Hotel Leopardi - Verona

Good value and everything in order. Perfectly functioning AC and temperature control was much appreciated in July.

Quite rooms, long way from station but reachable by city bus. Ask for superior beds otherwise you'll have seperated beds. Very good breakfast, but don't try their restaurant (good menu but too expensive).

Pros: . large rooms . very good breakfast . reasonable service Cons: . location: don;t be fooled by the "close to downtown", the hotel is very far, you'll have to drive or take a cab to the center . stile of the hotel is a bit seventies, old fashioned . bathroom is very small, and in need of desperate renovation

We were in Verona to watch AIDA. Hotel very comfortable, the room generous. Breakfast excellent. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Very, very good.

The area around the Hotel is not too nice - it is about 1200metres from a better residential area.

Our visit to Verona was most enjoyable due to the quality of the hotel, the shuttle service to and from the Arena. In addition the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Francesca, on the occasion when the ATM failed to dispense my cash.her helpful extended to Venice as well on the occasion when my wallet was stolen. I would certainly recommend and use this hotel again.

The staff were very helpfull and managed to sort out adouble booking fault that I had made despite being a holiday weekend. Having been to Verona before we promised ourselves a night at the opera. The hotel provided free transport to and from the venue which is a good 30 minute brisk walk otherwise.

A room for 3 adults, which was good. I was disappointed only with the fact that no tea-making facility was provided in the room. It was quiet overall, but some guests in the next room were very loud in the early hours one night. I know that is their ignorance, but no-one came to shut them up. I had to do it!

My wife, 10 year old daughter and I stayed only one night, but Leopardi was very spacious, clean, well equipped. It is a quick taxi ride from train station (about 10 euros) and about 25 min. stroll into city centre and the arena. Staff was very helpful, my daughter loved the complimentary cake and juice upon check in. The hotel arranged complimentary shuttle to and from the opera. The breakfast buffet (included) was very good, with lots of variety and hot dishes too. Would highly recommend this hotel. Not much to see around hotel, but city centre only a short walk away.

We had a resservation onl for one night and added another one, no complications. Shuttle service to the arena was perfect.

L'hotel est tres beau. Le personnel en salle (petit dejeuner) tres agreable. Le petit dejeuner etait excellent: qualite, quantite, variete et service. Notre chambre triple etait TRES spacieuse. Un peu bruyante car situee en bord de route mais tout de meme acceptable. Le point le moins positif est la situation de l'hotel, un peu loin du centre ville. Il faut compter au moins 30 minutes a pieds. Rapport qualite/prix = excellent.

A little bit away from the centre but we walked into the centre very easily. Good value during Opera Season including a free shuttle to and fro (we couldn't find the bus on the way back). We have been in central hotels as well and didn't find the distance any problem.

This was one of the best hotels (quality vs. price) we stayed during our Europe trip. We were looking for an affordable option and it was an excellent option. You'll need to walk a little (15-20mins) to get to the touristic area. From the train station you better take a bus, walking is not that close neither safe.

Excellent breakfast&serving with fine cappuccino :) The possibility to choose from six types of pillows for the night is nice, and the bathroom with a bathtub was also great. The hotel is tidy and clean, and English is spoken by the employees. The city central is ~10 minutes of walk away. We had a good time here.

Nice Hotel, quiet, easy to find. The girl in the front desk was very helpfull with a lot of tips about what to do, where to go and everything. I was travelling with my family ( party of 5) and was very confortable. I recomend this hotel if you want to stay in Verona a couple of days.

I really enjoyed my staying.

One small comment. I had a hard time connecting my laptop in my room as the plug available at the desk in my room did not have a proper plug for my laptop. i also had a hard time to find a proper plug in the common areas of the hotel where I could work.

Excellent hotel package. However official street name publication at your website and hotel flyers will help GPS depending customers to find the hotel location far more easily. Shuttle to and back from the opera performance at the arena were well organised.

Hemos disfrutado una habitación triple para pareja con niño 5 años en cama y bebe en cuna grande facilitada por hotel, con espacio más que suficiente para todos... limpieza, desayuno y servicio general impecable... una buena estancia para recorrer el Veneto desde el lago Garda a Venezia. Por otro lado, la situación no hace incómodo ir andando al centro de Verona, y está muy bien comunicado en autobus con la estación de tren.

Good location and very nice helpful staff

Location outside city centre is convenient for travel from motorway but means a bit of a walk into town. Easy parking(free). Staff very helpful and friendly.Pre opera buffet and courtesy bus system worked excellently.Facilities (room, breakfast etc) all good.

My wife and I went to Verona 2 weeks ago to to enjoy "La Traviata" at "Arena". Our stay at The Leopardi was absolutely fantastic and no doubt that in our next visit. The Leopardi will be our Hotel. We had a great stay at the Leopardi. The rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. We requested a double and a twin next to each other and got exactly what we asked for. The breakfast was excellent. Staff were helpful and spoke English. It was about a 20 minute walk to the arena, but it was quite a pleasant walk.

Smart looking hotel, nice 15/20minute walk to Verona centre. Staff efficient and very friendly, Would use hotel again. Booking in time 11am optamistic when hotel is busy as check out time is also 11am.

Good hotel with good facilities. Shuttle to the arena was a real plus. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good but restaurant had little ambiance although menu was excellent. It was a long walk to the towncentre. Directions to find the hotel were not very good.

A superb hotel about 2 km outside the Verona citycenter. The room was very nice and well airconditioned. We stayed for only one night for an opera in the Verona Arena. For that purpose it was perfect, because the hotel offers free suttlebus before and after the performance. The breakfast next morning was exellent.

Excellent hotel with clean, spacious rooms! Wonderful breakfast. This hotel is about a 15-20 min. walk from the arena, but the city bus leaves about every half hour and the shuttle service to the opera performances is convenient. (We actually enjoyed our walks to the city center and became acquainted with parts of Verona we had not seen on previous stays.) We loved our stay and will certainly return to this hotel.

Due to a sudden death of a close friend of one of my party , i had to change the booking at the last minute. So instead of 3 twin rooms at another hotel i changed to 1 double and a trible superior rooms at this hotel. We were so pleased with the late change the rooms were great, clean and big enough for three people. Great location and staff very helpful. To get breakfast in this price as well as a great room rate was brilliant. We did see the other hotel when travelling in to the main square by bus and there really was no comparison.A great move and choice.

Ein nett anzuschauenendes hotel, nette zimmer aber nicht sehr herzliches personal. ist man noch einen tag vorher die venezianische warmherzigkeit gewohnt, wird man hier auf den boden der tatsachen zurück geholt. irgendwie wirkte doch alles wesentlich kühler... grosser pluspunkt des hotels: der shuttle-service vom hotel der oper und zurück, sowie das "pre-opera" buffet :-) für ein wochenende mit opernbesuch ist dieses hotel wohlmöglich genau das richtige, für einen längeren aufenthalt würde ich das hotel nicht empfehlen.

Exceptionally mentionable is the gratis shuttle service in the evening to the arena! The breakfast was wonderful. We will definitely stay again at this hotel.

The evening meals in the hotel were a disappointment. Although the meals were pleasantly presented they were fairly bland in flavour. The ambience was also not the most enjoyable as the restaurant had no natural light. The restaurant for breakfasts on the other hand was far more enjoyable.

This hotel can be recommended. Location is quite good, nice 20 minutes walk to the centre. Easy to find, coming from the west. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Extraordenary breakfast. Bus transfer to the arena worked well. No complaints at all.

We found the hotel without much difficulty. We arrived late, about 2145, and had not eaten. The staff went out of their way to arrange for the restaurant to stay open long enough to serve us, and the food was excellent. Parking is available right behind the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Fromthe moment we arrived at the Hotel Leopardi, we were given a first class service by ALL the staff. Nothing was too much for any of them. We were very impressed with the service we received in the restaurant. If we decide to return to Verona at a later date, we will definitely stay at this hotel again. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. First rate accomodations - especially for the price. We found Verona to be delightful and recommend seeing a show at The Arena. The hotel caters to guests who are in town for events at The Arena.

It was an excellent stay. The room was perfect and the breakfast exceeds any Italian standard by far. The shuttle service to the Arena compensates the location outside the city center. Personnel was always friendly and competent. We will recommend "Leopardi" to our friends for a Verona visit.

Enormous triple room! And the breakfast was amazing! Excellent service all around. Shuttle service to the Arena was invaluable. It's a little out of the way, but it makes up for it in class and service!

A short taxi ride from the station and city centre with a courtesy bus to take you to the opera. Very comfortable hotel with excellent food and friendly, helpful staff.

The Leopardi's friendly knowledgeable staff speak excellent English and German. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and simply but elegantly furnished. Good quality aircon, double glazing and blackout blinds ensured a good night's sleep! During opera season there is a free shuttle bus into the city throughout the evening; at other times the city taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. A good choice for anyone who wants easy access to the airport and industrial areas as well as the delights of the citta antica.

Excellent value for money. Near enough to Verona centre to walk there. Easy bus rides. Had very good recommendations for restaurants.

The Leopardi is a strictly functional hotel with no atmosphere. It is said to be 20 min walk to the Arena (and therefore many of the other sights) but most people will take longer, especially if they are not used to the heat. On opera nights there is a free coach service starting around 1800 hrs. Book the outward ride as soon as you can. The homeward ride is "first come, first served". The alternative is to take a taxi (cost about Euros 10 each way). Breakfast is comprehensive although service was inconsistent. An underground and secure garage is available.

Hotel good and breakfast excellent. A long walk from the Arena, approx 20 mins. The only problem is they have charged us twice and after numerous phonecalls and e mails we still haven't been refunded !

Hotel Leopardi is a great choise! It was easy to get there by car and there was free parking. It is not in the city center, but easy to reach, even by feet. The rooms were very clean and have a nice wooden floor. We were very happy to stay there. Hotel Leopardi war eine sehr gute Wahl! Das Hotel war leicht mit dem Auto zu finden und das Parken war sogar umsonst.Es ist nicht direkt in der Altstadt aber diese kann problemlos zu Fuss erreicht werden. Die Räume waren sauber und das Zimmer hatte einen schönen Holzboden. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! (S. Pelli)

I found the price on venere at half of other sites for same period/prestations. Location was correct. Need to walk to the center, but not too much. Exterior aspect give the feeling of going here for buisness, but when inside, it's really charming...

It was a really great pleasure to spend 4 days in your hotel. Everything was more than excellent. Congratulations. For sure, we will be back.

A beautiful hotel; our room was luxurious, and everything from the cleanliness to the breakfast was first class. Each room also had a self-programmable safe for valuables. The location is a fair walk from the main centre, but it is quite enjoyable.

A disaster, someone took from my room a car GPS worth €1,640. After many complains the hotel staff and the director told me that they could not find anything. If you go to this hotel watch for your properties.

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The hotel is obviously relatively new, as evidenced by the fixtures and furniture. The prices are a bit high, but so are prices of every hotel in Europe. The room was very clean, the breakfast was pretty decent, and the service was good. The rooms also had air conditioning, which many European hotels do not have. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others.

I only stayed one night with my wife,generally impressions were excellent,no problems,only we were a bit disapointed that it was far from the center,when corresponding and booking the room it mentioned location center. My advise is to mention clearly how far from the center,we were looking actually for a Hotel within walking distance to the Arena. To Hoteliers as myself they should also offer corporate discount

I'd recommend a stay at Leopardi, a valuable place, with nice service,just beside the railway station.Inside parking easily.

The only problem we found was that the hotel was further than we thought from the town centre, about a 20 - 30 minute walk. Other than that the room was clean and modern, and the staff were very welcoming. We would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Verona, and would definitely stay there again if we returned.

The hotel was excellent - good quality rooms and hospitable staff. However, the location was deceptive and in the middle of nowhere. You had to cross what appeared to be the main ring road (5-10 mins walk) before you felt that were were anywhere at all.

I found the hotel very comfortable and reasonable value for money, The staff were extremely helpful in every way. I would have no hesitation in staying in the Leopardi when I next visit Verona.
