Staff interested and most helpful. Good location

United Kingdom, Aug 2009
We stayed at this hotel in August as my son was getting married in Verona. It was a fabulous hotel and the staff could not do enough for us. The location is superb - we only had to walk a few yards and we were at the arena. Plenty of good local restaurants - the best one was situated next door to the hotel so very convenient. We have recommended it to our friends and family.

Our room was very dark (our view only a wall).

Bordering Property gives a 'LOUD' ambience to an otherwise, well-situated pleasant Hotel. I would stay there again.

While the hotel was very simple and a little dingy, the location was unbeatable. It was only a minute walk to the Arena and the square and very close the shopping. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

Excellent location, cosy, charming hotel, complete bouquet of services and irreproachable hospita- lity of entire welcoming staff, able to create the bright image of shiny,open-hearted Verona already on the doorstep of Giuletta e Romeo. Advanced menagement, high professional standard and very benevolent standpoint of all the team to "tribe" of strolling travellers provide a clear delight of stay here.Careful, sincere and kind staff of this hotel perfectly represents lovely "Urbis nobillissima " and is able to do that with a faultless professional elegance, really looking for you and looking up to you.

Good things - location of the hotel is very good and breakfast was good. Bad things - air-conditioner in our room was out of order and nothing was done although we asked. Walls are very thin, so you can hear every sound behind. It was difficult to sleep.

Excellent hotel in the middle of town but not noisy. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Room very good with own balcony, the only downside is that it overlooked everyone else's back windows, but a nice place to sit. Verona far exceeded our expectations, lots to see and very easy to get around. Lovely hotel for a weekend break, we will be recommending it to friends.

Great location! Walking distance to all the history sites. About 7-8 euros by taxi from the train station. Our family of 3 were there on vacation. At first, I was concerned because we were given a ground-level room off the breakfast area. Despite the location, it was very quiet and a LARGE space.

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Giulietta e Romeo and were impressed by the size and condition of the hotel and rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially finding good, reasonable places to eat. The hotel is steps from the Arena and the city is wonderfully accessible to the historic sites and fun shopping.

Centrally located in old quarter of city very conveient for Arena, and other main sites of Verona. Room was very well appointed with kingsize, comfortable bed. Only criticism with room is that bath was not fitted with shower curtain, so tended to bathe instead of shower, (slight inconvenience). Breakfast was more than adequate.

very nice and friendly hotel, fantastic area in the center of Verona, no parking problems because they offer a garage - great! The staff is very helpful and breakfast and teatime (from 4 - 5 p.m.)perfect. The arena is really nearby - that is great when the opera ends at 1.00 a.m....

We were on vacation to see the central sites of Verona and this hotel is in a fabulous location on a relatively quiet side street, perfectly situated to be in the old city. Staff were welcoming and very friendly with clean and relaxed atmosphere. Evening noises went away after the late dinner hour so it wasn't too much of a problem. It's no worse than I'd expect in a city center and was mostly jovial voices rather than autos. We Great meal at the family trattoria a few doors down. I would highly recommend a stay here!

This was a very nice hotel in an excellent, central, location for exploring old Verona. The staff were very friendly and were happy to humour my stumbling Italian, although equally happy, and able, to speak good English. There was no traffic noise at all but at times we were aware of noise from other rooms (particularly above ours) and from the plumbing. The hotel provided us with a free parking permit and we were generally able to find a parking space near by without too much difficulty. Lots of things to see and good places to eat within easy walking distance. This hotel provides good value for money and is thoroughly recommended.
United Kingdom, Oct 2006
Ideal location for visitors like us who were using public transport to travel in the Veneto and within walking distance of most of Verona's attractions. Staff were helpful and friendly, service was prompt and efficient and although my single room was not huge, it was comfortable, clean and served me well during my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the taverna next door. Both good food and plenty of atmosphere. Pity the bedroom was so small. It was cramped and claustrophic although very clean and well-maintained. We would only return to this hotel if we were offered a bigger room.

Great location! Walk to all important places. Arena 50 meters away. Skilled, friendly. professional staff. Eager to help. English speaking which for us was an important help. Room was large comfortable and very clean. staff provided maps, suggested walking tour and picked out the best popular priced restraurants. Breakfast was excellant. Couldn't ask for more and will definately return some day.

If you are looking for adequate accommodation in the centre of beautiful Verona then the Giulietta e Romeo is the place for you. Some may consider it expensive but the location is perfect for Verona sight-seeing and concerts at the Arena. The hotel staff are professional, helpful and considerate, and language was no problem. No view from the back windows but that was not what we were there for. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Wonderful hotel but very difficult to locate even with mapquest directions. Hidden in a maze of narrow streets that are not marked. Once found, it was delightful and a great location for exploring the city on foot. Would suggest that the hotel post some signs near the autostrata to direct guests to their location more easily.

Perfect location on a quiet street but very close to the best shopping and the Arena. The breakfast had a good variety and was of better quality than most others that are "free." Staff was very helpful - called taxis, looked up train schedules, etc. at a moment's notice.

The staff were uniformly helpful and welcoming. The location was amazing, right next to the Arena and the Piazza Bra. The room was comfortable. The walls were fairly thin, though, so we could hear the neighbors too well. But it was charming overall. We would stay again.

We stayed this hotel for four nights. The frontdesk was friendly ,our request to change the room with bathtab was accepted, gave us maps of sight-seeing and tips of the restaurants. The room clean and comfortable, regretly rather small as usual in Italy. Bath water kept hot and enough, the breakfast good enough but not the best. The price might(should) be lower in the relation with room-spaciousness and breakfast. Anyway we enjoyed the stay very much!

Bagno e stanza un po' troppo piccoli. Bagno privo di bidé. Colazione buona ma non eccezionale. Personale molto disponibile. E' davvero in pieno centro, attaccato all'arena e alla via principale.

Excellent hotel for what we paid in December, though it might be a different story in the summer high season--not sure if noise or air conditioning would be an issue. The location is hard to beat: a block away from the arena and the main shopping street. The bathroom was en suite but had a bizarre half shower "door" that didn't really keep the water from spraying around during a shower. Pretty minor in my mind. The breakfast--for a 3-star hotel--was the best we had in Italy. More than ample for this American.

Netherlands, Nov 2005
The room was okay. We had a room with balcony on the streetside with their hotel logo in neon-lights attached next to our window. No problem though, their was a roll-down shutter (in dutch 'rolluik') so no one in the room went blind. The bathroom (without bath in our case) was of normal size, except the showercabinet, which was very small! But summarized; functional when you do not irritate on it much. If you stand on the balcony, look to the left, you can see the Roman Amphitheater at the end of the street. Very cool view! The reception personnel recommended a very good restaurant 'Greppia' (completely italian) where they go to theirselves as italian. Normal price, very good service and cooking. (Not so typical touristic with chinese personnel, but original italian kitchen) We went to Verona on the 18th of Novembre, price 120 eur for one night with breakfast. (Breakfast was excellent with extended choice) Internet computer costed 1 euro per 10 minutes. In other hotels, like Hotel Berna in Milano, the internet computer was free of charge (but maximal 20 minutes continously, just for giving other guests an opportunity).

A most charming hotel just steps away from everything there is to see in the city. The one drawback is, as in any italian city, lack of parking. We were offered a resident's pass to park on the street but there was absolutely no parking spot to be found in the vicinity; we ended up paying 20 Euros per day in a private parking. Everything else was just great!

Although our room was rather small and the bathroom cramped the hotel was comfortable and the location near the arena is great. Also the breakfast buffet was top class and the staff very friendly and efficient. As we do not usually spend much time in our room on holiday and it had everything we needed it was agreat place to stay in an exciting city.

This room was the most expensive room I stayed in during my trip to Italy. I had high expectations of luxury. The tiny room did not measure up to my expectations. It was clean, the shower pressure was good, the breakfast was better than most and the staff were friendly. In the end the higher price must have been because of the excellent location and I am still not sure if it was worth it.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Giulietta e Romeo, the staff were most helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble, our car was taken parked and returned to the hotel on time. The room was adequate and comfortable and we had a good breakfast to see us through the day. We felt the cost of the room was a little on the high side but we were in the middle of a tourist area. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and have no problems in returning.

This hotel is in a perfect location. The staff were very friendly and made us most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has an excellent location in Verona. The breakfast buffet was average to below average compared to similarly priced hotels I have stayed at. I did not think the price of the room was commensurate with the quality of the room and services provided. I expected more from the hotel, but had a very pleasant stay. I got the impression the room rate has more to do with the hotel location than services provided.

The room was beyond tiny. And the air condiitoing did not work. I was forced to stay in that room and sweat the first three days. The air conditioing finally started working my last night. The front desk manager couldn't get it fixed and was unwilling to change my room.
