We were upgraded to a suite with separate bedroom and 2 tv's etc. A beautiful room and awesome value for what we paid. The location is a bit of a walk (10-15 mins) from the very central part of Verona, but it is a nice walk and there are plenty of bars and restaurants closer. Parking was easy and free on the street with a permit provided by the hotel. Breakfast was usual continental fare and decent. There was some construction going on opposite the hotel which may have been an issue if you were wanting to sleep in very late, but did not worry us. Sound insulation is very good anyway. Overall an excellent stay and highly recommended.

The hotel had a massive refurbishment in the months between my booking these rooms, and our visit to Verona. Because they were at the "old" prices, it was a bargain. Now the hotel has increased its prices in line wirh the new decor, not so sure.

A competently run chain hotel in a good location in the city. A very good breakfast provided to start the day. My room was excellent, spacious and quite enabling me to work on my laptop undisturbed with a good internet connection.

Loved staying at the Armando, very close to the Arena and therefore the central area of Verona. It perfect for exploring the city. The room was large enough, not spacious but just enough room. Comfy, large bed. The wardrobe was kitted out with a safe which was large enough for a laptop! The bathroom was lovely, fab walk-in shower. Breakfast here was very good, lots of variety, eggs to boil, cold meats, fruit, bread, cereals, crossiants, cake, so much! the coffee in the machine is very good. There is a business area with a computer free for guests to use which was great as we needed to check in for our flight on-line. We found the staff very friendly and helpful whenever we spoke to them. The only negative was not the hotel's fault; the building next door was being renovated and so the builders were there on week days quite early. I would recommend the Armando, definitely.

Nice little hotel, very close to the arena di Verona (about 5 min walk). Room was a bit small, but nicely decorated, loved the shower! Wi -fi worked fine, and it was included in the price, as well as the breakfast, which was basic but good.

A nice hotel in a good location, though difficult to find at first. We took a day Verona card which was good value. We did hope to travel to mantua but on Sunday, no buses run and trains are very sparse.

Front desk manager was outstanding. We had left our passports in a hotel in Como and the front desk manager called that hotel and made arrangements to have our passports sent to our next hotel in Venice. Special service lejke that is most unusual. This same manager also sent us to two outstanding restaurants. A very nice hotel in a great location with a fantastic staff!

Only stayed the one night as we were on our way to another destination. Would happily have stayed longer as hotel was conveniently situated in the heart of old Verona. The rooms were furnished and decorated to an excellent standard mixing the old with the new. Staff were extremely helpful and we would class this as a real find!! excellent value for money as well.

Hotel Armando is a good hotel, perfectly located in the center of old Verona. Everything can easily be reached by foot. The hotel itself is very good cared for. The standard rooms were we stayed were not very spacious, but clean and designed with care. The breakfast was very good, only one minus: the breakfastroom is too smal for the amount of rooms. It is possible you have to wait for your breakfast. I would definately stay here again.

Our holiday was ruined on the first day by pick pockets in Milano. Our credit card and cash stolen. However the staff at Armando Hotel, particularly the reception could not be more helpful, with very good "English" and great understanding. Sorry to say weather was poor.

This hotel was in great walking distance to the city-centre. The breakfast was appetizing. We had no problem with side-street parking--the hotel gives you a window ticket for 50euros so that you don't get a ticket. When you check out, you simply give them the window ticket and they give your 50euros back. The hotel was quiet, plain decor, but very functional.

When we first arrived at this hotel, we thought that we must have the wrong place! For the money this hotel is excellent and the room was clean with all mod cons. It is in a great location (just behind the arena) and it is absolutely silent at night. The view from our window wasn't great, but we didn't care about that. Also, the breakfast was excellent and provided an array of choices. The staff spoke great English, but didn't seem 100% sure how to get to Brescia airport, but we managed to sort it out. Highly recommended, 10/10

There were four of us in a five bed room, which was HUGE. There were no 'homely' touches, it was just a room, which was fine for us because we didn't intend to spend much time in there. The breakfast was good. The staff were helpful. The location is great for the arena and shopping areas. A bit noisy with the window open, but very quiet with the window closed.

5 minutes walk from the Arena. 20 minutes from the station with cases(Bus to the areana if you want to!!). Easy walking to most of the tourist sites. Tourist information office very close Quiet darkish area a bit out of the obvious tourist area but we never had any concerns about that. A bit of noise from the adjacent Chinese restaurant on Saturdayt night but OK with the bedroom windows closed Good value (our friends were staying very close to the Arena & paying E20 a night more) Highly recommended

Must peo[le were in the Hotel to go to the opera in Arena de Verona. Breakfast was excellent and rooms well equiped and clean. People in reception was too rigid because we check out before time to go to see the city, was raining and finally we did not leave the Hotel but we did not have place to stay until the hour rain stoped.

Quite good and essential hotel, really close to the "Arena" (5 minutes walking!), recommended for a few day accomodation (we've booked just one night for a concert and we were satisfied). Employees are very kindly and the breakfast good. It's quite expensive for a 2 stars hotel but there aren't any cheaper alternatives in the hystorical center of Verona ! Bye all (I hope you'll understand my poor english...).

The hotel is okay, it was very annoying though that I had called in advance and ordered a babycot for my two year old son. When I arrived the cot was not in the room and asking at the reception first I was told they did not have one. Only when I threatened to move out they got one for me. Besides I had to rent a double room because of the baby. Usually baby cots fit in any room in the world. The breakfast was very good, though!

My group consisted of 3 couples (large age range). Everyone enjoyed the stay. Rooms were a good size, clean and had nice bathrooms. Hotel was clean and quiet despite construction work. Being located just off the beaten path in Verona provided us with a quiet setting, but closeness to the sites and activites of the town. Hotel gave great recommnedations for restaurants close to the property and provided their own very nice breakfast.

Very good breakfast, fresh fruits. Hotel personal is very kind and is of good advice. Nevertheless, one negative point is that they were building new rooms during our stay, so no possibility to sleep after 9:00am because of much noise. Overall good stay, 10 minutes walking to city center, a bit noisy.

Our room was not clean. The hot water didn't work, I tried to talk to the receptionist, but he only pretend to speak english, said that he'll fix it in 5 minutes, but ofcourse it still didn't work. The bed is horrible and the sheets didn't feel clean. The whole hotel was dusty from renovation. Location is pretty central, but for the price I paid, I think I at least deserved hot water! Breakfast is great, but that couldn't make up the service they gave me. I would NEVER come back to this place again.
