USA, Aug 2009
We were 4 in a room (2 adults, 2 kids) so it was a little crowded. The bathroom was a little small (ou had to have your feet in the shower to use the toilet). The staff was nice. When we checked in & requested an add'l nite, the clerk said he'd have to check w/ the owner in the AM (the request was accomodated). Campo Santa Margherita near the hotel a nice place for nightlife/restaurants. Breakfast was good & the hostess was accomodating. Easy to get to the vaporetto & close to Grand Canal. Only had to cross 1 bridge with the luggage so that was great!

We booked the Hotel Pantalon for a week for our Honeymoon. We found the hotel to be friendly, clean and well located. We'd definately recommend it!

Services are poor for a 3 stars but I guess you cannot ask for more in Venice. So my evaluation is poor but correct for anything comparable you can get in Venice.

it was a standard room in a good location. the map instructions were much too general and i know venice pretty well. breakfast room was good size and pleasant. staff was pleasant.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are small but clean. The bathroom was European style, no shower curtain. The main attraction is the location, very convenient for the water buses and also had shops and restuarants near by. However there was no internet at this hotel.

This was our stopover in Venic. The staff during the day was very nice, we had to leave for the airport at 0700 on 7/20/2008 and the nite fellow did not know how to check us out, he had to call someone. He would not let us have anythinf from the breakfast area as that started at 0730. It was 0710 when he told us no. we could not have anything. The ac was on full to keep the room not very cool.

It was so perfect, had it not been so expensive for traveling college students we would have stayed more than one night. It was worth the price. Very nice, had our own patio area.

The accomodation was quite expensive for a three star hotel, but I think thit is a general fact in Venice. Located in the centre and easy to reach from the station, it is quite noisy. The hotel is in a narrow lane and our room having been on the 1st floor, we heard every single word from outside. The space in the room was ok, but for the bathroom you have to be slim, otherwise you can't move! The staff is quite friendly, breakfast was ok for Italy. The space in the breakfast-room is limited, one morning we had to wait about 10 min. to get a seat.

The breakfast room is small. All other is nice.

The room was very small for 4 people and the bathroom "microscopic". Nevetheless, the hotel is in very good position, and all the most important places of Venice can be easily reached by walking.

Our 10th visit to Venice. The staff were excellent

This hotel is only 15 minutes walking and two bridges from the Roma parking....so if you want to walk is very easy to reach. Close to the University area. Bars Pub and resturant are cheaper then other areas.....and probably better....

The location (Dorsoduro) is more of a real Venetian neighbourhood,a little off the beaten tourist track, with more reasonable bars and restaurants, and less crowded piazzas. And yet very handy to the railway station and Piazzale Roma, for quick arrivals and departures. All of Venice's beauty and 400 bridges within walking distance.

Suite a nu problème familial, j'ai du quitter la chambre deux jours avant. Impossible de négocier un prix, j'ai même du régler les petits déjeuners que je n'ai pas consommés !!!

Very nice small hotel with friendly staff. The location is great, far enough from tourist attractions so we could buy mineral water at the local grocery store, but close enough to everything in Venice. Use the map on the hotel website to get there. Small problems with electricity and plumbing, there was some noise from the alleys in the morning, and note that the breakfast room is small and we had to wait a few minutes to get a table. Price is quite high, but Venice is expensive as a whole, and this was one of the cheaper hotels on the main island.

Good accomodation. The shower was a bit of a shock (no walls or sheeting around shower - water thus everywhere) If you going there for first time then I suggest using water transport and getting off at San Toma. Far easier to find the hotel from San Toma

quite a good hotel for the price but it would be better with an effort on the room service, the cleaning and the quietness of the rooms.

Although we had to ask a few stores where the property was located, once we arrived the host was very nice and welcoming. We found the room to be just as expected from the picture on the website. We thought the location was very good - very close in walking distance to St. Mark's square. Staff was very nice.

Excellent location, in very lively area close to Vaporetta stop, shops, bars etc. Staff mostly very friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was coffee served at breakfast - but there is a great cafe 10 metres away!

We found the hotel well situated and within 20mins walking distance of the railway station, Rialto Bridge & St Marks Sq. A street name on the location would have made it easier to find.

Overall the experience is good. One suggestion - give street name and the detailed directions to the hotel in the online listing; there is no way anyone can find it using the listed address.
