I had a wonderful time staying at the Tivoli Hotel. The staff were charming and helpful and the Hotel is very easy to access by the fast Vaporetto (number 2) from the railway station, or by foot from the bus station. I wish I had a permanent reservation!

I booked the small single with shared facilities - the hotel quoted the size of room so I knew it was small but I liked the area the Hotel was in. To my surprise I actually got a sink as well - as for the shared facilities I never saw anyone use them beside myself -I really liked my stay here - they have a small outdoor garden where you can have breakfast and its near the San Toma stop as well as having lots of restaurants near. Ideal spot. The room and bathroom facilities may have been small but were more than offset by the price I paid which was very reasonable for Venice. Would happily stay here again.

Great location! Rooms are small, but as expected. Venice is so expensive, a place like this is THE way to go, particularly if you are traveling solo and/or do not mind sharing a bathroom. Some would consider the rooms noisy, but it's venice: it's noisy! So are most cities, and since you're really right at street/alley level, you will hear things if you're a light sleeper. I live in a big city so I sleep with he windows open. The room was tiny, but so well-located I did not mind. You're in Venice: you're not gonna spend a lot of time in the hotel room.

Our feelings about the hotel were negatively affected by several strong staff recommendations for a restaurant that proved substandard. Someone's brother-in-law was owner?

I was for the first time at this hotel, my room was a bit small but livable for my necessities. Having shared bathroom I would recommend it for short stays and if you basically need a quiet and central place to sleep while in Venice. If you go for that, this hotel is really a good value, due to its very central position. The staff is very kind and welcoming.

Perhaps this is the typical Venetian hotel... The walls are very thin. We could hear a guy snoring next door and the street noise made for sleepless nights. The breakfast was sad. The shower was pitiful. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in (out of Milan, Verona, Venice, Florence and Rome) so I had higher expectations. The staff was nice and the location is good. But I would not recommend the hotel, unfortunately.

Friendly welcome, staff speaking English, very helpfull although there was no hairdryer in the room as indicated on the Hotel Website, it was no problem to get one borrowed. Shared bathroom very clean, nice Patio, quiet but ideally located (Close to railway Station, vaporetto and 15 minutes walking distance to Academmia, Rialto. To explore Venice centre (San Marco etc)one does not necessarily need an ACTV ticket. Breakfast buffet ok for a 2 star Hotel, has permanently been refilled by a friendly service Lady. Nice Restaurants and bars just around the corner as well as Campo S. Margarita with ist Cafés and bars. Ideally for a short stay in this beautiful town.

Overall a very pleasant stay. The single room I had was quite small but everything I expected for Venice. The room overlooked the courtyard which made for a beautiful view. The hotel is located right in the centre of Venice, close to everything. The only thing I could pick wrong was the size of the shared bathroom, it was very hard to move around inside. I would definitely recommend the hotel and I would stay there again.

This is a really great value hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms were spacious and clean, with friendly staff and an adequate breakfast - exactly what you would expect from the price. We had the top attic room which has a small balcony on the roof. There was an air conditioning unit in the room but we didn't need to use it given the time of year. The only criticism was the ineffectual hairdryer in the bathroom, bring your own. I'd certainly recommend it given the location and the price.

Value for money is ok. Breakfast is included, but they only serve it between 8.30 and 9.30, which I found most unusual and restrictive. Rooms have air-con, tv and wi-fi. Loccation is ok if you are arriving to or leaving from piazzale roma, just about ten min. walk. When checking out I had to stand rudeness and bad manners from the guy at reception as goodbye compliment. All I wanted was to pay and leave, but that seemed to be a terrible problem for him.

Great find and great value! Sadly, they only had availability for 1 night so we had to switch hotels but this was very close to the main attractions and easy to get to. Staff was friendly - even when we missed our check out time by over an hour! Would have stayed more nights if only they had the availability. Highly recommended, especially for the price (breakfast was included!) where Venice is usually much more expensive.

The hotel Tivoli is a good one in Venice - may be not the best but still nice. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, the room was clean and pretty quiet. A good location in a quiet side street well within walking distance of major sites and easy access from the nearest waterbus. The hotel is quite similar what you would get for the same amount of money in central London, i.e. not very big, paper-thin walls and quite a dull breakfast (did however include boiled eggs, yoghurt and müesli, and as long as I have them I am ok). Saying that, it is easy to find from the train and bus stations, and only a 15-minute walk from there. Finding Rialto and San Marco is also quite easy, and it's only five minutes from a vaporetto (water bus) stop. One of the things I appreciated the most was the free wifi - good speed, although not perfect signal in my room.

On the web page heating was indicated. We stayed at HTL from 14.10.-18.10.09, outside temperature during night about 6 degrees and heating worked only in the bathroom for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. We were freezing. Reception personal explained that heating is controlled by government and they just offered another blanked, nothing else like radiator. This was really poor. Special hint for heating should be indicated on web page that there is a heating but will only work according to government regulations and is not under customers control.

Everything was fine, good location, room very small but nice and clean, very nice courtyard where you have breakfast or sit during the day. The big problem with my room (no 12) was the noise. The windows are above the kitchen of a restaurant with constant noise during the day. The small street in front of the hotel was under construction and therefore covered with wooden planks, so you could hear every single step...

While there in the "off season" it was still busy in Venice - especially noticeable since the walkway under our window was covered in a temporary boardwalk and the tromping of visitors was extremely audible. The hotel had nothing to do with this, though, and earplugs were the only answer. The other problem for me was that I asked for extra pillows when we came home from dinner and was told I'd have to wait until tomorrow for the house staff to give them to me - other hotel's desk staff just quickly popped open the storeroom and got them out for me. For some reason that left a bad taste in my mouth - what was the problem with getting them? Other than that, the room was lovely, minus the noise, and the amenities well provided.

The hotel is located in an excellent area in Dorsoduro. Near a vaporetto station and very near campo Santa Margherita (our favorite area). Apart from the fact that there was NO heating during the last weeks of October (very bad), we were generally pleased with the hotel. A bit expensive for 130e but very central. Breakfast also very good. I would stay there again.

Hotel Tivoli was the perfect location for first time arrivals into Venice, not far from where the airport bus leaves you at the Piazzale Roma, easy to find, close to resonably priced Venician restaurants and walking distance to the Rialto Bridge, Scuola di San Rocco, and the university area of Ca'Foscari. It was very clean with a lovely court yard area where you could rest from the throng of the laneways.

Hotel location is not difficult to find and face. However pretty far from San Marco but not that difficult to go & back. Room condition is quite OK especially on Reception Service. It is exceeded my enpectation overall anyway. But not much Breakfast for me... T_T.

Tivoli is good value, pay cash for a discount. The staff are very helpful.Don't eat or buy near St. Mark's,always haggle and always count your change. We stayed 13 days in Italy and the breakfast in the Hotels was the same.

The room was big but the shower was a hole in the bathroom! So when you used it the floor (very small) was like a swimming pool. It was located in a nice street (in the touristic way to rialto) and the neighbourhood was nice. The hotel was comfortable, the staff was kind and the breakfast was good.

For the price it is a nice hotel specially very clean. I would recommend it to my friends. The only negative issue was in setting up the shower's temperature (it changed the whole time) plus the room in the shower was tiny.

The folks from Tivoli responded to my confirmation email, and had a very nice lady upfront the day I got there. She gave us weather report for next couple of days! Bathroom could have been bigger as everything was cramped in a room, but I suppose that is what you pay for in Venice. Good stay overall.

For what your paying you couldn't ask for more. Super clean rooms, a nice breakfast and the staff and owners were delightful and accommodating ie. calling for dinner reservation and lending me additional guide books. The location, 3 blocks from the vaperetto stop is ideal. The neighborhood is charming and far from the maddening crowds of San Marco.

This hotel is not a five star hotel, more like a two star and my ratings are based on what I expected to get for a $135 Euro quad room. The ratings are are high because we were pleasantly suprised. We found Tivoli to be a delight and one of the few places where we were able to locate a quad room. It was also one of the cheaper (if not the cheapest)we were able to find. It was not a large room but very adequate to catch a few winks and a shower plus the entire hotel had a definite old European flavor which was charming. We did not find the absence of an elevator much of an inconvenience (we were on the third floor) but after slepping our bags from the airport to Plaza Roma and on the waterbus--what's a couple stairs. We were greeted by name as we entered the door and enjoyed the breakfast in a cute little area with old beam ceilings where every room has their own table. The courtyard was nice also although we didn't have time to spend there. The folks at the desk spoke great English and steered us to a great place to eat only a few steps down the street that was very reasonable. In spite of some comments I read on various blogs, they gladly took my VISA card. Because many others had commented about difficulty finding Tivoli, I did my homework with the street maps before I got to Venice and we walked from the San Toma waterbus stop to the hotel without a misstep. If you are looking for a place on the canal with all the high priced hotel amenities then this is not the place for you, but I would higly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a fun little place to stay for a VERY reasonable price. We will DEFINITELY return if we ever go back to Venice.

Easy to find in Venice, well located, very clean, nice staff, good breakfast, quiet, beautiful patio, internet point very close, walkable distance from tourist areas. I paid for a single room, bathroom was small but good enough. Included ac and blow dryer. Closet very small. Great hotel over all!

Venice is really a maze, especially in night. Tivoli is a very friendly hotel with warmful decorations. My boyfriend think it's a little old, but I think it makes Tivoli more like home. The door of the washroom sometimes makes some noise itself. Anyway, quality of Tivoli is very excellent according to the price. If I can go to venice again, I will sure choose Tivoli again.

Seems a little expenisive for a 2* hotel, but it is worth the price. Room was a good size with an en-suite bathroom. TV incl in room. Breakfast was ok, a buffet with choices of yogs, cereals bread and croissants. about 10-15mins wal to the grand canal, only taking so long because of winding streets typical of venice! :)

Excellent property. Great location, price, and very helpful staff. We had an early morning departure and was setup with a wakeup call and came to our room to make sure we were up to make our train. Will recommend to our friends and would stay again.
