Loved staying here. Had to take a ferry from downtown Venice but that was easy and cheap, and the hotel is very close to the ferry stop at Lido. English-speaking hotel host gave me lots of information, and the wifi in the lobby is great. No breakfast unfortunately, but there's a supermarket a block away.

Good location - walkable from the boat terminal and on the main street which had many restaurants. Breakfast was not included in the price - it can either be purchased at the hotel or in nearby restaurants (which we did). Internet available only in the breakfast room, but is free.

Very old hotel. The room was tiny and extremelly hot (they have not air conditioned in August with 36 ºC and 90% of humidity). Windows are very old too and it doesn't work, it could be a problem in winter. Lido is so far away from the centre. 1 hour to Ferrovia, 30 min. from San Marco. The vaporetto ticket from Ferrovia to Lido costs 6.5 €. One of the beds were completly broken.

I spoke to two male reception staff and both were very helpful and very friendly and sympathetic that the airline had lost my luggage. Nice, quiet reception room to sit down and get on wi-fi, if you have a laptop. Internet cut out once and staff happily reset the modem, which solved the problem instantly. As others have said shutters don't close completely and some noise gets in but this isn't a problem - the problem for me was that it was so hot as I visited in August. There was a desktop fan in the room (a carrier bag covered an unused fitting in the ceiling) but this was not nearly as good as what a ceiling fan would have been.

The stay was nice here, the staff spoke english and the rooms were reasonable. Out of all my stays this was the most expensive especiallyy in comparison to what i got, but i discovered that is just because venice is more expensive. The rooms were clean, wifi was avaialble but only in the foyer and restaurant areas on the first floor. I was on the 3rd level with no lift but he carried my bag to my room for me. The directions dont specify but when you get off the boat you just have to walk almost straight down the main street and you get to the hotel. Lido is the furtherest island away from the main parts of Venice, but was quite a nice place and the hotel is very close to the boat station. All in all it was a good stay, with clean rooms and friendly service.

The Hotel located near to Lido Vaporetto station (4 minutes on foot), about 10 minutes from Venice central on boat.Tha stuff was very helpful and friendly, the room was simple, and a little bit noisy because of the high street(Gran Viale Santa Maria Elisabetta). There were a lot of restaurants and bars near the hotel, and the beach was only some minutes!

Overall the hotel was very nice, we had no problems with it besides the fact that the keys are sometimes left unattended at the front of the hotel, although it wasn't a problem for us. Also, when we checked in, the room wasn't ready. Small issues, but overall the stay was very nice and we would recommend this hotel to others. The area has a beach resort feel to it, very nice and relaxing.

Good hotel, but a bit out of ways on the island of Lido. A bit inconvenient, as you must take the vaporetto to any tourist sites (St. Mark's, the Accademy Gallery, etc) Room was a bit noisy, it seemed it was right next to a club, so there was music late into the night. Inclusion of a shower in the room was a definite plus.

Very friendly hotel with a nice relaxed atmosphere, the only downsides were, staying on the 3rd (out of 4) floors with no lift, and there was no option for breakfast although there is no shortage of places around to buy breakfast. It was a really good hotel and one of the nicer htels for a modest budget on the island, i would highly recommend it.

This was an easter break with my partner. The first night we arrived at 11pm and there was no water, so we were transferred to another hotel away from the town centre. This was three star but a filthy room, so we asked to return the next day. Once in our room the TV didn't work and took a day to repair. The next morning there was no breakfast the coffee machine didn't work, this was never rectified during our stay. This is a small basic hotel with clean rooms, but quite noisy and no other facilities. The advantage is it's central location near shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, and the water bus stop for Venice itself.

Lido is better place to stay than Venice, you need just few minutes to travel by boat. Reiter is the best choice for students and other people who have limited budget. The staff are friendly and very kind. The room is ok for us with bath room and very warm, the bed is quite small but comfortable, TV is also very small but I don't care about it after all day long in Venice. Next time I will choose Reiter again for my family's trip

We were there for 2 nights. The people were friendly enough and the hotel was easy to find. It's located on the main road so there are plenty of places to eat and the beach is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. My only complaint is that the room and the bathroom were shown to be a lot bigger and different in the pictures than what we actually received. Oh, and if you need televideo, they don't have it on the television.

We stayed at this hotel on Lido for 2 nights! We found it very chill and a nice get away from the busy atmosphere of the main Venice islands. The room was great, it was a room to sleep in, very clean, fairly quiet. It was on a great street of restaurants and shops, but that is the only busy street for what seemed miles.

The hotel is on lido which means it is a about a 15 minute ride by water bus to the main sites, but also means it is away from the crowds. The Hotel is old but was clean and comfortable. The rooms are a little small, but to be expected.

This was our second stay at Reiter. If you are looking for a reasonably priced accomodation in Venice, the Lido is always a good idea, and on the Lido, Hotel Reiter offers an excellent price-performance ratio with tidy rooms and a friendly welcome. Anyhow, don't expect more than a 2-Star hotel can promise and consider having breakfast in one of the many bars next door.

I read the previous comments and by entering the hotel, i was prepared for some bad scenarios. But the only thing which was actually true is the lack of a lift. I had a room on the 4th floor, but for my age it wasnt a problem to get up. There is a air-condition system and since you cant open the roof windows, it makes the room really quiet. The room was big (for one person), and clean (every day sb did my bed :o) so i hadnt to. They serve breakfast, but only on weekends. I payed 30 Eur/night, which is really cheap for the service i got there, so I recommend it to every young traveller

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. Rooms towards the street noisy which means that windows have to be closed. However, excellent fan is provided. Only 3 minutes to the public beach.

The hotel looks good enough and the prices are really cheap considering Venice. There were a few problems like finding a bug in the bathroom. Apart from that, the rooms were pretty clean. The staff was very friendly. There was a problem with the water in the second day so we had to move to another hotel. The staff from Reiter Hotel did all the arrangements for this and they gave us an even better hotel.

On the website they said they have internetconnection. They did have that but they didn't mention you had to bring your own laptop. I had expected a computer. I was disappointed not to find that because for me this was an important reason to go to this hotel. I had expected to get new towels every day if I had used one. But this was not case. Furthermore you can leave your the key of your room at the reception desk. BUt there is not always somebody sending behind the desk which meant in this case you could easily take the key of another room and steal other one's belongings. Security is also important for me so I decided to take the key with me in stead of leaving it at the reception desk.

Owner/staff not there to welcome us when we arrived. We arrived very late in the evening, tired, and had to wait another 20 minutes/half hour for owner to return. Keys to rooms left in unsecure area where anyone off the street could walk in and take them. Staff not particularly friendly or welcoming. Website said hairdryer provided - this was not provided - I had to borrow one. Website said no money would be taken prior to stay and to pay whole amount at end of stay - part of cost was taken out of my account beforehand. Was expecting to pay the whole amount at end of stay and we took correct amount of Euros for this purpose. Member of staff who checked us out did not apologise for this.

Lovely rooms, walking distance to the beach. Lido is the perfect place to stay if you want to avoid the crowds but still visit Venice. And the vaporetto (boatbus) ride there provides beautiful views on San Marco etc. The only downside of Reiter hotel was that we lived on the third floor and had many stairs to climb.

The hotel was ok, with a simple standard and ok rooms. We had some problems with ants in our room, which was a bit uncomfortable. The employes were nice, except when we didn't want to leave our key at the hotel. They said we had to leave our key there, but often there were not anyone at the desk when we arrived - which means everyone in theory could get into the hotel, take a key and go to a room. Except from that, it was ok. The area was nice, but it was a bit expencive to get to Venezia by boat. There are only served breakfast in the weekends, so we had to go to a cafe every morning (and they were pretty expencive). Ok hotel if you're not looking for something excellent.

Good location and nice neighbourhood. It is not on the main Island and you will need to take boat to commute. This is not a problem for us. However, no air conditioning in room, kind of hot. TV is super tiny, some like 9 or 12-inch CRT. With the price we are paying, it is reasonable. If you are looking for a night to stay, this can be your choice. P.S.: free internet, but you have to plug-in ethernet cable at the ground floor cafe, sorry no wi-fi yet.

Location of this hotel was very nice; close to a beach, restaurants and within walking distance of water taxis. No elevator; our room was on the third floor so this was painful. We asked if it would be possible to switch to a first floor room and the staff was accomodating on this matter. We had booked 2 rooms for 3 people in each. When we arrived, there were no towels in the kids' room and only 2 in ours. When our son asked for towels, he was accused of having "stolen" the towels, the girls having taken them to the beach, etc. It was not a nice encounter and left a negative impression of our stay at this hotel.

The hotel was in a great location, however, I found the staff extremely rude and unhelpful. There is no lift so if you get put in a room on the third floor be prepared to carry your suitcase all the way up as none of the staff are prepared to help. There is a hotel two buildings along called Cristallo which is 100% better, I stayed there for one night after the Reiter informed us they had no rooms. There is obviously no set price at the Reiter as when I asked how much it would be for a room for a night he could not tell me and insisted I tell him how much I paid when I booked. the Cristallo had a lift which was a great help and the staff were very welcoming. I wouldn't stay at the Reiter again.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at Hotel Reiter because of its location on Lido, which was away from all the crowd of tourists in Venice. It was very convenient to get to all of the Venice sites within 30 minutes riding the Vaporetto (#1). We also liked that there were many restaurants and stores on the street between the Vaporetto station and the hotel. The room was spacious, but an elevator would have been nice given all of our luggage. There is internet access in the lobby for free, but I had trouble logging on with my laptop. There was no safe in the room. The room was very clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly. Breakfast was not included. For the price, Hotel Reiter was definitely worth it, and we would be willing to stay here again.

The room I was given at first was a complete mess : the phonic isolation is poor and I had the impression of sleeping on the street, the room was very small, the main light didn't work and some of the electric wires had no plastic anymore so that you could touch the metal inside ! Aren't there some rules about such things ? The bathroom's watertap was dirty. The hotel was quite noisy (people talking really loud at night, shouting in the stairs) and some of the employees weren't very welcoming. After complaining about my first night (which is something I never usually do) I was offered a much more spacious room, on the side of the hotel, which was much more quiet. I appreciated that greatly. However, I wonder why I was given such a bad room at first ! And I also wonder why the room I got at first was such in an unacceptable condition. 36 euros is quite a low price, but for such a sum, I still expected more.

Nice value for money. Great location on Lido main street, next to everything important. Not many services, or being interaction with the staff but that was absolutely ok. Recommended for who wants to visit Venice and sleep at a more quiet and cheap location. The only problem was the heating that couldn't be switched off.

Preis/Leistung stimmt absolut.

I think it is a good choice for tourists and young people. it is situated in a good location, 10 min. from S. Marco square. Probably I'll come back in the future and I'll suggest it to my friends.

People are nice at Hotel Reiter espacialy the propriator was good. We liked the surroundings very much. Hotel i do not know we should say this as two star or not but an average quality Hotel. However, its fine for 2-3 days stay at Venice. Its easy to access all the public transportation and Cafes. We cannot access internet very well but a common connection on the ground if u have a Laptop. Showers are interesting to use! Overall for few days its a good place to stay without any disturbance.

I arrived before the check-in time on my first day, but my room was ready and they allowed me to proceed there. It's a very basic, no frills hotel. My room was cleaned everyday but sheets not changed the three days I was there. The tv only had Italian channels and I had no hair dryer. Some people at the reception were helpful with directions. The location is good--near the vapotero, restuarants, cash machines and a supermarket. Good connections to San Marco and the airport. Lido is very charming. I paid an average of 70 euro per night which I think is a bit high given the basic facilities, but I was there during the Easter holiday.

This was a great hotel for the money. And there are plenty of pizzerias and coffee bars in the neighborhood. I would happily stay there again.

This hotel is in Lido. not the same island as venice. takes 15 minutes to get to st marks square by boat. pleasant journey though. the hotel is situated 5 minutes from the boat stop. we were given a three bed room instead of a a double room. it was a very nice and spacious room. the bathroom was nice as well. very clean. staff was very helpful. the area was nice.

I had a very good experience at the hotel. The person at the reception desk (called Rudi) was very helpful and courteous. He patiently helped us out with the tourist information we required. The room was nice and clean. The hotel is near not so expensive restaurants and is very close to the boat station. There is a supermarket close by which makes it ideal if you're on a low budget. A few things that the hotel needs to work on: - there is no lift which would make it difficult for people with heavy baggage. - the windows creak a little. - the towels need to be cleaned well. They have an awful odour. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location in a gorgeous town with lots of character and hospitable people. Perfect place to stay if you don't want to stay in Venice itself - easy enough to get there when needed. Located equdistance from lagoon to beach side of island. Reception staff mediocre, cleaning lady lovely. Room pretty basic. Shower not too small. If the hotel is full can experience problems with hot water during peak times.

We stayed just the one night during Carnevale. Staying out on the Lido was, in hindsight, a brilliant idea, as it was a relatively quiet retreat. Room was fine but at the price breakfast ought to have been inclusive. A small improvement would be double glazing to the windows facing the street, to dampen the unexpected (for Venice) sound of traffic.

In general we were satisfied with the Hotel, considering the price and time it was cheap and excellent accomodation. The only thing which was kind of annoying is that the staff have no clue about their own service. But we were satisfied with Reiter.

A real good bargin deal. I booked a single room but the hotel saw I have a big suitecase so put me in a double room at the first floor. Thanks! Room is ok and clean, but the bath room's cleaness needs to be improved. The hotel stuffs are friendly. The location is easy to access and there are restaurants and supermarket around. I enjoyed my stay!

This hotel was good value for money but you get what you pay for. The room was clean and was cleaned everyday for the week we stayed. It was very cold weather outside but the room was lovely and warm. This hotel is basic and I would not recommend the breakfast but there are lovely coffee/pastry shops on the lovely street where hotel is situated. Very close to gret water bus ride which runs 24 hours to venice. The lido is really pretty nice bars and restaurants and shops and lovely beach at other end of the road. Staff in hotel were really pleasant and kind, stayed up late to let us in on new years eve and lent me a hairdryer and gave refund for the morning when water was cold.

Very large room, very clean, but would not recommend to traveler who cares about the distance from city center since the location is a bit far from the city center (20min water bus ride which wasn't pleasant for me)

Knowing nothing of Venice, we booked with Hotel Reiter. It was a very nice room and cheap, but we didn't know that Lido is a separate island from the rest of Venice. So when ever you want to go sightseeing you have to take a 6 euro water bus to another island. That said it was wonderful.
