I can suggest two things to the hotel manager: a 4 star hotel should be provided of a free internet connection; it should be considered as a commodity on 2012 especially in this kind of hotel. Breakfast wasn't rich. I cannot say poor, but for sure not various. It is sad to take a cappuccino from a machine and find that coffee is't real coffee (or is a low quality one). No fruit salad, nor even fruit. Not really a 4 star service. Television was a bit...well it switched on automatically in the middle of the night, so I had to switch it off completely. And (IMHO this is really bad) insonorization was poor. For the rest it was a nice place, very confortable to reach BUT you have to consider a 72 euro additional cost if you want to reach it by car (and don't tell me WHO WANT TO GO TO VENICE BY CAR...)

I had a nice single-room.The hotel was o.k.,but the breakfast was very simple and monotonous. One sort of bread, cheese and ham (every day the same).Half the week the air-climate does not work.

We stayed there from 16th to 19th of May 2011 Our room was very nice and clean, with an excellent bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpfull exept at the welcome day. Bus to the boat pier every 20 min. in front of the hotel. Connection to venice-city good until midnight. Breakfest was ok., bettter than other italien hotels. We will visit this hotel again whilst our next stay.

Nice hotel: clean, quite, large room, good service. Hotel is not far from the center of the Lido (10min bus) and not far from Venice (10min bus + 10min Vaporetto). One suggestion for improvement: breakfast is good, but could be more elaborated. All in all, very good value for price, and we had an excellent relaxing stay. Thank you !

I'm not an advitiser, but a student in Frace. However, I definitely recommend this nice hotel! We were arriving at the end of October and spent 2 nights there, event didnt wanna leave. Location on Lido, a little bit far from the Venice island, but it's ok by boat and worth staying. Very nice and tidy rooms, good service quality. Out of the windows is the sea, so great! I have to mention the TV which made us supprised :) Nice breakfast too. Wanna stay there again!

Overall, our stay was good, but mixed. The breakfast is great, the hotel very pretty, as are the grounds. However, there is a charge that is unadvertised for credit cards (1.5%), so we paid in cash when we got there. Additionally, it was difficult to get to--we spent a lot of time on the bus because the A bus actually goes 2 directions. One towards the hotel on a circuit, the other on a different circuit. Ask the driver when you get off the vaparetto. Also, we requested a double and got 2 twin beds the first night. Finally, 2 of the 3 receptionists had an unwelcoming attitude. The room and accommodations were good, so we would return.

They can be more friendly! Breakfast is poor, you have to ask for everything and mostly you will not get it,but you enjoy breakfast anyway because of the lovely terrace. Rooms are small, shower even smaller, but if you have a balcony with view on the Laguna, the air and noises of birds and boats during the night is just radiant and leaves the hectic of the city behind you. Thats why I like this hotel most!

The welcoming at 11 p.m. by a colleague was fine, but in the room the refrigerator and the remote control of the tv didn´t function. But on the next day the contact with some other colleagues (maybe the owners) weren´t so nice.

The Hotel is very nice but the shower was absolutly awfull, it was small and uncomftable, it was a nightmare to have a shower. The Hotel is far from the boat station, we had to take the bus all the time. It's not very pratical. Otherwise it was a nice stay. Very good breakfast and a VERY strong coffee to keep you awake the all day

this place may have been reasonable by venice standards, but the hotel was very difficult to get to with luggage. the room was tiny, but comfortable enough. the breakfast needs italian coffee...not instant . by the way, americans don't drink that junk. the staff was never friendly, but that seems to be an italian business trait-serious means professional-after three weeks in italy, this was our most disappointing place to stay. not bad, but not great either. a warm smaile would have helped.

The hotel is decorated very nice and the view outside is beautiful. It's just a little far from Venice, we take 40min for boat and extra 10min for bus and finally arrived. The staff of the hotel is OK, but not very competent. BTW, there is no restaurant nearby, we had to go to the center of Lido to get some food for dinner on the day we arrived. A little bit unconvenient. One more point, if you pay in credit card they will ask for 1.5% more for processing fee. Think unfair.

We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Buon Pesce, the room offered a wonderful view over the lagune and even the Alps one morning. The bed was comfortable and the furniture quite adequate. The bathroom was a little too small though, but everything was in good condition. The service was excellent and the location of the hotel was ideal, right in front of a bus stop. The breakfast was consistent enough for a British or Central European stomach. Our sole regret is that the coffee was not up to the quality generally expected in Italy. We fully recommend this hotel and we certainly wouldn't find a better one for that price.

Few "public" areas. Hotel is very isolated on the north part of "Lido" which is an island half an hour navigation from Venice. If you travel with public means it takes 20 minutes by bus from the ferry boat pier to the hotel. Lido is a beautiful island, with nice golf courses and with some very good restaurants, but always mind the timetable of ferry boats to reach Venice and/or the park "Tronchetto" (the main park of Venice): you may wait 30 minuts or more for the next one and it then takes approx. 30 minutes to reach Venice.

Welcome by the reception was very poor. Checking in and out with an infant, no concierge service even offered. Room number 13 was really very small. As advertised a/c was not switched on. And the weather was warm with no fan provided in the room. When asked the reception about a/c, the reply was that she was feeling cold and was wearing a sweater inside. And wanted us to feel the same as her.

From our welcome to our departure we were treated with courtesy and friendliness. We were even given a free Water Taxi to take us to Murano. The location was perfect for us, and being quite frequent visitors to Venice we found no difficulty in accessing either the Lido or Venice, and the view from the front of the hotel is great. The hotel grounds are quiet and shady, great for chilling in the afternoon heat. Our room was more than adequately sized with a comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was of a very high quality with a good variety of food, and the good weather made it a pleasure to eat 'al fresco'. Staff were all very good but the lady receptionist who was there most frequently was a perfect hostess. It was very good value for money and If we get a chance to return we will.

I definitely recommend this hotel as it is very reasonably priced, location is so beautiful, and both Venice and Lido beaches are very easy accessible. Room was small but nice, garden is very nice, breakfast was fine except awful instant coffee. It's shame on hotel management to offer instant coffee in 3 stars hotel in Italy- country of perfect coffee. So if you avoid coffee all the rest is very nice:)

Great hotel! The busstop is just accross the road and buses come every 10 minutes. Nice rooms and where spacious enough. The continental breakfast was very nice and the breakfast room is lovely. The only negative thing I can say about the hotel is that the rooms can be quite noisy! When the people in the room next to you are getting up at 6 am it's not very pleasant to get woken up by their hairdryers!!! But other then that I would certainly recommend this hotel if you would like to stay on Lido.

It was our first time there. We picked it based on the reviews here. While not great, we can recommend this place for those who doesn't like to stay in the middle of the tourist central. Luckly the buses comes and goes every 10 min or so but after 8:30 or so it became infrequent. We just walked alone the water at night and it's not so bad and can be romantic :) It does offer a clean and decent place to stay and reasonably priced. Our phone was semi broken and the staff was not able to replace/fix during our stay.

The Hotel is at least at 20 minute walk from the main ferry station, or a 5 minute bus ride (ticket included with any Venice day pass), and well worth the distance. Delicious breakfast spread, comfortable beds, ample size rooms by Venice standards, some rooms with lagoon view. It was a little hard to find staff at the front desk in the evenings to get or leave keys. Reserve hotel bicycles early!

The hotel is small, but very nice and romantic, the staff was very friendly and let us leave our baggage after check-out for a whole day for free. The only disadvantage was it's location, you have to take a bus after arriving on Lido to get there, otherwise you have to go about 20 min by foot.

The room was a bit noisy because of the boats and the walls are not isolating noise enough. The reception and indications are good, and the lady at the lobby is really nice. The rooms a little but if you take one with sea-view, it's beautiful. The breakfeast is good and well served with a lot of choice. A bus is coming every 10 minutes in front of the hotel, and drive you to the Lido boat station in 5 minutes.

This lively place at Lido must be the choice for the 2nd trip. We two enjoyed a very good time there. The lady at the reception was of great help, and the breakfast was good. I enjoyed the hotel. Coming from Canada, we found Italian weather in May warm. We would have liked air conditioning, but it did not work, so we opened the window, meaning every bus and boat that went by was heard. The breakfast was very satisfying. The only warning is that you should not take their recommendation for a restaurant in Lido, unless you want to buy an expensive meal that will not be the highlight of your trip. Beware when a hotel wants to phone ahead and make you a reservation at a restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay at this Buon Pesce Hotel. It is quite far fom the Lido Water taxi and would be helpful if the hotel would let guests know on their website that if they purchase a 24/72hr ticket the price of the bus is included to the hotel.(The last Stop.) We found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. The breakfast in the hotel was the best meal of the day. (We ate out for the rest of the day) We would have like to have a lounge downstairs for guests but it was not a priority and a cafe/bar facility would have been convenient. The view going into Venice is Amazing but it is a good 40 minutes away. Many thanks to all: Iris Sothern.

This was a lovely hotel and although on Lido and a 20min walk / 5 min bus to the ferry, we didn't find it a problem getting into the main centre at times that suited us. Lovely staff who were very helpful and friendly. The room itself was of a good size with a small balcony that looked out over the water towards the main islands. The bathroom however was very tiny and inset into the room with no ventilation or room to turn around. Overall, a lovely hotel though.
