We had a very nice stay in Hotel Due Torri. The hotel is very nice and quiet. The room was nice and large/comfortable. The location is close to all famous sites. The staff is very nice and helpfull. Also the Chef is very nice and speaks french. As my wife is vegetarian, he accomodated a special dinner for her. All together, a perfect stay in a perfect place.

An expensive treat. The quality of the breakfast buffet was not good. There were few guests staying there so there was not much atmosphere in the public areas. We did not use the restaurant as we would have been on our own. Otherwise, a fabulous hotel, great location, and exceptional staff.

It must be the opera season in Verona, but I found the Baglioni hotel vastly overpriced. I am fond of two other Baglioni hotels, in Bologna and especially London; yet it seems that the Baglioni folks decided to manage the Due Torri in Verona without making any improvements to tired and worn facilities, cramped rooms, and furniture that strives to be antique yet is merely old. It is a safe bet that I will not return.

Its a beautiful grand old hotel in the best possible location, but with the emphasis on "old." The Baglioni website makes the rooms look like Relais Chateaux quality - and for the price they should be – but they are not. This hotel, mainly the guest rooms, need a major renovation. All the wood is worn and sad, the ventilation system was non-functional, and the room stuffy. Look, Im no American snob, I love old European hotels and don't need Frete linens in every bed. But the Baglioni chain bills itself as being at that "RC" quality when its not. With that said, I would stay here again. The hotel itself and lobby are stunning, the staff was first rate, and the location perfect, but I now have a more realistic appreciation of the hotel's true nature.

The hotel has been recently renewed, maybe with a too much baroque taste for an italian. it seems more how an american would decorate his place to make it italian style! Except for that, and that I had to queue for checking in, nothing to say about the service, the room space (actually my room was huge) and cleanliness. Reception staff was really very kind and helpfull. The price/quality relationship is still a little to high.

When we checked into Room 109 we found a personalized note and a plate of fresh fruit awaiting our arrival. The bedroom and marble bathroom were extremely spacious (the bath had a double vanity). Our room looked out onto the adjacent piazza with beautiful views onto it and beautiful church. The Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room and hotel public areas were extremely clean. It's in a fabulous location in the heart of the old town. I will be staying here again.

I rate Due Torri as the best I have stayed. Room service was excellent. Location was ideal, quiet and very central. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was superb. It was excellent value for money. I would certainly consider revisiting. A memorable occasion.

The Hotel stuff should be a little more nicer. For example a smile would be appreciated. Especially the servants at the Breakfast Room were not very friendly. But the Room Maids were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is generally rated as one of the best in Verona. However, it suffers slightly from 'faded grandeur'. It is also a fair way from the Arena and shopping area. At the time of our visit (August 2005) restoration work on the church in the square ouside the hotel caused some noise and disruption. The Acadamia hotel is better located and seemed to be more vibrant-however, we didn't venture inside the Acadamia. Breakfast service at the Du Torri was excellent.

The hotel is a classic and while not modern enough for everyone's tastes the necessities were all there. The staff was pleasant and attentive. If you are in Verona for the Opera you cannot beat the location.

The staff treated us like second class citizans when we arrived with a child and spoke to us as if we had never stayed in a hotel. They were rude and had their noses in the air. It ruined our holiday. I travel on business 3 times a week. I will not be recommending my large mulinational organisation to use Baglioni hotels in the future.

The lobby and rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The service (mainly front desk) was professional, but not particularly friendly or helpful. The bed was comfortable with nice linens, and bathroom was well-appointed except for inadequate shower door which allowed the floor to get wet. For the price ($400/day), I expect other amentities or services or at least more attentiveness.

The hotel rooms were very darkly decorated and smelled of dust. The lift was tiny and very old (I wouldn't lke to get stuck in it). In my opinion the hotel is definetly not a 5* and is not value for money.

It would have been helpful to know about the fact that there was no parking at the hotel before we hired a car and then had to spend nearly 120 euro's over three days extra on our stay to have the car kept in a car park that the hotel used.

There was no way, while registering online, to indicate that I had, in addition to two adults, my four year old twins in my party. Due Bambini! I ended up in a room with two tiny single beds and no room for even a cot. Ouch. Plus, the front desk staff were the only rude people we met in Italy.

The bed was comfortable, the breakfast good and the location excellent, but the rooms are rather small and dark (although nicely decorated) and we felt that this did not represent the best value for money we experienced on our trip

At over 400 Euros per night, I expected far nicer accommodations. The shower/tub design resulted in a flooded bathroom floor after even short showers, the room furniture was in significant disrepair, and the dingy/tattered appearance of the bed linens, draperies, and wall coverings contributed to an overall impression that the room was unclean/ill-maintained.

Overall, location was great. I felt the rooms were a bit "tired" and almost had an old musky smell. Some of the staff was overly friendly, but I did have a small dispute with one of the men at the front desk and was surprised at the attitude he took with me. He also chastized one of his co-workers in my presence. I found this to be a bit unprofessional for a 5 star hotel.

Great location and impressive lobby/bar area. The rooms, however, were disappointing both in terms of size and scope/quality of furnishings. Overall I would say it was not great value for money at €500+ per night for facilities that were somewhat less than you'd expect for a supposed 5* hotel.

Beautiful hotel and location. Breakfast not exceptional; rooms fine in old-style - mini-bar but no tea/coffee in room. Very nice staff - excellent value. Could not get an iron without sending out clothes; not very practical for short stay! Otherwise enjoyed it immensely; very low key and elegant in a great city.

Quite nice. I've found great differences between "advertised" and "actual" for hotels in Italy, but this one was exactly as offered. Employees were helpful and courteous (I was permitted early check-in/arranged tour/taxi). I'm not sure about the 5-star rating (quality varies greatly between cities/countries), but I was satisfied with the value.

This hotel was listed as 5 star - it was nothing of the sort - it was appalling. The rooms where like something from the communist era (damaged furniture, no lamp shades on bedside lights, wooden floor tiles broken, blankets that felt like they had been on the bed for most of the last century!). The restaurant was closed for repairs, the furniture ancient and in bad condition, paint was peeling from the walls, the corridors were dark and musty and the lift stank of industrial cleaning fluid....it was so dreadful that we only stayed one night instead of three. I have stayed in two and three star hotels that have offered better in terms of price, quality and service than this. The Italian tourist board needs to seriously review its hotel star awards.

They were so nice, and the hotel is lovely. The airline had lost my bags, and the hotel helped me with toiletries and a robe, and delivered my bag to me right away when it arrived. The concierge was really great, and all the staff very friendly. I was travelling alone for business and the hotel made it far more pleasant
