We arrived at lunchtime and checked in and were given an upgraded room which had been refurbished and was quite comfortable if a little on the small side.Staff were very helpful with advice on restaurants and interesting sights. The breakfast was good with a good choice of food. The hotel is centrally located to the main tourist area. Overall we found it very good and would use it again.

Very smart modern hotel. Excellant breakfast. Is actually a stones throw from the Arena.

Beds were great! Breakfast nice. We were two couples driving a rental car. Hotel was difficult to get to because the square where the directions tell you to turn, was blocked for cars, and the one way small roads made it confusing to find. Otherwise, it is a convenient walking location for seeing old Verona.

The hotel was not cheap but reasonable in view of its quality and ideal location a few metres from the Arena, perfect for exploring Verona. We were were travelling in a rented minivan and were charged 40 euro for one night's parking in the hotel garage which we thought was excessive

The hotel is still being re-furbished and we were in one of the older rooms which was very dated and the aircon was rather smelly-this was the only downside, all other areas of the hotel-reception/breakfast room were very nicely finished-modern and clean, staff were very friendly, excellent selection for breakfast and nice bar for evening drinks. The location is fantastic. Would definitly come back again-hopefully when it has been fully re-furbished.

I was here in April 2010 for 4 nights. Verona is a lovely city. The hotel was clean and well managed. The front desk spoke very good english and was very friendly and helpful. Room was large with very good bathroom and shower. Breakfast was very good with eggs, ham, bacon, toast, cheese, brioche, fruit juice, fruit, cappucino. Many good restaurants within 20 minute walk. Room was quiet, but was very close to the arena and may be noisy in summer. 10 euro cab ride from the train station. I would not recommend walking to the hotel with suitcases (probably takes about 25 minutes). Free unlimited wifi if you have a laptop.

Great location, they are renovating so the pictures on the site show the newest room. We were disappointed to have an older room. Still, it was clean.

We were traveling as a large family group and booked 3 rooms at the Milano. The location was fantastic as a starting point for all our sightseeing. Being in the city center made the streets a little noisier at night, but it was well worth it to be so close to everything. The rooms were very comfortable and the triple rooms we booked had plenty of space for all our suitcases and people. The breakfast was really outstanding, far exceeding our expectations. We ate at the restaurant next door (too tired to walk another step) and it was fantastic! Verona was a wonderful and very affordable destination (don't forget to pick up a Verona Card - all the important sights for 10 Euro). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the Hotel Milano served us very well. It is a bit of a hike from the train station (about 15-20 minutes walk, which can be challenging with luggage). The buses are frequent and easy to use if you don't want to spring for a taxicab -just hop off at Piazza Bra.

The Hotel is just a few walks from roman arena, at the beginnining of the historical center and the commercial area. In Piazza Bra, at 50 meters, there are many restaurants and cafè and via Mazzini, from Piazza Bra to Piazza delle erbe (the heart of Verona) is a brand fashion district. The Hotel Milano is very convenient both for opera season and art tour. Just a little bit expensive. Breakfast very good. The 1st floor of the hotel, recently restored with ecological standards, i thing is the best, but my room was at the 2nd... Verona is a very beautiful city and Garda lake is very close; Hotel Milano is a good solution for a cultural and romantic holiday.

The first night we were in a room that was so small it barely qualified as a single room. The next day I requested to move to a room with a bath and was surprised at the difference in rooms offered for the same price. If I had been originally checked into the larger room, this would have been a much better experience. If I hadn't changed rooms, it would have been miserable. Request a room with a bath.

This is the third time we come to Verona, and I hope it won´t be the last one. My friend and I stayed in a doble room. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and we were allowed to stay in our room until 5 p.m. in the afternoon the day of our departure, as our flight was at 7 p.m. That was something we appreciated very much. Next time we will certainly try to get a room in hotel Milano, when we come to see another opera. And the minibar was free, which we didn´t realize until the last day, but now we know!! Best regards, Niss Eva Dybeck and Brita Bostrand

Very expensive. We believed that we had booked two double room (2 persons per room) but we got two single rooms. A extra room for 2 persons was available and we booked also it. That's why the accommodation was very expensive!!! We are very disappointed with this hotel.

The location is excellent for visitors of the Opera at the arena. We got a very quiet double-room, small, ca. 7.0 x 2.6m but shower and WC very ok. Nice breakfast-buffet. Inhouse-parking very comfortable but expensive Euro 20/ day. Hotel Milano is a good place for 2 -3 nights.

My 13 yo grandaughter and I were very comfortable and the location was ideal for walking to local sites. The staff were particularly helpful in giving information, maps and securing taxis. The bathroom was a little small, but my grandaughter just loved the chromotherapy shower. Thanks to all who helped us have a great stay in Verona!

Camera con allestimento molto moderno (TV LCD, Frigo, Cassaforte) ma piccolissimo lo spazio disponibile. Accoglienza e servizio colazione buone. Ottima posizione a pochi passi dall'arena.

Verona was such a pleasant surprise. The only downfall with this place was the lack of free WiFi and a public computer! The location is fantastic (one block from the arena) and within walking distance to hundreds of cafe's! We will definitely stay here on our return trip to Verona!

Location requires a cab ride from the train station, but is an excellent base for exploring the old parts of the city. The "Arena" (colliseum) is within 50 meters of the hotel.

This was a great choice - so close to everything without costing a frtune. I had a single room which was small but all I needed - very clean and great shower. Leaning out my window I could see the arena. Reataurants and shps and sights all at the doorstep. I hope the new owners won't put the prices up when all the updating has been finished. Great breakfast too.

Even by the spurious rating standards and general shabbiness of Italian hotels, this is overrated. Linoleum floors in the room are more typical of a 1 star motel in the boondocks. Good location near arena, and a reasonable breakfast buffet are this dump has to recommend it.

It's a 3 star hotel with a 5 star welcome. Staff are very polite and efficient. Room was v spacious, quiet and a good bathroom (no. 405). Breakfast could be more varied, but I only wanted a croissant and coffee. It's a very good price for a hotel so centrally located!

It was really 30 meters from the Arena, where we had to go, as it was advertised. Good the possibility to have breakfast in the room without an extra-charge.

The hotel is perfectly situated if you intend to attend a performance in the Arena, one minute walk from main entrance.I suppose that is the reason for the high price of the room. Our room /1st floor, window onto the street/ was quite noisy, though we liked to be part of "Italian" way of living. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The Hotel is in a fantastic position, only a few meters away from Arena, in the very heart of the city. It is clean and well furnished, and the breakfast buffet is good an has a good choice. On the other hand, the rooms are really small and so is the shower: for this price (we paid 190 euros/night) you would expect really better!!!

Reasonably priced for the opera season. Almost a stones throw from the Arena( I can only throw 25 metres and the Arena was 30). Excellant breakfast, probably the best we have had in Italy and we go to this type of hotel quite a lot.Free mini-bar not well stocked but what do you expect. Don't order a G&T at the bar because my wife got Gin and water but as that was our only moan not bad from a Hotel that was getting bad reviews recently.

The hotel is in marvellous position (just few steps away from the Arena and the main street via Mazzini). As I arrived they gave ma a letter telling me the hotel has just changed property, and they are doing their best to renew everything while offering a good service to the clients. They also asked opinions and took counsels from the clients about how to improve the offer. The hotel is not wonderful, but I really apreciated this letter, and I slept there twice. I would return there.

We stayed only one night at Verona in hotel Milano during our journey to France. It was first times in my life to be Verona but the impression of city was so excellent that we want to go back again at least for a week. The people in the hotel were so lovely as the city was. Meals were fresh and very delicious. I love Italian meals.
