We stayed for our honeymoom in September. Unfortunately the mosquitos got us by day 4. No mosquito defences in the hotel!! Went home with 23 visible moquito bites. Take your own mosquito stuff.

we wanted to pay with credit-card. The reception requested a pin-code. According to our bank, a pin-code is not needed in Italy. We had no other choice than to pay cash, which caused some discussions.

Ideal location, easy to walk to the various parts of the city. Using the written directions from the hotel, we had no problem finding it upon arrival in Venice. We had booked two nights and when we decided we'd like to stay another night, the staff at the hotel helped to find us another nice location, since our room was unavailable for the third night.

We had understood that it was difficult to get around Venice. However, the map provided by the hotel was very good and we did not have any trouble finding it. Unfortunately, they had overbooked our room, which meant they put us in an apartment about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Having owned a 10-room bed and breakfast for 11 years in the states, we were not pleased with this - never having double booked a room ourselves. They upgraded our room, but we were unable to get in until noon the next day, which put a hold on our touring. The suite they gave us, though lovely, did not have any windows, which was not to our liking. In fairness, the facility is quite lovely, with a nice courtyard with flowers everywhere. The breakfast was fine, typical. The staff were certainly pleasant and most apologetic for the inconvenience. The hotel is out a ways, which we knew, but we had bought a ferry ticket good for the three days we were in Venice. You simply get on and off where you wish to go. There certainly were nice areas near the hotel to wonder through and our first night we were directed to a very good restaurant near the apartment. We were also given a lovely photography book of Venice by the staff as an apology for our inconvenience.

I would recommend Locanda La Corte highly. The staff were extremely helpful, breakfast was good, and the room was spotless. The hotel was near to the Ft.Nove stop which was perfect for catching a boat for a day trip to Murano.

One little drawback: in room 112 there are no curtains at the bathroom window, so, when the light is on there is a view from outside at night

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very large and beautifully decorated. Our room overlooked one of many canals in Venice. It was picturesque watching the gondalas with couples float by our window. The pictures on their website do not do them justice! They also had internet access availabe to guests. The only thing odd was that you had to leave your room key when you left the hotel for the day at the desk, but I guess they didn't want there keys ending up at the bottom of the canal while you are sightseeing! The front desk tried to be helpful, and even gave us a somewhat useful map of Venice. Nice place. Would definitley stay here again.

My comments apply to Atributetomusuc hotel NOT lacondalacorte. A few weeks before we were due to stay at Laconda La Corte they asked us by e-mail to confirm the reservation - which is a good idea. A week or so later Laconda La Corte wrote and said they had a problem and some rooms were closed and had arranged for us to go to "Atributetomusic for the same cost." We were pleased they had taken the trouble to do this. At first we were a liitle anxious as it did not look quite as nice as La conda La Corte on the web site. Atributetomusic was wonderful. The rooms were newly refurbished to a very high standard, the location was superb - the front rooms over looking the lagoon and the staff were very helpful over the booking and made us feel very welcome. There is no bar or breakfast room - which was not a problem for us - we had breakfast at a restuarant next door. The excellent location - very near to the waterbus stop was much appreciated and our group of 7 friends really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful city of Venice.

This was an excellent Locanda and made the celebration of our wedding anniversary very special fo my wife and me. The staff was fiendly and helpful and spoke English that was far too good - I wanted to practise my Italian! The room was spacious and very warm, and the facilities were clean comfortable and very tasteful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Locanda to friends and hope to return.

Too bad that there were some refuses (washing machine,...) on the opposite quay of the hotel. It has wasted the charm of the city of Venice. It's with a natural orange juice for breakfast and not a chemical one.

This family operated hotel is absolutely charming!!! All family/staff/employees were incredibly helpful - and the son - went way over and above the call of duty by assisting us in carrying our luggage two blocks through eight inches of water when the canals flooded the streets. Absolutely would recommend this hotel to everyone and will return to Laconda La Corte when we return to Venice. This hotel definitely made our trip to Venice an experience we will never forget. The most charming and character-filled hotel we have ever stayed in.

A great stay. The hotel even provides Wellingtons for when the flooding gets too bad. The only slight complaint was we were offered a free visit to a glass factory with free transport but we had to pay our own fares back on public transport . I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anybody.

A lovely Locanda for the price. Very professional staff on reception, and the courtyard for breakfast was a real bonus - very attractive and relaxing. Although a little further out from the main attractions, everything was within an easy walk.

The hotel was nice and in a good area of Venice. The quad room was cramped and the bathroom was very cramped. One could barely turn around in the shower. The appearance of the hotel and room were good.

Lovely place in an excellent location. The directions given on the hotel's website were very useful; taking the Alilaguna water bus direct from the airport to Fondamente Nove is much better than what we did on arrival, which was the regular bus to P. Roma then the vaporetto to Fond.Nove. We learnt this for our return to the airport.

The staff were very friendly. The location was good -- 10 minutes to San Marco or Rialto, but not a touristy area. Very quiet. Breakfast was the same every day -- some variety would be nice.

We really enjoyed our short stay at this lovely hotel. The room was large, clean, comfortable and very well furnished. A very good and filling breakfast and in an excellent location. However, beware the incorrect position as shown on the area map; the hotel can be found easily by following the hospital (ospedale) signs from the main square.

For once a hotel that gives you what it says it will. Whilst this hotel is not in the flashier parts of town it is a very short walk from all the major sites of interest. Easy to get to and a warm welcome led to a very relaxing and peaceful long weekend. In winter the courtyard is not used for dining. Understandably as it get quite chilly in Venice in the winter but it still give the hotel a very nice ambience. We visted in November which is probably one of the best months to see Venice (small crowds, no queuing, refreshing weather) Because of this there is not much other choice to sit and chill (no pun intended)other than in your room. The room we had was well appointed, neat and tidy although a tad small(most hotel rooms in Venice seem to be like this due to being in 4-500 year old buildings unless you pay a fortune). I fully intend to return to this hotel in the future. It was very good value for money. M PS The hotel only does B&B but there is a nice (reasonably priced) pizza, pasta and salad bar/restaurant called Alla Strega (??spelling) about 5 minutes walk along Barbaria de le Tole off Campo San Giovanni e Paolo.

This is a very nice hotel indeed. Its location is quiet (no noise of large tourist groups passing by) but central, only 7 minutes walk from Piazza St. Marco. The rooms are beautifully decorated in venetian style. The only negative thing about the hotel is the breakfast which only consists of tea/coffe, terrible artifical tasting juice and white rolls and müsli. On the other hand it has a wonderful courtyard where you can have your breakfast outside.

Nice little hotel near the center of venice. Less then 10 minutes away from St.Marco and Realto. The relation between price and quality is very good. It's a good choice for a long weekend in venice.

A delightful hotel, a peaceful retreat from the bustle of Carnivale. The spacious rooms have been refurbished in true Venetian style, adding flair to comfort. The courtyard will be lovely to sit in when the weather is warmer. The staff are very friendly, but don't always get everything quite right! Close enough to St Marks and the Rialto for comfort, but far enough away to fit the budget. However, you will need a good map to find it.
