Hotel Villa Cipro - Venice Lido, Venice

Maintenance of the room was subpar (several light bulbs not working), AC was switched off. A loud beeping sound from a neighbouring house every 5 seconds made it impossible to sleep with open windows. Breakfast in the basement... and it can't even be described as "basic". Go to a café instead. Very friendly staff, though. Overall not worth the money (even judging on a special "Venice scale").

Our stay was very pleasant. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we would definately stay at the Villa Cipro when we return to Venice.

We only stayed one night, the staff was very nice and clever.The towels aren't suitable, they're kind of sheets. It's very close to the boat, 10 minutes to S.Marco.

Spotless, well-kept hotel with very friendly staff, most of whom spoke excellent English. The location was great, just off the main boulevard and 2 minutes from the beach in one direction and water bus stops in the other direction, but in quiet, tree-lined surroundings. We recommend our room, 101, which was on the ground floor and had a king-sized bed(very comfortable) and private terrace. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, including home-baked pastries as well as all the usual suspects.

Great place to enjoy the beach and a few minutes away from Venice. Five min walk to the beach and five min walk to the vaporeto to Venice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms a bit too small but the grounds are beautiful and the location great. They also provide a very complete breakfast with fresh fruit and all.

It was supposed to have a bottle of Prosseco when arriving, but they argued there was no ice! What's the problem if you have a mini bar in the room? Simplily they lie.

Nice, quiet familar hotel with helpfull staff, but without any park as indicated. But very closed to the beach as well as to the main square with all the possibilities...

Hotel Villa Cipro gave us a very warm welcome even though our flight was delayed by 2 hours and we arrived at almost 3am! The Hotel is very easy to find as located on the map and approximately a 5 min walk from the main waterbus stop on the Lido. The rooms were clean and spacious with good facilities. The breakfast was good. With delicious fresh coffee and toasted sandwiches. There was also a ample selection of fruit and cereals. We would certainly stay at the hotel again.

Hotel was ideally situated on the Lido, rooms were a bit basic, there was a very musty smell from our bathroom ! and the bedding quilt had stains on it, breakfast very basic but adequate. But it was a pleasant hotel, we would maybe stay there again as we particularly liked the postion of the hotel.

A good place to stay - marred only by the quality of the breakfast. Should change their brand of coffee - undrinkable! And a new toaster that actually toasts bread would be useful!

Despite its really attractive situation and the good quality of the service, there had a huge gap with what we were expecting for this price. Obviously, this is the reality for all in Venice but especially in for hotels...

A beautiful location. The hotel is quiet, quaint, welcoming and was one of the highlights of our stay in Venice. An easy vaporetto ride to the best sites in Venice, it was always a welcome relief to escape the hustle of that city by escaping to the sanctuary of the hotel at night. I highly recommend this place and will definitely look to stay there during my next visit to Venice.

We staid two nights in Lido di Venezia. Very pleasant Hotel, quiete and well located. a "negative" point concerning spaciousness of our room and maintenance of the furniture (closet and curtain).

We loved staying on Lido! Despite our late September travel date, Venice was packed with tourists! We were so happy to get back to our quaint and quiet island. The hotel is run by family members who were very nice and helpful. The directions were not very explicit, but we got off the waterbus and walked directly down the main street and the Hotel Cipro was not far, even with luggage. Got a great recommendations for a local restaurant, with great food and beautifully designed Murano glass pitchers for wine and water for every table. Would stay there again.

I do not recommend this hotel! I was completely disappointed with the room, the hotel, the surroundings of the hotel, and the whole experience. As far as I am concerned this hotel should have paid me to stay in it.

Klimaanlage zu schwach - bei 36 Grad Aussentemperatur kommt man im Zimmer auf max. 27 Grad ist einfach zu warm und einem 3Stern Hotel nicht würdig. Frühstück zu eintönig - keine Abwechslung bei Wurst und Käsesorten, Kaffee schmeckt einfach schlecht bezieht sich nur auf das Frühstück. Personal ist sehr gut, bemüht, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kaffee an der Hotelbar ist wiederum sehr gut. Alles in allem entspricht es dem Preis der wiederum für den Service recht günstig ist. Aufenthaltsdauer 6 Tage

Nice hotel, nice place to stay, very clean. The staff did not, however, involve themself in their guests. We made better relations with a souvenir-seller at the Rialto-bridge. But Lido is highly recommendable for visitors to Venice

Very good hotel for price and location and would definately book again. I would recomend this hotel to friends and family.

It was my second stay in this nice little hotel. Everthing was fine as it was the last time except the woman in the breakfast room. She was bad-tempered. Not even able to say "Bon giorno". She thougt more than half an hour before the end of breakfast time (8 to 10) is the right time to stop refilling the buffet. Regardless of some guest who just started their breakfast. We were the lucky ones who catched the last cheese. Except for that I really recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the "Villa Cipro" in all aspects! Despite the fact that it is "only" a 3-star hotel it has everything it takes to feel comfortable. Spotlessly clean, newly renovated, quiet, nice breakfast room and with a very convenient and central location just a few steps away from the "vaporetto" to central Venice.

Ten out of ten , situated in the right place. Excellent breakfast facilities and staff pleasant and helpful. Will definatly stay in hotel again.

This was a hotel that lived up to expectations. It is very well situated, in a quiet area and our room overlooked a park area and had a very spacious balcony, with patio set and sun loungers. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Conveient for Venice, being only a few hundred yards from the water bus landing stage and also in the centre of the Lido. Good restaurants nearby and the Lido is much underrated and well worth exploring. Friendly cycle hirer situated nearby and worth taking a trip around the island. Will certainly be going back in the not too distant future to this hotel.

We are not happy, we had a very small room at it does not worth this price! We forgot something in the room and nobody cameback to us!

I passed 3 days in the Villa Cipro and was very surprised about the prestation. The web site presented a well and quite garden and at the end there were only a tree at the entry !!! I think the relationship between price and quality is just correct but you can find better for the same price. The quotation of this hotel is too much over estimated and the only advantage is the quitness...

A lovely hotel, quiet and elegant, just off the main street on the Lido. a splendid restaurant in a garden next door. We loved the balcony of our room where we could sit out in the evening - gave us a real feeling of space and air, so be sure to ask for a room on the third floor. Were disappointed with the fact that the hotel talked about a 'wonderful garden' - a bit of a misnoma for a patch of grass in the front. If there is a garden, we didn't find it. But apart from that, this is a very special hotel, spotlessly clean and with a friendly, efficient staff. Will definitely consider this as a real find, and worth coming back to. If it were really hot, this would be the place to stay, not in Venice itself.

As this was my first attempt at booking a hotel via the internet. My choice was influenced by the review of previous guests. When arrived we were met by a very helpful and friendly receptionist. Room very clean,breakfast excellent, location very good. Alway keen to advise where to go and what to see.

Our stay at Villa Cipro was a very enjoyable one. The hotel was what I would describe as a good 3*, and is exactly as described on the website. The staff were extremely courteous, helpgul and friendly, and overall this hotel comes thoroughly recommended for anybody looking to enjoy their stay in Venice on a sensible budget. The boat from Lido to Venice ran at least every 10 minutes during the day and 20 minutes at night, and the commuting definitely added to our enjoyment ofthe trip.

Very nice hotel, good location which allows you to have your car available and provide easy access to Venice (as long as there are no strikes). The hotel is located in a very pleasant and quiet area but does provide easy (on foot) access to nice restaurants. One word of caution should you travel in the October timeframe, do not forget to bring mosquito repellent ... during this period they are craving for fresh «food». The hotel personnel did provide this type of product when they were asked.

A VERY NICE HOTEL NEAR THE VAPORETTE SO IT WAS VERY EASY TO GET TO VENICE. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AND ARE VERY SATISFIED.

Villa Cipro was a great place to stay. It was very clean and modern. The breakfasts were particularly tasty and had a plentiful variety!

Villa Cipro ist äusserst empfehlenswert für jeden, der mit Stil einen erholsamen Venedig-Urlaub verbringen will. Selbst das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, dass ansonsten in Venedig eine Unverschämtheit ist, stimmte hier.

Very nice friendly hotel with very helpful staff. In a good location only yards from the main street where everything went on, however, very peacful and quiet in the hotel.The room was smaller than we expected and had no tea coffee making facilities (we Brits can't get by without 6 cups of tea a day even when in Italy).Bar/reception area a bit too quiet.

Friendly staff, nice facilities, nice breakfast included. The hotel map on the web page could have been larger and more detailed...in general easy to find. Lido Island is beautiful.

A lovely quiet place to stay, while still close to the main sites of Venice. Highly recomended and would return.

Travelling in the first week of January this hotel is very excellent for a stay of some days in venice. The price/quality ratio is unbeatable (66 Euro for double per nigtht). The hotel is easy to find. Average time to vaporetto is 7 minutes by feet. Vaporetto time to Marcus-Square 13 minutes. All in all a very nice stay with a very fair price.

We were due to leave when there was a transportation strike. This made things difficult and we spent most of our time trying to track out a route to Pizzale Roma by foot rather than enjoying the scenery etc. If we would have known that Lido was located a good ferry ride away from the mainland we might have made a differnt decision but if we had more time, the hotel would be perfect. We have already recommended it to others.

I am very satisfied with this site. It is set up well and easy to find your way around. The hotel Villa Cipro - Lido (Venezia) was excellent. A beautiful small hotel and in a perfect location. The three days we spent in Venice were a gift to my parents for their anniversary and they loved it and saw it as a second "honeymoon".

Directions from boat ramp to hotel were poor, we had to go into a shop to ask directions. There were fruit flies in the breakfast room, but staff did a good job of keeping the food covered to avoid contamination. Lido is a wonderful, friendly little island and it was nice to return to it after being with the crowds of people on Venezia.

A very beautiful hotel. We were really very impressed with the standard and we got this accommodation at a bargain price. I would highly recommend this hotel. All the light fittings are made of glorious Murano glass. Incredible value.
