I was on a holiday with a friend.

I would not recommend this hotel. The lagoon view was accessed by climbing onto a platform and looking through a small window. Room was in the eves and the ceiling so low in the bedroom that we banged our heads and in the bathroom you couldn't stand up in the shower!

Excelent hotel and service. I was pleasantly surprised by the way they are charging the Internet service - you can purchase a 24 hour prepaid card, which is counted based on usage - basicaly, 24h will be enough for your whole stay.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for the Venice visitors. It is just across the St Marco square (across the sea on Lido island) and next to the sea and Vaperotto station almost 30 m. away. Hotel is nice, clean, quiet, the location is perfect. I loved Lido island. The main street on Lido is just 50 m. away. I believe most will love to stay in this hotel. I enjoyed my stay there.

Excellent hotel with excellent service located in excellent location - overlooking St Mark's Basin and St Mark's square in the distance and two minutes from vaporetto stop.

Overall a nice hotel, but very small rooms. We've booked a 'superior' category room with a nice view, but nevertheless really small ! Room cleanliness was very good. Breakfast also ok. Be aware that current outside construction (new landing dock) cause some noise during weekdays.

Staying in Lido was the best decision made on this trip with staying at the Hotel Panorama making it even better. Nicola and all the hotel staff were fabulous. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Venere.com was excellent as it offered us the lagoon view room we wanted at a reasonable price (all other websites including the hotel's own showed the lagoon view room as not available for the dates we travelled). However the view wasn't up too much when we got there as we were not on the front of the building facing Venice. Also you had too walk to the corner of the room and up two steps to look through the Velux window to see the view! The reception staff were fantastic giving us first time travellers to Venice lots of useful information.

A wonder - corresponding to the wonders of Venice itself - the view - the rooms - the staff - out of my many trips to the city this hotel takes the price !!

The Lido is a nice small community away from the hubbub of the mainland. Not much going on in the winter months when we were there, however the summertime must be wonderfull...The hotel is a good value for what you are paying, very accomadating staff, great location...The room was small as most are in Venice, the only thing that could be improved was the breakfast, it was just ok....

2nd time we have stayed at this property. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants value for money in Venice. The rooms are spacious, the location is great, only 10 minutes from San Marco in vaporetto. The staff all speak English & are very friendly. The breakfast is excellent with a great choice of meats & cheese.Venice Lido is a great place in it`s own right but also a great location for visiting all of Venice. Hope to return next year.

El hotel esta perfectamente ubicado, las habitaciones si bien no son grandes estan muy limpias, todo el personal fue muy amable. Volvería al mismo hotel si tuviese que ir nuevamente a Venecia

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Nothing too much trouble for the staff and the food was excellent. The room was also very good, noisy but we expected this as we wanted to be at the front with all the "action" going on. The view was amazing! Will go there again without hesitation.

Excelent hotel, staff welcoming and very helpful. Hotel was easy to find, not like the usual Venice accomodation. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice. Single rooms were spacious and good value and plenty of room in the double rooms. Would definitely come to this hotel again.

Excellent choice in expensive Venice. It is right at the vaporetto stop for Venice Lido. Just 10 minutes to St MArks square on the vaporetto. Lovely, spacious rooms and baths. Excellent breakfast (the best I had in Italy) and a helpful staff.

Ups: 1) Great TV - best we had in Italy (plenty of English channels). 2) Free trip to Murrano 3) Great location - right across the ferry to venice and close to main street in Lido. 4) Room - we had a room with three windows, nice view to the lagoon even though the room was considered standard. Downs: 1) The site mention Internet service - but with a price of 10 euros per day (with mandatory to pay for all nights ahead) 2) Parking very small - only 3-4 cars can fit in (make sure to indicate it in your reservation in case you need it). 3) Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. There is a coffee machine to make coffee, but they charge extra(!) for hot drinks not taken from the machine. Overall: nice hotel. A bit too expenssive in relation to the overall services. General note: for those arriving with a car - better book a reservation to the ferry for your way back.

Decent hotel, nice breakfast and a convenient location near the boat stop at Lido. It takes about twenty minutes by boat to the main points of interest in Venice. We stayed in a superior room that wasn't up to our expectations, since it had only a small balcony with side view to Venice, but we didn't have any other complaints. The trip to Murano that was included in the price was a big disappointment, because we had to stay in the shop for hours after the exhibition, probably until we bought something. We went out for fresh air and they said that they wouldn't get us back to the hotel, so we had to take a public boat. That doesn't mean that the hotel is responsible for this behavior, because the trip is for free and one can choose not to take it. The hotel staff was helpful and suggested many tours around Venice.

Loved the staff here most of all! They were just so welcoming and helpful. They upgraded our room and we were very happy with that. It is noisy without closing the outdoor shutters because it's right by the boat dock and in front of a well traveled road---but at night, that all subsides and again, with the wood shutters closed, it was fine. Lovely bathroom with jacuzzi tub!! Breakfast was very nice. All in all, loved it and was happy we stayed there. Beautiful little island!

One of our favorite vacation hotels in all of Europe. Fabulously large rooms in otherwise cramped Venice. The hotel is a quick 5 minute vaporetto ride from Piazza San Marco and it is actually nice to have a break from the crowds of the city. The staff of this hotel was easily the most pleasant and helpful we've ever encountered anywhere in Europe. They even reopened the bar one night to make my wife a hot chocolate after a cold evening walk. The breakfasts have good variety and during the summer are served al fresco. This has become our standard for hotels in Venice.

Great location at the vaporetto stop in Lido. Our room had a superb view across the lagoon to Venice. Room and public places were very comfortable. Staff was extrodinarily helpful with directions and finding out-of-the-way places for us.

The hotel is very pleasant and quiet, well located next to the vaporettolocated. The staff were very professional and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will be staying at the Panorama in our next visit to Venice.

Perfect base for exploring Venice. I loved that unlike most hotels in Venice, this hotel was very close to and visible from the vaparetto stop. As a single female traveller, I felt very safe returning to the hotel each night and appreciated being away from all the crowds and high prices of Venice.

All aspects of the hotel, staff and facilities were very good indeed. We had an illness whilst there and the help from the staff was no less than brilliant. We had a superior double bedroom that overlooked the lagoon with a previously known and thus anticipated problem of 24-hour noise from the Lido Waterbus terminal directly opposite from the hotel - not a complaint as the views more than compensated for the noise, but future guests should be aware they may need to use the air conditioning at night rather than open the balcony windows. Overall, we could not fault the stay. Would return next time we stay in Venice.

My stay at the Panorama was fine, very friendly, considerate and helpful staff. A good selection of enjoyable food available fo breakfast. Room and bathroom facilities were excellent.Breakfast room was also excellent. One critism I would make was that tea or coffee had to be made by the guest in a cup using hot water from a machine. Considering the the Panorama is a 4**** hotel I would have expected coffee to be served already made in a pot, or served on request by dining room staff.

Rooms in Europe and especially Venice can be expensive. We decided to stay on the Lido to have a larger room with a view for a moderate price. This hotel and our Double Superior room fit the bill perfrectly. Our view was panoramic of Venice and getting there was only a short ferry boat ride. The hotel is next to the sometimes noisy ferry dock but the double-pain windows block the noise from the room. The room was large enough, very clean and up to date. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Lido is also interesting to explore. If we should return to Venice, we would stay at the Panorama.

Very easy to find. Very helpful and courteous staff. Free bottle of sparkling wine as it was our honeymoon - drank out on the terrace with a great view of Venice. Overalll, excellent location away from crowds with good restaurants nearby. Room was a little small but would certainly stay at Panorama again.

For the area the hotel is excellent value, unfortunately hotels in Venice are generally very expensive. The hotel was very easy to find, being directly opposite the Lido waterbus terminus, this should be made more clear on the website. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, very proactive in ensuring you have all the information you require. If they offer you a free tour of the glass factory take it, we met other people who had paid $50 for the same. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very warm welcome; you feel at home. Indeed you can be in 10 minutes on the st. Marco squaire. It is a relief to sail back in the evening from the crowded town to the Lido, and start the next morning, refreshed, all over again!

The staff at the Panorama was absolutely excellent, as was the location. We usually stay in Venice around San Marco Plaza and pay at least three times more than the Hotel Panorama -- in the future, we're booking here. With the ferry right on its doorstep, it's easy to hop to Venice and the other islands. All around excellent place to stay.
