Really cozy and cute hotel. Small quantity of rooms (about 10) provides calmness and quietness. Staff speaks english well and always ready to explain everything useful for a traveler (where to catch public transport, how to find a nice place to eat, etc). The hotel is situated on Lido island, so you will need to buy a ticket on social boat to get to Venice. Additional to nice room I had a big balcony woth great view and a cute garden in the hotel's yard.

The hotel was old and the tv and fridge did not work. It was in a charming part of Lido Isle but was somewhat rundown. The directions to the hotel were quite confusing and mis-stated. I would stay on the island again but WOULD NOT recommed or stay at this B & B.

The hotel is easy to find. You walk 15 minutes from the vaporetti to the hotel, but you also could use a bus. The hotel needs some renovations, but my room was nice and clean, very high and big and I had a beautiful sight from second floor to the sea. The breakfast wasn`t great, but you can take it in the garden. It was my first time in Villa Parco, may be I´ll come back. You can park the car very safe, but you have to go by the ferry. It´s a wonderful sight to Venice by arriving and leaving! I don´t know, if I come back to Venice by train, if I would go so far away from Ferrovia, but you can leave your luggage there, as long as you want.

The bathrooms cannot be clean enough because everything is very old. Those who stay in Venice just for a few days, the hotel is situated too far. Not a big choice of restaurants around.

Having read some of the negative comments, I feel prompted to totally disagree. If you don't like fading grandeur, what are you doing visiting Venice? Normally we stay near San Marco but for financial reasons looked for a cheaper alternative. We got 5 nights accommodation at Hotel Villa Parco for the price of one in San Marco. So the wardrobe door wasn't the easiest to open and the drawers stuck a bit. Who cares. We were there to enjoy Venice for every minute of each day and all we wanted was a comfortable bed and a good shower and we certainly got these. We went in late January when it was very cold but the large high ceilinged bedroom was exceptionally warm, bordering on too warm. The bathroom was also extremely warm. There were plenty of clean fluffy towels and the bed was large and very comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was very quiet. As my husband has mobility problems, I asked for a room near the ground floor and we were given a ground floor room which was ideal. We only ate breakfast in the hotel once because we like to go out early but the 5Euro buffet was excellent value per person with a good choice of pastries, pies, cheese etc. and would be far cheaper than eating at a local bar unless you just want one coffee and a croissant. The hotel is in a quiet residential district of Lido. It is a 15/20 minute walk from the Vaporetti boat stop on Lido but it is a pleasant flat walk and if you do not want to do it the buses pass every 10 minutes. Boats to all parts of Venice leave very frequently. All in all, wee had a wonderful holiday and would certainly return to Hotel Villa Parco and have no hesitation in recommending it.

We loved the Villa Parco as a beautiful XIX century example of architecture. What a beautiful building and the charm of old times. Of course, with it comes outdated bathrooms etc, but if you like the charm of sitting on the front porch on wicker chairs and enjoy the beautiful ceiling in the reception room.... this is it. And the price is right.

Villa Parco is an attractive venetian building with a lovely garden and verandah. The desk staff were all friendly and approachable. The room itself was very clean with a comfortable bed. However, several of the furnishing were faulty (e.g. leaky shower door, broken hinge on wardrobe) and irritating to use. The hotel is located near to a vaporetta stop (that links to the Marco Polo airport) and a number of recommendable restaurants.

The Room and its equipment was old, buts thats not the problem with our room. The main problem were the bedbugs in it. I can not recommend this hotel until the hotel management fix this problem. We had a lot of trouble to make sure that we not bring any bedbugs to our home.

This is a cozy place located in Lido. There is a bus stop 100m away with regular buses taking you to the boats stop in 3-4 minutes (you can also gete there on foot in 10-15 minutes). Lido is a bit far from the main attractions in Venice (San Marco etc.), around half an hour by boat. But the hotels has releatively clean rooms with helpful and friendly staff. This is no palace, but you get excellent value for what you pay. Also, the rooms are air conditioned and there is free internet.

Hopeless case as regards to Cleanliness. Dirty and sticky fitted carpets, there was an insect and a leaf on the stairs that remained there for the 2 days of my stay, the breakfast table cloth was stained and was left with bread crumbs. And the worse was a spider web sealing the table trash can and a strange smell in the room. Also the room need some general fixes such as the window and the shower door was difficult to close.

awful, not renovated since it was built, everything falling apart, conditioner does not work, bugs running around (also in bed), mushrooms on the ceiling, cracks on the walls, fridge didnt work, actually nothing worked, bed was composed of some parts and not level... definitely the worst hotel I have stayed at. Receptionist: "but what do you expect for 50 euro ?" I'd say adequate price for THIS would be around 15EUR, not more.

The staff were good. Quite hospitable. But the property was not that great. The outsides were not very clean. Internet is off now and then. Very old place. Doors needed to be shut more than once to make sure they are actually shut. Though I went during the new year weekend, the extra price that I paid for the peak season is not very justified. Basically, the place needs renovation and regular cleaning.

The hotel is a very nice "venetian" style building, and the surrondings are nice and quiet, our stay in Lido was for three days. We got there in our car and had the chance of visiting the island. Transportation to Venice is excellent if you buy a bonus for 48 hours, go back and forth at your wish.

Had a good stay but breakfasts were terrible. They charged 10 euro for a croissant and when I asked for a refund the guy got very defensive and argued with me stating that I should have known that before which is illogical. Other than that the location is beautiful. Room is a little small but you can probably get a good deal.

There were many nice things about the Villa Parco; rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was mostly helpful. A few things to beware of: if you want breakfast in the morning, you have to request it the night before. This was not mentioned to us when we checked in and resulted in us not getting breakfast our first morning. Also, while the room was comfortable, the furniture (wardrobe, desk etc) was of very poor quality. Wireless internet access was sketchy and unreliable throughout the hotel. The staff were generally helpful (apart from not letting us know about breakfast when we checked in).

We spent 2 nights in this hotel: is just a bit old-fashioned and dusty (because of the old moquette, I guess), but is great value for money. Rooms are nice, not small, with air conditioning, and the Hotel is in a great Location to reach Venice To summarize in a nutshell: I'm pretty sure will not find a better place for the same price in Venice (and even paying a bit more).

I stayed in this hotel last summer, that's why I chose it for our stay now (last year I booked Reiter Hotel and ended in Villa Parco because of some problems there). So, I guess my rating is for last year's stay. As for this year... here's what happened: They canceled our reservation because they tried to debit my credit card (and the transaction was denied by the bank) for the stay prior to my arrival, even though there was no specification of this in the booking confirmation mail. They didn't even bother to send me an e-mail to tell me that there are problems with my reservation. They just canceled it. It was very frustrating to arrive in Venice and find that you don't have where to stay. And now for the PROs: the manager (I guess?) started arguing with me that what he did was legitimate, but also offered to call other hotels and find us something at the same price *it was a very low price of only 32 EUR/night/double room (but, hey, they asked for this price). A lot of hotels refused such a low price. Finally, a much better hotel accepted the offer so we ended staying at the Reigel Hotel, a much better hotel, ended up having breakfast included and it was much closer to the vaporetto station. I guess we were really really lucky. All my respect to the hotel manager for finding this solution but I am still a little bothered for the lack of communication from him (not even trying to contact me and ask about the resevation, straight canceling it and letting me know only when I was face to face with him). Advice to all travelers, better double check with an e-mail to the hotel your reservation status a few days before your arrival.

To get there from Venice you first have to take the Vaporetto (ca. 45 min), and then, once on the Lido, the bus for another 5 - 10 min. If you only want to see Venice, this is the wrong choice; but if you want to relax after museums and churches and so on, it's perfect! The lido is quiet, beautiful and best of all: it has a beach! - You have to buy a Vaporetto ticket to get to and from Venice, and this is VERY expensive. The coffee at the hotel is awful; but apart from that the hotel was really really nice and I would highly recommend it.

We had no cover for the toilet cistern, which meant we had to put our hand in the water to push the flush, there was mould coming down form the walls, the wallpaper was falling off, the walls were cracekd, seriuosly in need of an update. The guy on reception in the morning, was very rude to other guests complaining about their rooms, clearly people complain all the time, but be warned, they will not give you your money back. We only need a bed for the night, it served its purpose, but I would never ever stay there again.

The hotel needs to put clear instructions on the website on how to reach the hotel. With baggage that place is not walkable. One needs to take the bus and ask for the Fontane de Quattro bus stop to get there. Lines A and B will take you to the hotel. The reception lady was courteous but did not speak English so I could not get instructions on how to reach the hotel. The room was spacious for 4 people but the bathroom was very congested especially the shower.

There is no elevator so pack lightly, the stairs are killers. It is just a short walk from the bus stop---which is only about 3 stops from the water taxi--we missed it and had to go around a second time, good thing it is a tiny island. Tell the bus driver when you get on where you want and ask him to let you know because it is longer to walk back from the stop just past the hotel. The continental breakfast is worth 5 Euros.

Venice hotels in general are expensive, but this one was reasonable in comparison. This hotel is located in a very residential neighborhood. To get there, you take a water taxi to Lido island and then take the A bus just two stops. From here you must have mapped and printed out the hotel's location, as the sign is very small and difficult to find. As long as you've planned your route, it takes only 10 minutes once you've gotten on the bus, or roughly 45 minutes if you include the water taxi from the train station (St.Lucia). The hotel grounds were beautiful (in June)(somewhat of a boutique hotel) and the room was comfortable, although tight for four people. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was extra so we did not partake. The neighborhood was very quiet. We were pleasantly surprised. There is NO wifi, although they do have a computer with internet access.

We had a room (smaller than expected) but with an owesome balcony (unexpected). The room was tidy with old furnitures and a televison (but only italian channels). From the balcony we had lovely view over the nearby channel. I think there are only 2 rooms with such a balcony. The hotel is situated 20 minutes walk from the valparetto-station and therefore quiet. Close to the hotel is the lido-coast directed to Venice. A walk to the other side of the lido (with the sand beach) takes just a view minutes. All in all: the hotel offers a calm flair for couples in love with low budget. I would book this hotel again. Comments to our rating: The welcoming was short, the man behind the reception loves his TV. The room was small. We did not use the public areas but it seemed okay. Near the hotel is just one restaurant, which is expensive. Close to the vaporetto station are restaurants, shops an a supermarket (Billa).

Please note that the hotel has no lift so if you have lots of heavy luggage you may have to carry it up LOTS of stairs. The breakfasts are quite good and the Lido is a nice place to stay. The hotel is a bit dated for my tastes but you may like the faded grandeur look. The place was reasonably clean but the hot water ran out quickly in the morning. Rated as 3* but I wouldn't give it more than 2*.

Villa Parco, like many hotels in Europe, is an old home. The rooms were a decent size, as was the bathroom. The morning breakfast was nothing fancy, but it was still delicious and got us started on the right foot for our day. My sisters and I enjoyed the hotel, as it was far from the bustle of Venice and the main streets of Lodi. The hotel is a bit of a trek from the vaporetti stop, but you can catch a bus that will take you south toward the hotel.

We picked the Carnival season for our trip to Venice and appreciated the accessibility of the hotel by car, the free parking, and the quietness of the place. The hotel is situated in a residential area and there are buses to the vaporetto station. Our room was spacious and pleasant, with very high ceilings and two large windows. It was the middle of the week, the hotel had just reopened for the Carnival season and we were probably the only guests. The receptionist was often absent, and we found nobody to serve us breakfast the first morning (we had not specified we wanted it, nor had anybody asked us...) So we made sure we ordered it for the following day ; however, even though a notice posted indicated it was served until 10 am, the receptionist called us as early as 8 am telling us the waitress was about to go and we had better hurry. We were soon after treated to a good breakfast, a well stocked tasty buffet...

First time stay on Lido instead of Venice direct and it was very relaxing, very friendly stuff, rooms okay, bath could be cleaner but was okay, breakfast is nothing special but okay too. Connection from Venice to Lido by Vaporetto and then Bus 3 stations was perfect. Would book it again.

location and atmosphere of the building are impressive and very good, such a shame the facilities need urgent maintenance: no room decoration, empty minibar, no internet access, the shower is a hoax: much too small, water remains in sink, fungal deposits all over, toilet seat falls off, carpets need to be replaced, walls to be painted. It is also the only hotel during our Italy trip which could not hand out a local map. Price of 95.- Euro per night (without breakfast) for a double room in such a bad condition is out of reality. Unfortunately we cold not find a free room in another hotel in Lido. It is a big shame how people can neglect such a nice building in such a pleasant surrounding. We will not return to this hotel.

We were quite pleased with the hotel and the price. We definitely felt that we were mislead on two things. The hotel said parking was included. The directions said to go to the tronchetto and take the Vaparetto 51 to the lido. We assumed that the trochetto parking fee would be covered. When we got to the hotel we found that we were supposed to put our car on the ferry and park it in their lot. It never occurred to us to take our car out. Also, there is no Internet Access as advertised.

We booked this hotel for three nights in September 07 based on other comments I read on the net. When we arrived we were shown a room for two people which was really disappointing. Pretty small, old and cheap furniture and a strange smell in the air. The bathroom was very tiny. After asking for an alternative we were shown a room which was a bit bigger, all the other things were as disappointing as with the first room. We told the manager that we did not want to stay and will look for an alternative on the Lido. He told us that he has to charge a penalty of one night. We agreed. Unfortunatelly we did not find an alternative the same day so we decided to stay the night and then leave the other day. Before leaving in the morning I paid the bill. Unfortunatelly I forgot to ask for a receipt which turned out to be a big mistake. Three days later, we were already at home, my wife discovered that in addition to our cash payment they also had charged her credit card. So the result was that we paid for two nights in a hotel where we would not even like to stay one night for free!! I have already sent two mails which were not answered by the hotel and made severeal calls. I do not expect to get my money back, problem is that I cannot prove the cash payment. If their accounting system works they would know that I paid in cash, unless an employee there has just put the money in his pocket which I don’t know. All in all it was a very disappointing experience and I cannot recommend this hotel to anybody. If you still decide to go there ask for a receipt for any kind of payment you make, otherwise you might be cheated. By the way, the distance to the vaporetto station is 10 minutes if you decide to run, walking distance is 20 minutes if you are good on your feet.

The room was correct but not specially beautiful. OK if you like the old furniture. The loction is not bad if you prefeer a quiet area and it is easy to get the vaporetto by foot (10 min.) to go to San Marco (10 more min.) Serious staff but professional. The price is not cheap because this is Venice.

There was no internet provided even though the reservation said it is included in the price. Also the check-in time of 11am as noted on the website is wrong - they told me I can check in after 3pm. This place is quite a distance from the Vaporetto stop, and going back and forth from the city center is not that convenient. The hotel itself was relatively clean and quiet.

I think that the manager only see the occasion to make so much money as he can in the summer time. We didn't stay the first night at villa parko because the hotel was full despite the confrimation of reservation we made with Venere. The mamager proposed us to stay for one night in another hotel (Reiter) of the group. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same standing. The hotel was situated in the main street without parking for the car, the rooms were old and the windows didn't close. The Tv was out of order, the furniture was old and broken. Noise of the street, no air conditionning (in august)... This Hotel was categorised as a 2 star, I don't know who gives the stars in Italy but I assure that it was max 1 star. If you read the other comments about Villa Parko you can see that it is a habit in this hotel to dispatch people in the other Hotel. So, the rates are attractive but it is a lie to venere and to the customer and not very fair from the manager. So don't do it.

At Villa Parco you get what you paid. Except the quietness of rooms - you can easily hear the next room conversations - there is nothing to disturb your harmony: excellent location, fair services, 15 min quality walk from the boat station.

Very nice quiet hotel, in a very pleasant surrounding, although it is a bit far from the best beach in Lido (about 10min. walk). Nice A/C rooms, clean bathroom with a shower. Only the breakfast was a small dissapointment- just croissants and bread and cheese and butter and jam, nothing else, for 5 EUR. If you get one of the two rooms with a large balcony, you won't be dissapointed.

The distance from the hotel to the vaporetto station isn't exactly a 10 minutes walk. They could have informed guests like us ahead of time that there is a bus available going to the hotel from the ferry station. One important thing to take note, the hotel don't have any lifts so you need to carry all your heavy luggage all the way up. No one was assigned to help you carry the luggage upstairs. Bathroom is ok as well as the supplies. Rooms are cleaned everyday. The front desk personnel isn't that approachable when we checked in on the morning of 15th June. However, the gentlemen assigned at the front desk when we checked out on the 17th June was quite helpful. Overall, minus the abovementioned hiccups it's still quite a comfortable accomodation to stay in Venezia.

Villa Parco is on the Lido in Venice and that is the big plus because of the quiet as compared to Venice proper. The staff was friendly but often not at the front desk. Breakfast was included in the price which helped because nothing else is close-by. The room was acceptable but rather small. I can recommend this hotel if all you are looking for is a place to sleep.

We stayed second time at hotel parco. In this weeks the main street is closed and all traffic (public bus) comes arround the hotel. So it is not so quietly as in normal times. The family room is very spaciously for 4 Persons. Breakfast is for Italy good and you can get it outside in the garden. 100€ for all 4 Persons /night is excellent.

The Villa Parco is a wonderful old building with a wide garden on the Lido. That's where you can let your car (which is great as they don't have many parking areas in Venice at all). The staff is friendly, the price was good for Venice. Sadly the windows are not very tight, so it was a bit noisy at night. But after all a nice place to stay.

This was our first trip to Venice and we booked Villa Parco in Lido as it was significantly cheaper than staying in main Venice. Lido is about a 10 minute boat trip from St Marks square, and it is a great location to stay if you are not looking for any great night-life. It's a beautiful island with a lovely beach, and it has loads of great restaurants in the town centre. You can also go directly back to the airport from there. Villa Parco itself was probably what i expected according to all the reviews. It's about a 15 minute walk from the town centre so not ideal if you have young children and are doing the trip a few times a day. There is also only 1 (pricey) restaurant close to the hotel that we knew of so you have no choice but to take the walk to town and back for dinner. The map given on the net is not sufficient enough to get you to the hotel. We ended up getting a taxi for the short trip as we were a bit confused on how to get there. Hotel is OK considering it's fairly cheap. The rooms are a little on the old side and a few things were in need of a 'do-up' but overall it was fine and our room was huge. I'd definitely recommend it to people on a budget if the location suited you. Housekeeping was also of a good standard, but the breakfast was rubbish (but what do you expect for 3 euro). If i went to Venice again, i'd definitely stay on Lido but may perhaps stay somewhere a little closer to the town centre, but that's just my personal preference.

We stayed for 3 days in the beginning of January. There was off season at the Lido and we suppose that is why everything was so quiet. It was our first time in Venice, so we cannot really compare with other hotels. We had a room in the second floor and it was fine. But first they offered us a room next to the reception which was much smaller. Fortunately at this time there were a lot of free rooms available. The breakfast room was extremely small, and it is hard to imagine how they serve breakfast to everybody during high season! We were quite surprised that during high season the same room costs 5 times as much, but that is probably quite normal for Venice.

I guess hotels in all of Venice and surrounding are expensive, and buildings old... I like new, or updated, clean rooms so that is why my rating for this hotel is not so great. Lido di venezia I found was a lot nicer place than venizia itself, (break from tourist crowd) and it is very nice for walks...U could or run the whole island. Hotel is maintained, and everything is decent, but i think it needs updating.

We first visited Venice over 20 years ago and on our return with our children wanted to stay in a quiet but convenient location. The Villa Parco is situated on the Venice Lido, amongst beautiful old Italian Villas, some converted into hotels but many privately owned. The vast majority of tourists on this island are Italian. The Vaparetto departure points are within walking distance of the hotel and the short journey across the lagoon provides a fantastic view of approaching Venice. The hotel itself is situated in a quiet road off a main street through the Lido. We found the staff to be most welcoming, the room clean and quiet and the continental Italian breakfast very satisfactory. If you want to stay in a small hotel, full of charm, the Villa Parco is perfect. However, if you prefer a perfectly decorated larger hotel lacking character, then you will need to look elsewhere.
