I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and staff welcoming and polite. The surrounding aera was lovely. The only thing is that on some ocassions I heard water running from a pipe next to my room. But this did not disturb my sleep at all.

Easy walking distance from vaporettos in Lido (nice and quiet semi-residential island, in fall). Very nice building, nice view from its tower. Nice staff (could have been more interacting in this homely environment). Delicious croissants. Internet was problematic.

A charming small hotel in a quiet tree lined avenue conveniently located just a short walk from the water bus terminal offering quality rooms at value for money prices. Decor was traditional with beautiful jaquard fabric covered walls and luxurious window drapes. The room of our occupancy was small but for our purposes quite adequate - this was off set by its charm. The availabilty of English language TV news chanels was a bonus. The room facilites lacked only drawer space for clothing and tea making equipment. Breakfast was an adequate, if identical, daily buffet of a limited range of cold meats and cheese, hard boiled eggs, cereals etc. While prunes and canned peaches were avalailable, it perhaps lacked fresh fruit and also savoury breads. Only small bread buns and packet toast were offered with a larger selection of sweet pastries. The reception staff were most welcoming and helpful. Our stay was very pleasant and, for our purposes, one which we would repeat in preference to the large impersonal international group experience.

Great hotel in Venice! it is absolutely good idea to live at Lido Island rather than Venice mainland, because the hotel price and surrounding are much better than Venice mainland. The breakfirst is very good continental foods. Very close to the water-bus station (5min walk). Close to the super market.

Chose this accommodation because of reviews here and it was everything we expected. Asked for a balcony and got a very nice large one. Welcome super. room was supior and not large and so the stadard rooms would be very small but this is Venice!! Enjoyed sunning ourselves in the garden and on the roof when we lost the sun on our balcony. Extremely easy to rech from airport(water bus) and so convienant for St Marks Square. Will recommend to all our friends. good temperature control in room, mini bar, safe-took our own kettle. Venice is amazing and April was a great time to go. Not too crowded and sunny and warm.

The price & quality of Villa Delle Palme was definitely worth the vaporetto ride. I stayed at VDP during Carnevale, and when all other tiny, below-average rated Venetian Single rooms were going for at least €90 per night, I only paid €30 at VDP! My room was great! Bedroom & bathroom were clean. There was plenty of food at breakfast. Also, I showed up 2 hours before checkin to drop off my bags, but VDP was kind enough to let me check in--MUCH appreciated since it was cold & rainy outside. The hotel is not far from the Vaporetto stop (about 2.5-block walk). Lido is much quieter than Venice (at least during Carnevale) so I found VDP to be a GREAT break from Venice's bustle. I'd definitely stay here again!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It was a welcome break from crowded Venice proper and in a beautiful and quiet residential area. And the beach was a 5 minute walk away and a great way to take a break from power touring. The continental breakfast was excellent as far as quality of foods offered and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful to us in arranging the tours we wanted. We would definitely stay there again.

We were so impressed with the beautiful mansion-like building and the wonderful welcome we received from the very personable and amusing Cristiano. Shortly after we arrived, he offered us some of his awesome Italian espresso (on the house) after giving us a tour of the amazing view from the roof. We were offered another room option if we preferred, but we stayed with the room we had because of the separate room provided for our 3rd person. It would have been nice to have a view from our room but because our room was on basement level, we did not. But it was extremely comfortable and quiet, which is all we really needed for the length of time we were staying. The breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of choices. They were good about providing me with gluten-free options. The hotel is situated in Lido, Venice, which is a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the touristy part of Venice. It is easy to get to wherever you need to go from there by land and water buses. I recommend getting a 24 transportation ticket as it gets you on both - easily and quickly. Hotel reception will gladly show you the parts of Venice you won't want to miss. We were very impressed overall: very good value for the money.

We stayed 2 nights. The room was meant to be for 3 but was very small even for two. Our third person did not come and just as well! However the place is charming, as are the staff and the location on the Lido was the right choice. The other guests were mainly European families with youger children and older couples - this was not a problem. I was sharing a room with my elderly mother, it was her 70th birthday. Having been to Venice many many times before, we decided to stay in the Lido and it was both beautiful, convenient via the the Red line boad from/to the airport and a short vapporetto ride from St Marks (24 h service). We had people to visit in Venice and on the mainland, so this was ideal. Staying in the Lido is like staying in the real Italy - you have more Italian's going about their daily business in real local shops than tourists. And there's the beach! The architecture in the Lido is mostly bel epoch (c 1900-10), and fabulous. The hotel is in a nice villa of this period.

We and some friends had 2 rooms, both on ground floor. Both were very clean but very compact. Our shower was so small that I had to go in sideways - and I'm not that big! I had to request some soap as there was none in the room. Our friend's room was bigger but every other room's drainage seemed to pass through the pipework in the bedroom making sleeping difficult. Location is superb on the Lido, about 5 mins on foot from the vaporetto stop and is a nice quiet area making a change from the chaos on the main island. Would certainly recommend staying here.

My wife has mobility problems and can only do a few stairs so we had a ground floor room. There a re about a dozen steps up into the hotel but once your in the hotel the ground floor room 22 was very disabled friendly with step in shower and large bathroom with hand rails to help you. The staff were great and we found the location ideal as you could get easily into Venice via the waterbus which was 5 minutes from the hotel. It is easy to get on and off in a wheel chair (get a 24, 48 0r 72hr pass) and they run past midnight. would fully recommend this hotel the location and venice.

My friend and I booked this accommodation from Spain due to a last minute change of plans (we are Australian) - it exceeded our expectations. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke very good English (and French I noted). They had provided instructions on their website for how to get there whether arriving by taxi, plane or train and these were useful in helping us get there easily. Upon arrival our bags were carried to our room (stairs, no lift) and the staff were very helpful in accommodating our needs eg we changed rooms as we wanted a different bed configuration, in providing advice, maps, great restaurant recommendation. The rooms are very reasonably priced and depending on which room you get, quite spacious (the smaller rooms are cheaper). The Villa is in a residential area and therefore quiet, and only a couple of minutes walk from the local shops and ferries. It was good to have breakfast included and this was a fairly traditional European spread. We would highly recommend this accomodation.

The hotel is conveniently situated on the Lido. It is about a 5 minute walk from the vaporetto stop. It is a short walk to the main street and there are a number of decent restaurants in the immediate area. The hotel and room was very clean and well decorated. If there is any criticism, the rooms are a bit small, but for the price, location and amenities, one can get over their smallness. There are large and pleasant public areas, and the property has a great garden. Drinks are available, and there is a spectacular belvedere on the roof with views over the lagoon of Venice. The breakfast was very generous with a large selection of things to choose from. Staff was very helpful. Overall, there was good value for the price. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We chose to stay on Lido because it was quieter and cheaper and found it really easy to get the Vaporetta into Venice. Our room, though small, was bright and light and beautifully decorated with a very comfortable large bed and a good size bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and we really enjoyed our stay. It is about 10 minutes walk from the wharf to Venice, which we did not find a problem, even with luggage. Lido is a great alternative to the tourist hassle of Venice and you get much more for your money in hotels. We took a three day Vaporetta pass which was the most economical way to go and found travel very easy.

This is a boutique hotel. The rooms are a little small but pretty standard for Europe. The breakfast was very nice. There was hard boiled eggs, cereal, sweet rolls, yogurt, juice and plent of very good coffee. There was also ham and cheeze to make a breakfast sandwich. It would be nice to have some fresh fruit. The front desk man was very helpful and gave us several recommendations for restaurants. He speaks adequate English. There is a roof top outdoor area where we went to enjoy the view with some wine and cheese each night. There is another out door garden area in the side yard to sit and enjoy some refreshments. The water buses are just a few minutes walk away and there is also a grocery store within 5 min walk. It was very nice to get away from the crowds in the evening. The beach and Adriatic Sea is within 15 mins walking. I would certaintly recommend this hotel.

It was my fifth time to Venice or Lido de Venice. Villa delle Palme is a top adress for a short stay to do a sightseeing in Venice, we stay there at the end of Carneval, I was a little afraid that the traghettos are to crowded to go to Venice, but definetely no problem. I suggest to buy the three days ticket for the whole Venice traffic system (33.-€ per Person) and it is wonderful to drive through canale grande through Venice (do it as well during the night)

We stayed at the hotel during the last weekend of Carnival and got quite a bargain with Hotel Villa Delle Palme. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Everything was clean and the breakfast was quite good for a smaller hotel. The hotel is located in a nice residential neighborhood and it is less than a five minute walk to catch the waterbus to Venice. Considering the price compared to other Venice/Lido hotels, I would definitely stay here again.

a very pleasant stay. hotel is very charming, web page photos don't do it justice. room size was ok. it is in a quiet neighbourhood so no noise for us. however, it was low season and not many tourists around. breakfast a bit too early, from 8 till 9, 9.30. the only disappointment was the parking fee; upon the arrival we were told it is 5 euros per day, at the end of the stay we were charged 10 euro. the staff reccommended a great restaurant nearby, trattoria Africa.

We stayed 1 night here during our weekend in Venezia. we couldn't find the hotel immediatly because the last streetsign wasn't there and we didn't bring the adress while we thought there would be a sign. Partially our fault. The hotel is very ok. We slept in the smallest room I guess but it was fine. The have a wonderful 'balcony' on the roof where you can enjoy the view and the sun. Breakfast was great. Good choice and quality. Bringing your car is not so smart. They have a parking that costs €10,-. Not for your stay but for every day you leave it there. Very close, 3 minutes walk, to the efficient public transport on water.

The location, staff, weather were excellent. Alberto and Stefano are very welcoming and willing to guide you in the delights of Venice and her surrounding areas. One tip, buy a Venice Card online before you arrive. Would stay here again, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Delle Palme and Lidod di Venezia.

I went here together with my girlfriend. The hotel is located 45 minutes from the airport if you take the Lilaguna. We got the "dreaded" room around the corner from the reception. We could hear the telephone ringing through the wall. This was not a particular problem for us, because it was quiet in the evening and we are both very heavy sleepers... Breakfast was good, but we missed fresh fruit. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I'd like to pass on their recommendation to visit the beach, just som 400-500 meters from the hotel. The vaporetto is just 15-20 minutes away from central Venice. This is a good thing in my opinion as the ride there is _very_ beatiful. When we return to Venice in the future I would definitely consider returning to Villa Delle Palme.

We stayed in their appartment/quad. Great place to stay if you are a family of four. Plenty of room and easy 5 min. walk to the boat taxi. Nice swimming beach also not far. I'd stay here again. We were on a six week vacation throughout Italy and Craotia and I can say for the price this place was a nice find.

Clean and safe. Good for families. My family of four stayed there and it was a very comfortable stay. We were welcomed by name and the employees/managers personally introduced themselves. The front desk was always "manned" at least at the times we came and went. Lido is a beautiful island with plenty of non-touristy things to do and almost everything is within walking distance on the island. Easy water bus ride to Venice takes less than 15 minutes. We would stay there again.

It is a small 3 stars hotel in Lido. For location, it is not far...only walk 5 mins to the pier and 10 mins to St. Mark. It is a quiet place and easy to find. Our room is on the ground floor. The decoration is new and overall tidy. We've been different cities in Italy which is the most nice person we meet in reception. Other staff is also nice. The place for breakfast is classic euorpean style. We like it. For the disadvantages, we think it is not clean enough. We found pieces of sand and dust in the bed sheet. Also, the staff is not careful enough. We found a glasses in the room which may belong to the previous guests, I guess. We feel a bit strength becoz the room is facilited for disabled. Overall rating should be slightly better than average. In Venice, the rate is acceptable.

This was better than the Hilton Milano Stucky on Guidecca which we stayed the next day. Stefano was great and the rooms were clean and beautiful. Everyone made us feel welcomed. Next time we would only stay on Lido and at the Villa Delle Palme. The cuppola at the top made the trip exceptional. Grab your kids and a glass of wine and drink in Venice.

Very easy to find from the airport. Vaparetto to lido then just a five minute walk from the landing point to the hotel. The staff at the desk are very helpful and extremely polite. Lido is wonderful for a more relaxed holiday. The city is a twenty minute vaparetto ride away and the beach is a ten minute walk. Lots of good restaurants nearby with better food and prices than in the tourist hub of the main city areas. Waterbus service runs all night so no problem if you have a late night in the city. Would definitely recommend this very beautiful villa hotel to anyone seeking a true taste of the relaxed side of Venetian life.

A small pleasant hotel in a quiet location with a very helpful manager. Overall stay very good but impression diminished as a result of noise caused by staff. We stayed in Room 20, around a corner from Reception. On two nights staff members carried on a loud, apparently social, conversation late at night. It was necessary to ask them to be quite. With the small size of the Reception area and the immediate proximity of three guest rooms staff should be aware of the sound impact and be more respectful of the quests. Rooms 21, 22 and 23 are exposed to noise in the lobby and breakfast room although we were only bothered by staff at night. Upstairs rooms are likely quieter but can only be accessed by a long, steep staircase. Breakfast is a good and varied continental presentation with excellent service and the view from the tower above the roof is great. Surrounding area is a pleasant residential neighborhood with nearby restaurants and the hotel is a short walk to the Vaporatto stop with frequent service to everywhere in Venice. It was good to return to the quite of Lido after a day in the bustle of Venice and to have the option to get back and forth easily. It was also good to be able to take the boat from the airport to Lido and walk, with rolling luggage, to the hotel. Even with the noise problem we would stay at the hotel again but would request an upstairs room.

Located on the long island of Lido just south of Venice, Hotel Villa Delle Palme was a welcome, clean, quiet respite from the hustle, bustle and commerce of Venice proper. The short ride on the water bus from the train station to Lido was easy and when we asked a taxi driver for a ride to the Hotel Villa Delle Palme, he explained it's "just three blocks down, half a block to the left" so we saved cab fare and took the short walk. The next day, we took the water bus back to Venice and spent the day. We bought 72 hour tickets and it was worth it to avoid getting tickets every time and we actually saved money because we took the water bus a lot. Hotel Villa Delle Palme had one of the best breakfasts we ever had. Fresh meats and cheese, rolls, coffee, danish, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk and more. The hostess was really friendly and attentive and helped us enjoy the breakfast. The staff helped us with transportation, restaurants and other concerns. Very professional. At the hotel, be sure to walk up to the tower and get a 360 degree view of the water and Lido. Restaurants, bars, a bank and shopping is close. Going to the store for bread, cheese and meat makes a tasty and very economical meal. Hotel Villa Delle Palme was clean, classy and a great place to stay in Venice.

We stayed here for 3 days prior to our cruise. This was easy to find, staff were most helpful in providing a good map of Venice, public transit and restaurant information. Breakfast was very good but some fresh fruit would have made it perfect. We were carrying a lot of luggage in anticipation of widely varying weather over the course of our vacation so the room was a bit small to hold all that we had in an orderly fashion but it was bigger than we would have had right in Venice. The bathroom was huge and the towel warmer so luxurious after a day out and about. We hope to have the opportunity to stay in this establishment again! Venere.com gave us the information we needed to make a great choice.

The most unique feature of this hotel is the observation cupola and tower deck on top. Great for sunrise or sunset. The staff varied in competence and affability, but the gentleman we saw most (Stefan, I believe) was absolutely great: warm, informative, conversational. The internet on their computer was problematic: The connection was slow, the rate timing mechanism was messed up, the system froze a number of times so that Email never went out, and the cost was rather expensive compared to more efficient commercial alternatives in Venice. The breakfast was good not great. It was only about 3 blocks from the vaporetto stop, which got you across the bay to Venice in minutes, and was always fun and very economical with our pass. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nice, great surroundings, lovely views from the top of the tower, nioce decorations. A real problem was the size of the room as you could not move in it. With approx. 10 m² it just had the bed in it - a desaster with two persons trying to share the room. We have tried to change the room but we were informed that it was fully booked and that was the room type we have choosen in the internet.
