The hotel was a short walk from the train station and a bit longer walk to the city center. In that regard the location was very good. The hotel was clean, comforatable and reasonably attractive. There is no restaurant reasonably close but a shuttle service is provided to a resteraunt that obviously has some affiliation with the hotel. We did not use the shuttle service nor eat at the resteraunt and can not comment on the quality of the food at that establishment. The hotel does have a bar but the staff is not very capable of mixing a drink with the exception of providing a glass of wine. The better alternative is to purchase wine at a local marcato, bring it back to the hotel and enjoy as you desire.

Hotel was very convenient to train/bus station but difficult to locate if following directions on hotel's Venere site,a brisk 20 minute walk to Verona centre.Room spotlessly clean and housekeeping staff very attentive to guests'needs. Perfectly adequate breakfast attended to by pleasant/helpful staff staff

We arrived early and asked if we could leave our cases until it was time to check in, the helpful man on the desk allowed us to check in to our rooms straight away. When we arrived back later that evening a different man was behind the desk, he was also smiley and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. All the staff we had contact with seemed happy and friendly. The hotel is close to the station and a pleasant distance to walk into the center of Verona. We all enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel near the train station. About a five minute walk unless you get lost, like I did. The street sign is a little hard to find. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was large. The hotel is a nice walk to town and easy to get to the sights. I would stay here again. Verona is a wonderful town.

We could not check-in having arrived at 1:20 pm. We were told that it should be 2pm sharp and suggested to wait. Staff in general does not pay attention to you until you shout or probably start to break the counter. Going to breakfast is senseless between 8:30 and 9:30 - all tables are taken, no food available - you should be either first, or arrive when most of people already left. the only good thing about this place is its location - close to the railway station and 15 min walk from downtown. This was most expensive stay in Italy with the worst service (we had 10 times better service in a small family run hotel in Florence, for instance, for 20% less price).

Compared to Rome and Florence, the prices were a real surprise for the services we got. Because of reconstructions near the station, it was not easy to find but we got there. The receptionist was not rather friendly, but we think he had a good night sleep, as he was different the next day... As we stayed there only one night because of the Opera, we came home late at night and the airconditioning was raelly COLD! And we couldn't find a blanket... But we were very delighted with the excellent breakfastbuffet!!

Lovely hotel, excellent value for money, staff were all very pleasant and more than happy to help with anything, and there was free coffee all night if required. It was about a twenty minute walk into the centre of Verona but there is a bus you can take just at the end of the street.

There was something happened with my reservation and we arrived 3 days after our reservation, the first young lady hostess appeared very friendly and told us it was OK and we could stay that night for free. Alright, we thought we have met one very nice hotel...Next morning, interesting happened, the other hostess told us that here collegue told her that we had to pay that night. We were so astonished and we argued that her collegue lied to us. Finally it end up very unpleasantly even if we did not pay a penny for that night. It should be better that the people in this hotel could keep their word.

The room is ok and breakfast is good. Aircondition worked ok. Room was clean. Around 10 minutes walk from the train station and 20 minutes to Arena and downtown. The area around is just traffic and apartment buildings, I did not see any supermarkets or other shops. The staff in the reception was not very helpful. The hotel is ok for bed and breakfast, but nothing more and nothing special.

A basic hotel which was 25 minutes walk from the main centre. We travelled with young children so ended up taking taxis which was expensive (10€ each way) and in retrospect it would have been more economical to stay in a more central hotel and pay more money. However, for single/adult travellers who need somewhere close to the station for onward travel, then it is a nice clean hotel which offers everything according to the web page.

Hotel was a good 3 star hotel and great for the price. NOt sure I would pay more than what I did. Breakfast was ok, and staff not that friendly, but could have been a language barrier. Easy to find and walking distance from train station, but a bit further to Arena. Doable if it's a nice day.

The room was small but both it and the bathroom was clean. It was about a 15 minute walk to the city center, which was kind of tiring. They don't have an iron, so you'll need to bring your own. Breakfast was decent. The staff spoke English, so it was easy to communicate.

Excellent value. The only drawbacks were that there wasn't a restaurant really nearby, and the internet service was too expensive. They had an arrangement with a restaurant not too far away, with a shuttle to get there. Not bad, but prices sorta high, and not exquisite food. Walking to town was fine; but to walk out again at night for dinner was a little too far for us... tho not impossible. We met people from all over: Sweden, Australia, Canada, Russia...

Another overpriced place in an overpriced city-but real bargains might be rare to find in a major tourist destination like Verona... Typical business traveller setting and layout-along a historic but stinky canal (smell of history?) and a main cross-city-road, close to main railway station (Porta Nuova) and town centre. All major tourist places reachable in walking distance! It's definitely not a place for "romantic" dreamers of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet-for sure there are better (and more fancy) places in Verona. However, Martini is very convenient for having a 1-2 day stopover or event visit in Verona, particularly for non-motorists.

For what I paid for it (65 euros for a double) very good price/quality relationship. Amazingly spacious bathroom (at least for my room). Decent, even if unspectacular, breakfast. I only stayed there for one night; if I had been staying longer I would have liked it to have larger (and cleaner - I know double windows are difficult to wash, but still...) windows. Close to the station even if a bit difficult to find. Overall very satisfied, might stay there again.

My second stay here. Quite convenient when travelling by rail, for station is about 400m away. Centre ( arena) 15min walk. Room layout is typical modern 3*, rooms seem quiet with no traffic noise, though air con seems to be centrally controlled(not on demand)and not available late April, although it was operating during a previous visit in June. Breakfast is an adequate, if unspectacular, buffet type with proper served coffee, but low quality self serve fruit juice. Staff friendly and competent. Overall....convenient for rail traveller, though not particularly good value , as an Italian city hotel.

The location leaves a little to be desired. close to train station which was good but arriving at night we were not comfortable with the area. the restaurant associated with the hotel (free shuttle to/from Lido de Verona) was the worst meal we had in Italy. Over 5 nights travelling in northern italy, we had the good luck to book one night at the martini hotel. Now, although we had considerable difficulty in locating the hotel by car, due to unusual road junctions, the location of the hotel later allowed allowed a pleasant walk to the arena (about 25mins). The hotel has a pleasant easy chair area with its own bar and self service drinks area. Very good value here. Underground car park for 8 Euro. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel particularly if a trip to the opera is involved. Will definitely stay again.

A very nice hotel, close to the train station. This was especially of value to my wife and I as we were travelling by train. Staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfasts were good. Location from the arena was about 1k. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service to the arena on opera nights and to their restaurant, however we did not use this facility as we preferred to walk into the centre and choose a place to eat. Only problem was that the TV remote didn't work. The staff changed the batteries but this had no effect. Not a problem as there is so much to see in Verona. We enjoyed the walk from the hotel to the centre and back even during the most amazing thunderstorm! I would definitely use this hotel again.

Clean modern rooms and bathroom, which were clean. Buffet breakfast provided limited choices, which seemed to run out pretty early. The map provided is close to useless. Wandered around the train station for a while without success. In the end, picked up a free map at the tourist office at the railway station. The lady there marked the hotel on the map for us. It's a 15-20 minute walk to Piazza Bra. Would recommend this place as an economic choice in otherwise high-priced Verona.

Hotel would have been quite tricky to find from the hotel's website map alone. Only a short distance from Verona's train/bus station. 20 minute walk to main sites (arena, castelvecchio), 30 minutes to Juliet's balcony - but good local bus services make life easier. Hotel itself is clean, modern, quiet (our room overlooked the street but you only knew it when the window was open). Air conditioned. There was nothing wrong with breakfast but neither was it anything special - fine if you just want a basic continental breakfast. I would be happy to stay there again for a few nights. It was perfectly acceptable as a fairly cheap/mid-priced sight-seeing/opera base (they also do a free shuttle bus in the opera season).

Easy walking distance to Arena. The hotel laid on a free coach to the arena for the opera season. Good, clean, modern hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Close to the station but absolutely quiet. Air conditioning much appreciated!!

The Martini was a very nice hotel, the room was clean and attractive, the staff were extremely helpful. Although the hotel is fairly far from the historic center of town, the hotel offered a free bus to travel to and from the Arena for opera.

It was really nice to stay in this hotel. For those who came to Verona by train like us, was really easy to find and it is walking distance from the rail station. To the center of the city was quit a walk, but the service bus to Arena was comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast at the terrace.

The hotel is very well appointed for its 3 star rating. The location is within easy walking distance of the Arena, and the cities attractions, a courtesy bus available for transport to the opera. A value for money hotel considering its location.

The hotel was good value. Finally a good breakfast! The hotel is a little difficult to locate and a good 25 to 30 minute walk into the city center.

This hotel is a 15 minute walk from the centre of Verona, and we expected that the rates may reflect this. However the facility is very pleasant, more modern in decor than others we stayed in, quiet, and well appointed. Breakfast is an excellent cold buffet, including much more than other places we stayed. Is easy walk from station, although a litle confusing at first, due to the street layout, but a welcome sign on a fence at the entrance to the hotel street eventually solved that. The rooms overlooking gardens and a tennis court, and helpful staff made it a pleasant stay. After all the delicious Italian pastas, pizzas and gelato ice creams we had consumed in our travels, the walk to the town was a bonus!!

Situated just outside city walls,1km from the expensive (hotels) in centre. Convenient for station( 400m). Modern building typical 3* room system. Breakfast, buffet type, with god choice for price range. Aircon included in price, but only comes on in evening/night. Would use hotel again.

This is a clean, modern, comfortable hotel about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town and very close to the station. The staff were professional and very helpful, and we enjoyed our stay.
