Customer service was the best we have had in Italy. Very helpful and nice. We upgraded to a superior room for 15€ more at check in. A regular double must be very small because the superior was not very big. Quiet street steps from main piazza.

This was our first time in Verona, and we feel we made the right choice with this Hotel. It is very close to all the main attractions and the Piazza Bra which is just a wonderful place. Hotel staff were also helpful in booking a wine tour for us which was most enjoyable. There's no restaurant in the Hotel but there are eating places all around.

The hotel is most conviently located only meters from the all the main attractions via Mazzini shopping, Piazza Bra and the Arena and a short walk to restaurants, Piazza Erbe etc. Our fist room 108 was very small and so we upgraded to 103 which was delightful and quite spacious. A nicely maintained hotel and very centrally located, but on a relatively quiet small street. TV, A/C, WiFi connection all worked well. Breakfast buffet was fine, though not exceptional. The only [small] criticism I have is that the walls seemed a bit thin (e.g. could sometimes hear a bit of flushing/shower sound, voices of neighbours), but that didn't disburb me much. €148 a night (single with breakfast) in late September seemed a little pricey at first. But considering the quality and location, it was still reasonable.

The staff were wonderful there - very helpful. Full of advice and good tips. The twin room was like the pictures, if you stuck your head out the window you saw the Arena at the end of the street, great location. The bathroom only had a shower but was impressive. The wardrobe did not have enough hangers. Nice touch with housing keeping checking your room twice a day.

Staff were welcoming and very friendly with clean and relaxed atmosphere. Evening noises went away after the late dinner hour so it wasn't too much of a problem.

This was a very nice hotel in an excellent, central, location for exploring old Verona. The staff were very friendly and were happy to humour my stumbling Italian, although equally happy, and able, to speak good English. There was no traffic noise at all but at times we were aware of noise from other rooms (particularly above ours) and from the plumbing. The hotel provided us with a free parking permit and we were generally able to find a parking space near by without too much difficulty. Lots of things to see and good places to eat within easy walking distance. This hotel provides good value for money and is thoroughly recommended.

Excellent hotel for what we paid in December, though it might be a different story in the summer high season--not sure if noise or air conditioning would be an issue. The location is hard to beat: a block away from the arena and the main shopping street. The bathroom was en suite but had a bizarre half shower "door" that didn't really keep the water from spraying around during a shower. Pretty minor in my mind. The breakfast--for a 3-star hotel--was the best we had in Italy. More than ample for this American.

The room was okay. We had a room with balcony on the streetside with their hotel logo in neon-lights attached next to our window. No problem though, their was a roll-down shutter (in dutch 'rolluik') so no one in the room went blind. The bathroom (without bath in our case) was of normal size, except the showercabinet, which was very small! But summarized; functional when you do not irritate on it much. If you stand on the balcony, look to the left, you can see the Roman Amphitheater at the end of the street. Very cool view! The reception personnel recommended a very good restaurant 'Greppia' (completely italian) where they go to theirselves as italian. Normal price, very good service and cooking. (Not so typical touristic with chinese personnel, but original italian kitchen) We went to Verona on the 18th of Novembre, price 120 eur for one night with breakfast. (Breakfast was excellent with extended choice) Internet computer costed 1 euro per 10 minutes. In other hotels, like Hotel Berna in Milano, the internet computer was free of charge (but maximal 20 minutes continously, just for giving other guests an opportunity).

A most charming hotel just steps away from everything there is to see in the city. The one drawback is, as in any italian city, lack of parking. We were offered a resident's pass to park on the street but there was absolutely no parking spot to be found in the vicinity; we ended up paying 20 Euros per day in a private parking. This room was the most expensive room I stayed in during my trip to Italy. I had high expectations of luxury. The tiny room did not measure up to my expectations. It was clean, the shower pressure was good, the breakfast was better than most and the staff were friendly. In the end the higher price must have been because of the excellent location and I am still not sure if it was worth it.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Giulietta e Romeo, the staff were most helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble, our car was taken parked and returned to the hotel on time. The room was adequate and comfortable and we had a good breakfast to see us through the day. We felt the cost of the room was a little on the high side but we were in the middle of a tourist area. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and have no problems in returning.

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, good sized rooms but would benefit from some cosmetic updating. Overall, good value for money and a very pleasant stay.

THE RESTAURANT RECOMMENDED BY THE RECEPTION WAS SO GOOD. THE NEW DECORATION OF THE LOBBY WAS BETTER THAN THE OLD PICTURE. LOCATION WAS ONE OF THE BEST PLACE.

I loved this place! some small noise outside my bedroom, but i think it was more the occupants and not the place. the best staff, an incredible breakfast selection, and the PERFECT location! thanks again!

This hotel is in a perfect location. The staff were very friendly and made us most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was a little dark and not particularly spacious, however this was more than compensated by the excellent service and location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people.

The hotel has an excellent location in Verona. The breakfast buffet was average to below average compared to similarly priced hotels I have stayed at. I did not think the price of the room was commensurate with the quality of the room and services provided. I expected more from the hotel, but had a very pleasant stay. I got the impression the room rate has more to do with the hotel location than services provided.

The room was beyond tiny. And the air condiitoing did not work. I was forced to stay in that room and sweat the first three days. The air conditioing finally started working my last night. The front desk manager couldn't get it fixed and was unwilling to change my room.

Whilst the room we were allocated was rather small and dark, we moved to a larger room at a small supplement which was much better. It is a pity about the lack of drawers in the rooms! The hotel is in a superb position for sightseeing, restaurants and the arena. The staff are most helpful, friendly and considerate.

This was the only 3 Star hotel we stayed in during our almost 3 weeks in Italy. Yes, it is a true 3 Star but a very charming 3 Star. We chose the Giulietta e Romeo for its location and we were not disappointed. We would choose this hotel again if we have a return visit to Verona.

This was my first hotel on my tour of Italy. It was everything and more than I had hoped for. Perfect location for all of the sites and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I hope to return again next year.

You can't beat location. Staff were the best I encountered over 4 weeks in Europe, very helpful. I had a single room which was by definition small but did have a spacious balcony. Good continental breakfast. Well prcied ADSL internet service in lobby also able to dial up from room.

The doors and inter-room walls and ceilings need more soundproofing. Could hear other residents talking until 2am and the sound of the drains was very prominent in the toilet area of our room. Finally, air conditioning was either off or not very good.

The hotel staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and smartly decorated, including our room which was quite spacious. The buffet breakfast was very nice with a good selection. The location was excellent, being on top of the Arena and easy walking distance to all the other sites, restaurants and shops. We will be returning to Verona again one day and will definitely book this hote.
