We liked the hotel very much. Our stay in late October was marred by problems with the heating and hot water supply - we had 3/4 of our stay without hot water. The staff were lovely and helpful but we had to ask and be insistent to have our complaint heard at times. It was sorted out and we were compensated somewhat. Lovely place. Lovely owners. Very helpful. Great restaurants nearby. Beautiful beach over the road. Nice to get out of central Venice and beautiful views from boat each day but it does make a long day with the journey.

There were buses going to the waterbus stop every 10 minutes which was perfect. Night time it was peaceful and even if it was very hot outside, the room stayed cool. Breakfast was simple but totally enough.

Everything is perfect, quality of service is very good, but staff at reception have to give overall information to tourists how to use public transport in Lido and Vienna, give the map and explanations how to reach famous places

It's ok for sleep only. It's far from the Lido centre, so it's not very easy to reach.

A really lovely hotel, with wonderful staff. I travelled with my Mom and we had a great room with two beds, very tastefully furnished, with two(!) balconies. Breakfast was exceptional for Italian standards, with two different types of joghurt, muesli, boiled eggs, cheese, etc. Just walk across the street and you're on the beach. There are only two setbacks: the view of the sea from our room was blocked by another building across the street (if you're tall or stand on a chair you can see it, though). Also, the hotel is right on one of the Lido's very busy main roads; it's pretty quiet at night but traffic really starts picking up around 7:00 a.m. But if you're not a light sleeper, and given the 98% positive impression of the hotel I can still highly recommend it.

Nice service, great breakfast, rich choice, being in Italy, we would hope for more fruit. We had a nice bamboo style room with balcony, TV with italian channels including MTV. Staff was friendly, opening hours till 1 a.m. reasonable, Internet services for 2,50 half an hour. Public shower and bathroom on the ground floor for free use when checking out early and waiting for a train you can refresh. The public rooms have a nice glass item and sea decoration feel to them. Clean, nice bathrooms, only cross a street, pass some buildings and a gate to reach the beach. I was cold the first night, Bike rental is not at the Hotel but 3 bus stops away. Tenniscourt next door does not provide racket rental, so we couldnt play. If you want to play Tennis, bring your own. You would not want a room facing the court with a noisy transformator running for hours. Walls are like cardboard, you can hear your neighbours at night. Under the bed it was very dusty the 1st night, then got cleaned. When thrown a towel to the floor as a sign to exchange it, I found the very same towel with the very same stain hung up in the bathroom again. Sea side has poor view but a busy bus-/ car-noisy street, one side a tenniscourt and a transformator running, the third side a house being done up. Ideal quite rooms only at the shady backside. I would stay here again for a weekend but only for the bargain season price.

4 of us stayed here in may ; the first time in venice; an ideal base for a wonderful holiday. we had 2 extra double rooms, breakfast was good (catered for both a diabetic & a celiac); advice good. only drawback was we could have done with better directions as we arrived late evening as independent travellers

Quiet hotel in a quiet area. Good standards from staff but breakfast could do with some variation. Lido is some distance from main transport hubs but is quiter and cooler than Venice itself and access to beaches nearby. Local public transport is good and bus stop is very close to the hotel. Fairly expensive in comparison with other places we stayed in Europe but seemed good value by Venice standards

A friendly welcome and comfortable. Nice breakfast. One criticism : it is impossible to find the correct bus stop unassisted when coming from the vaparetto stop. We got totally lost and quite stressed trying to find the hotel. Otherwise a lovely hotel!

The Rivamare was okay. Our room was clean and relatively comfortable but small. After being warmly greeted throughout our stay in Italy we were a little disappointed with our reception upon check-in. Another minor detail was the hair dryer in our room was broken and appeared to have been for some time.

A very friendly establishment. The staff go out of their way to help and speak very good English. The hotel was easy to find catch Lido Water bus and then catch Bus 'c' or 'v'. You can purchase three day travel tickets which give you unlimited access. Breakfast was adequate. Close to the beach which is lovely. Would recommend the hotel to others.

The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and looked newly decorated. The breakfast room was very charming as well as the receiption and bar area. It was right by a bus stop and a short walk to a wonderful beach. Overall, we were very pleased!

This is a charming hotel! The staff is very friendly and speak several European languages. The motel is located in Lido which is far from the train station, but well worth the trip. The room was very modern, well kept and had A/C! We would definitely stay there again.

We were extremely pleased with the hotel, and the facilities were excellent. The only downside - and it is not necessarily a downside for all visitors - is the location: it is both a vaporetto ride + bus from downtown Venice, and that meant that it was tricky to fly out of the airport the next morning.
