877-662-6988The property used to be the elegant residence of an Austrian aristocratic family, the Reichenbachs and was then transformed into a hotel.
This historic property was totally renovated in 1993, and is now a modern fully air conditioned building, that maintains its historic charm and is enriched with an important art collection.
In the hall, in the rooms and in the inner garden, guests can admire paintings and sculptures of famous artists like Ciardi, Cascella, Purificato, Murer, Arnoldi.

Very good hotel. I had not realised no meals other than breakfast served in hotel but no problem as many local restaurants to choose from

Very much enjoyed our stay. Minor prob with bathroom design. Sink very large so shower a bit too small - if you turned you shut off water!! to close door it hit sink. Lighting good and main room lovely. Perfect location for Arena etc. Staff excellent. Were delivered champagne and canapes on our Wedding Anniversary free of charge. Lovely touch.

The hotel was very nice and the breakfast area and breakfast offered were very nice. It is a very good thing that the hotel has bicycles out front to check-out to the guests. It made a great way to quickly get downtown and see a lot of Verona without wearing out your legs walking so much. The hotel room was rather small, but not that different from most other Italian hotel rooms, just something to be aware of. This hotel's location to downtown Verona and the train station make it a nice location to be a base for day-trips in northern Italy.

Beautiful old hotel in the heart of Verona. Offered free bicycles to explore city. Staff excellent, rooms spacious for Italy. Breakfasts excellent. Even given an umbrella when we checked out the hotel in the torrential rain! Would definately recommend to anyone travelling to Verona.

This is genuinely a 4 star hotel in an excellent location, close to the historical section of the city. Excellent services including a full breakfast. The women at the front desk were professional but not at all welcoming, in contrast to the men serving in the same capacity. The balance of staff members were attentive and friendly.

Easy walk to train station and not much farther from hotel to historic center. The hotel was OK, nothing to really brag. I have no big complaints. The rooms are small and the staff is a little indifferent. I liked the location a lot but there are a few other hotels in the area I think I'd try next time.

A nice hotel; very central; good parking facilities Problems: -Even though the opera festival was on, there was no possibility to get a shirt ironed or even just borrow an iron at 8pm. -The room was hardly bigger than the bed.

This is as good a mid range hotel as anyone should ever need.... superb location(but don't try to walk from the station with baggage...like we did!) superb look and great reception area. We stayed in the back of the hotel and it was really quiet...I imagine that the front side would not be so. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.

I travelled with my partner. Grand Hotel was a lovely hotel and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The guy serving breakfast was really nice and funny too. The breakfast was excellent and the coffee great. The bar was good and it was full of lots of interesting artwork. The hotel room was very comfortable and the beds ensured a good night's sleep. The staff found out it was my partner's birthday and left her a present nicely wrapped on her bed. A really lovely touch. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Got a good rate during low season, only 75 Euros for a good 4* hotel. Within walking distance to Piazza Bra. Great value for money.

Some of the staff seemed to be rude and really didn't seem to care. At other times the staff seemed to be so busy they seemed to not be able to handle things even though the hotel seemed to be empty. The room we were in was clean and pretty spacious except it was missing some little things that bigger hotels would not have over looked. Things like accessible wall plugs, note pads and pens, and slipper(important since it was hardwood floors) were no where to be found.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Verona and regret we didn't allow ourselves enough time for our visit. The hotel and its staff were far and away the best we visited during our 6 weeks in Europe. We base this testement on many levels and can say that all establishments we booked were classified in the 3-4 star range. We would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone the level of service and staff assistance we received. Thanks & Regards; John Landy & Janine Lindqvist

The standard of the hotel was first class. Form the moment we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome. The suite we booked was very spacious and had some superb finishing touches. The staff were also very informative and recommended to us some of the best restaurants Verona has to offer; this is a challenge because when it comes to gastronomy, Verona is the most consistent in the world. The absolute highlight of our stay was the opera Aida. All together we had a very special time in Verona and the Grand Hotel was just perfect.

This is an excellent hotel for anyone visiting the arena opera , It is only a short walk to and from the Arena and the centre of town. It is also easy to find if driving to Verona. We have used it on two seperate visits to Verona and we would be happy to use again when we plan to return in two years.

The Grand Hotel is a very well-run hotel in the center of Verona a 5 minute walk from the central plaza and the Roman arena. The rooms were large, clean, and modern. The free breakfast was very good, better than most hotels we stayed at. This hotel is good for tourists, but also good for business people.

Good clean room. A little on the small side .A short walk to the arena. An attentive staff will be on hand .Parking near-by.The balcony rooms face the main street. Not much to see . For more quiet ask for a room facing the garden.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. We booked 3 rooms, 2 double and 1 twin. The 2 doubles were a resonalby size but the twin was very small. We did find the hotel was overpriced for what it was. Though it was in a good location with paid parking out the front.

Everything was wonderful!! They were very courteous! Helped with directions from Trento. Made reservations for dinner in local restaurant w/directions and lent us umbrellas because it was raining. Had a wake-up call, taxi waiting at exact time we needed to go to airport(in very early hour of morning). Had breakfast prepared for each of us to take with us because the restaurant in hotel wasn't open yet. And if you need anything before you stay in Verona(at their hotel)-just e-mail them and they will help you with anything. I recommend you try this hotel. It is beautiful with beautiful people that work there.

The hotel was generally very good, perfectly situated for sightseeing and opera. It was comfortable and surprisingly quite; the breakfast was excellent. The room was the minimum size but there was a spacious balcony. It was expensive, in line with other hotels in central Verona.

The accomodations were great, my only regret was that the beds were hard. I would like to see more comfortable beds on my next visit. The service and staff were great, and the morning breakfast was wonderful. It's nice that the hotel isn't a huge anonymous building with too many guests. I really appreciated having email access on a daily basis, I was able to email friends and family on our vacation experiences.

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is central and although expensive, meets the four star rating that I assume drives the price. I would have appreciated much better directions to find it. We missed it completely first time and then struggled to recover via the one way system. Also the car parking facilities should be more clearly outlined. Using the underground park is expensive, if convenient. The only criticism I'd have about the room is that there was nowhere to put an empty case and for four stars I'd expect better.

A very short stay (just one night) but the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The one downside is that whilst the Corsa Nuova is a busy road, it was still quiet when I walked back on my own from the Arena - which made me very nervous.

The staff were very helpful & professional & the hotel was nice although lacked any real social area. The bar area was small, mainly un-used & lacked atmosphere. The hotel was situated on the main road into town. The road itself was not great but very accessible to all areas & the main area around the arena. Rooms clean & bright & large - overall 8/10.
