Hotel Marco Polo - Verona

A stylish boutique hotel in a quiet street, within easy walking distance of the Arena and main areas of interest. Our room was of generous size, with contemporary elegant furnishings, and very well equipped. Breakfasts, taken in a rather small room in the basement, were of a high standard, only let down by the coffee coming from a self-service machine - a trifle disappointing to find in Italy!

This was one of our best hotels during our trip through North-Italy. Very close to the centre. Fantastic, clean, modern, romantic rooms. Friendly staff. Excellent facilities. Nice breakfast.

Our room was great - lots of room. Beds were very good & great fluffy towels. Shower a tiny bit small. Otherwise would highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay there again, close to everything, staff were terrific.

Chlorine smell in the depandance but good quality of the room

New hotel, absolutely no place to put clothes, had to "live out of our suitcases" for 2 days we were there. Too stark!!!

Stayed in marco polo for 1 night in July 10. We went to opera so needed to stay central in order to get home after wards. We paid over the odds we know at 150 euros for one night but I was expecting some thing a bit more special. Hotel was bland, characterless and strangely clinical for some reason. Perhaps because it sometimes seems like a spa with a small hotel attached. Room was quite small and a bit noisy as it was right next to reception. Being on ground floor was odd with people walking past. Weird thing was that the bathroom just had a v thin gauze curtain and when light was on inside you mist have been able to see right in. Breakfast room dark and noiseless with very bad coffee on tap and even when you got a cappuccino from the one waitress that had no flavour either. Not great front desk service - couldn't find our reservation for first 5 mins or so plus person seemed to be only one there so she kept having to pick up phone to answer calls whilst we were standing there. On check out they had it in their records that we used the car park but we hadn't. All easily sorted but just not v impressed with it.

The location is fantastic, just 3 to 4 minutes walk from Piazza Bra. The hotel is a lovely combination of good quality modern facilities in a lovely old building. The staff were very helpful and polite. Our room (a superior) was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The spa facilities looked great but we didn't have time to use them..! We'll stay again the next time we go to Verona.
