First time to Verona it was not in the main centre but bus stops dotted around closeby. room was basic but in a lovely area and there was a great pizzeria just down the road. we would stay again

i was thoroughly satisfied with my 8 days of stay at Hotel Elena/Verona..all the the staff were extremely kind civil and hospitable..the hotel was quite far away from the noise and confusion of the city and was located at a highly tranquil part of the town just as i'd prefer.so i will surely come back to there in my next visit to Verona hopefully next summer for the Arena di Verona and will strongly recommend the venue to my friends who would plan to go to Verona..gracie mille..

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my stay at Hotel Elena... The location is terrible. I suppose it does say this on the description, but it is not very convineint for public transport. The bus to town is outside the hotel, farily regular, but takes 30mins, and stops at 8.30. After that you must get another bus to the hospital (30 mins) and then walk (20 mins). This really affected my stay i'm afraid. The rooms were very basic, the area around the hotel, sketchy. The police were called the night I stayed, and I was followed home off the bus. The breakfast was just bread and jam...

We feel very well there, they are very kind, polite and clean and they have very reasonable prices,it has the only disadvantage that it isn`t so near from the city center (about 15 minutes by bus, but it's well comunicated) and it's a bit dificult to find the hotel the first time you get there.

We liked, very much, the couple who seemed to be the ownwer of this little nice hotel. It was very quite, both inside and outside the hotel.Nice surrondings with familyhouses. No problem to park the car. Easy to go by bus to the center of Verona (exept in the evening) We were two cuoples from Sweden that stayed for four nights.

I made my reservation for 3 single rooms, and Hotel Elena was with 50 euro per room per night the cheapest alternative offered. Not indicated on the confirmation, even the breakfest was included. The bathrooms had a shower only, but even hairdryers were provided. I did not see an elevator, but that was not a problem, since all rooms are either on the entrance level or one floor up or down. Its location was not on the Venere maps, but was close to the area called "Fiera Z.A.I.", even closer the the historical centre than some of the hotels on that map area. The taxi after the opera was only 10 euro (I payed 15 euro to go to Euromotel Croce Bianca where I stayed a few years ago; this hotel was on the Venere maps).

I enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Staff is helpful and rooms are clean. Just the distance to the center (around 4-5kms) is a bit negative, but there is a city bus stopping in front of the hotel every 20mins.

Lots of noise from other rooms and breakfast serving in morning. Bit difficult to find restaurants in immediate area. No other problems.

Hotel itself is quite OK. Rate seems high if compared to what we paid in Venice (same price). Hotel is situated outside the city, which we knew (15 min by bus, bus stop just in front of the hotel). BUt no return bus after 8 pm, taxi is < 10 Euro though. Friendly + helpful staff.

You can't believe it's only a 2-star hotel. An excellent choice. Far from the centre but the bus stop is just in front of the hotel and you can get the bus tickets on board.
