Staff were wonderfully warm, friendly and informative, nothing was too much trouble. Great advice as to restaurants and travel. Several languages spoken. I would recommend this hotel to any traveller. Location away from the hustle & bustle of the main islands, great to come back to at the days end.

Good : Friendly reception, Quiet of room, Room size and bathromm (but only bathtub without curtain for our room) Not perfect : Quality of breakfast and not very clean service, A bit 'old house' atmosphere - sadly ambiancy, no animation arround the hotel if you are walking. But the problem is the location : Ferry-boat for coming on the lido island with the car (+- 60 € for go and back) and vaporetto for visiting Venezia (13€ each person for go and back, available only 1 day) Then, with that transport costs, an hotel in Venezia center is not much expensive for 2 or 3 days.

very poor breakfast (if you want to have a breakfast at 9.30 you can't because everything was finished!), very unconfortable pillows, far from the battle point, uncomfortable to go di Venice.

Staff faked friendliness. Asking things was not pleasurable. If they needed what of you they were pushy. Very very poor breakfast.

Alberoni is a small village, with good restaurants, relaxing surroundings and nice people. Hotel Orio is as Alberoni, but no restaurant. Not for party people, but perfect for relaxation. We can just warmly recommend a stay in Alberoni and Hotel Orio.

This is a great hotel, especially if you are looking for a bargain in overly expensive Europe. The manager of the hotel was very accomodating. He was delighted to see us and it was a great feeling to be welcomed that way. There is a great family resteraunt across the street. The only bad part is that you are not located in the island of Venice so you will have to take a bus and ferry in order to go see the sights. But if what you are looking for is a place to rest and relax maybe even go to the beach (which is a 5-8 minute walk away) this is the place you should stay.

très bon acueil, facilités pour se rendre à Venise: bus, vaporetto, calme suaf si les voisins de chambre font du bruit petit déjeuner plus que banal!

Excellent place to stay, would use it again. The only issue would be that you have to travel by bus and boat for abot 25 minutes to reach Venice but this is good in that it takes you away from all the hustle of the city to a nice, peaceful place to stay.

The employees were very courtious, and the pizzeria is good. This almost made up for the other problems. The advertised "internet facilities" are actually just a phone jack. The air conditioning was off, giving a choice between a hot room or mosquitos. I got 6 bites and no sleep. Finally, the owner would not accept amex although it was accepted for booking and argued that it was my problem, before eventually accepting it.

A clean, friendly hotel. Although it's right at the opposite end of the Lido to the vaporetto station, the buses are frequent and stop right outside the hotel. It can feel rather remote after a tiring day exploring the canals and city on foot, but it's quiet and comfortable. Cold breakfast is extensive. If you'd prefer something hot it's available, but for an additional charge. If you request a twin room, you should be aware that there are in fact none available at this hotel. Those listed as twins are actually doubles.

Very pleasant stay in a very pleasant location. The location map on the website could have been better in order to give an indication of the distance between the port and the hotel OR better information about the excellent bus service would have been useful. Arriving after midnight, I was a little concerned about not knowing exactly where I was going of how to get there.

The photographs I saw which made me choose the Orio Hotel were very misleading, the hotel rooms were very small and quite dingy with tiled floors. The air conditioning didn't work properly and when we complained we were just told it was working fine. The cleanliness inside the hotel was good but the fact that 2 huge public bins are situated right accross from the front door made it almost impossible to sit at the front of the hotel and going outside in general was very unpleasant. Staff were obviously not at all trained, when I informed reception on the morning of my departure that there was no hot water I was told that the hot water in the kitchen was fine and it was too early to do anything about it anyway. I was also told entirely different information by different members of staff on other queries. Overall I did not have a very pleasant stay at the Orio hotel which is very overpriced in comparison to what you receive, which is more at hostel level than hotel level.

Hallo, we spent wonderful days in Venice and at your very, very nice hotel. Your hotel has beautiful rooms and a very good service. Therefore it must be a misunderstanding. I booked your hotel by venere.com. At our departure we must pay to the costs of the rooms 4 x 2 x 15€ for the breakfast. But at your homepage, that I visited before booking, the breakfast is incl. Please transform the 120 € to my bank-address Anton Pfeffer Sparda-Bank münchen 70090500 No.644382 Thank you very much for your help wir haben wundervolle Tage in Venedig und in ihrem Hotel verbracht. Bitte überweisen Sie 120 € an Anton Pfeffer Sparda-Bank München 70090500 No.644282 Vielen Dank

The owners are heavy smokers and the room had an opium like smell of old smoke. There was no heating in the room. The breakfast was very poor. Coffee was cold. Most pieces were charged separately.
