arena, it's tucked away down a little alley like a treasure. Automatic doors open to an elegant interior and attentive personal service by the staff. The rooms are quiet and serene with foot towels on the floor, and the bathrooms are excellent. We enjoyed the diversity of the breakfast buffet and how the staff arranged tours and taxis for us. It was our first hotel in Italy and when we left the country one month (and several hotels) later, we still had a fond place in our hearts for Verona in part because of the lovely and welcoming Hotel San Luca.

An excellently situated hotel, just off Piazza Bra and the Arena. The english-speaking staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard with really efficient air-conditioning. A good buffet for continental breakfast and a well-stocked bar for the evening. Overall, a highly recommended hotel (I hope this praise does not mean that there will be no room for me next year!).

My wife and I had a most wonderful brief holiday in Verona. The staff at San Luca Hotal were excellent, both courteous and helpful. We were both surprised how beautiful the city of Verona is, and the staff at the San Luca Hotel helped us to plan what become a most enjoyable and exciting day. Our brief stay in Verona, with ther operas we attended, was a highlight of our overseas holiday. Full marks to everybody involved. Sincerely, Bella and Kevin Collins, Australia
