Our stay in VENEZIA was great. The hotel is located just in front of a vaporetto station which is a big advantage. We have been welcomed very friendly and all the staff was very attentive to our needs. They provided us plenty of recomendations for a fruitful visit of the city. They are also very keen to promote teir hotel's chain which is NH hotels. Thanks a lot for your recommandation and the prices negociated.

The NH Manin is like a lovely little jewel on the Grand Canal. We had room 303 and it was spacious and lovely! We also had a partial view of the Grand Canal. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was fantastic! Having a vaporetto stop at your front door doesn't hurt either! The only drawback was that it was a little farther from St. Marks Square than we would have liked but it was also very quiet. The terrace is absolutely beautiful and was a great place to have an afternoon cappuccino or cocktail in the evening. I can highly recommend the NH Manin!

Very helpful staff and a wonderful location on the Grande Canal. A nice breakfast but the room was pathetic for the price even by European standards. We can' recommend.

We have been at Hotel Manin before and will come back again. Perfekt location to walk through San Marco and travel on Grand Canal but live a little away from main track. Vaporetto station San Angelo direct in front of the hotel makes it very comfy but also a little noisy.

The Hotel is ideally located at Vaporetto Stop San Angelo. The Breakfast is served in an attractive setting and the selection of food at the buffet was generous. I enjoyed my time at Hotel NH Manin and would certainly visit again.

I have stayed here twice now - an excellent hotel. Friendly staff, generous breakfast, very clean. The map on this website is inaccurate - the hotel is actually on the Grand Canal, about 8 steps from the St Angelo vaporetto stop, so perfect for those unable to walk great distances. I would stay here again.

There is currently scaffolding from top to toe and surrounding the entire building. If we had known this we wouldn't have booked this hotel. As we had a toddler we were placed in a corner room which is typical of most hotels. We couldn't open our windows as we had the air conditioning machines blowing out hot air. The room was very small and we had a brick wall as our view and when we had a shower the water went everywhere because the shower curtain was over the window and not the actual bath. Not sure about the hotels logic on that one. My son slipped several times due to the water being everywhere. I was incredibly angry and unhappy and went and complained and was given a room which was smaller but had a shower with a shower screen so was a little better. The evening hotel staff were very rude and unhelpful. The only good thing was the breakfast where the food was actually topped up and and there was a variety of food. The hotel is in a good quiet location but after the service we received we won't be returning.

The hotel is ideally positioned for the tourist - on the Grand Canal bang next to Sant'Angelo waterbus stop, and easy for walking anywhere (take a good map - don't rely on the freebie from the hotel!). The Venere website map locates it a long way inland, so needs correcting. Like Venice itself, the Hotel has a slightly 'tired' feel - especially the lift, which sounded tired too - and the bath/shower screen leaked over the floor. However, overall we thought the hotel was very good indeed (we stayed in a second-floor Junior Suite overlooking the Grand Canal) and we would stay there again. We have already recommended it to some friends.

First time staying in the hotel. Staff very helpfull. Excellent location to explore Venice. Breakfast room small but this did not lead to any difficulties during stay. Bedroom adequate in size but clean & well maintained. Although hotel is very close to water bus stop making it easy to get to the hotel, noise was not an issue. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Room 210 was small, plaster falling on the floor and the bed linens and headboard were very stained. I ask to be moved and was to room 105 possibly as punishment no view at all but the mechanical equipment outside my window. I liked the common areas and the water taxi stop was easy. I just wanted a typical room like what was shown on the web. I am in Italy once a year for 3 weeks, the Manin might see me again, this time I stayed 3 nights.

Excellent location on grand canal , but in a quiet backwater.Great views from rooms overlooking canal.Reception staff great. breakfast dsiasterous: too few tables/staff.One public sitting area by front door and one in the back with newspapers.Plumbing pretty basic. Even in huge bedroom , bathroom was small and skimpy.

We had the 3rd floor balcony room overlooking the grand canal, what a wonderful view, worth the high price. The location was great, could not have been better. The canal rooms are noisy but the view made it all worth it. Breakfast was very good with all the normal stuff. The bar was great and service was excellent. When the dollar improves we'll be back.

The hotel is beautiful, the location perfect. The helpfulness of the staff was below expectations, however. Also, the "bar" is merely the breakfast room. When we ordered sandwiches there one evening, the barteneder apologized as he brought us the food saying, "I'm sorry for the food, I don't really know how to prepare it."

We stayed in a double deluxe room during the holidays. It was a beautiful, spacious room, with marble floors and a view of the Grand Canal if we looked out the windows at an angle. However, it was also a bit loud. I'm not that light of a sleeper, but I still woke up a few times during the night as vaporettos docked at the San Angelo stop right in front of the hotel. Nice location between Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco.

The hotel was excellent. We stayed in a junior suite looking out over the Grand Canal.Wonderful views of gondola phalanxes passing by. Breakfast was nice. Bit of noise from vaporetti in the night but not too bothersome.

We enjoyed a lovely room with large balcony overlooking the Grand Canal, which thoroughly justified the cost. The hotel is lovely, the staff very friendly, and the breakfast most excellent. The location is perfect for reaching all parts of Venice, and the convenience of the vaporetto stop a bonus if you are travelling further afield than the city, although we walked most everywhere. Arriving by water taxi to the hotel door is an experience we will repeat in the future. We would go back to the Manin.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Access to the hotel is excellent since it is only a few steps away from the St. Angelo vaporetti stop. First of all, they were very accomadating after we were delayed by a day from the original reservation. PierreLuc and Paolo were very helpful with things to do and directions around the city. They recomended very good places to eat. The breakfast buffet was the best of our three week trip. The room was small but pleasant. The bed was very large and comfortable. The Framin Hotel Manin was very nice. My short stay was pleasant. The view from my room was outstanding and the location perfect for sightseeing. A sugestion for improvement would be to have coffee available for early risers. We had jet lag the first morning; I was up at 6am. The second morning we had to leave for the airport at 4am. It was hours before we could get coffee or food. Also an ice machine would be nice; Americans are spoiled for these 2 conviences. A couple at the airport said their hotel packed a little bag for them of sweet rolls and a couple of pieces of fruit. Venice was a trip of a lifetime for us and we will never forget this wonderful place. THANK YOU for your hospitality.>>Brenda

The Hotel was lovely, and our room looked on to the Grand Canal as requested. The Hotel was spotless and the rooms immaculate. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. While the price for our stay was rather high, the service and quality of our stay was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable and had all the ammenities, and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous, going out of their way to provide information and assistance. Breakfast on the patio was lovely as well! The only point that I would suggest the hotel emphasizing during booking would be the water taxi information. When we arrived at the Venezia train station, the girl in the Information Office told us to get off at the Rialto stop, which led us to wander the streets of Venice with suitcases in tow for 1.5 hours! Of course, we were upset (and happy at the same time) to see that there was a taxi stop directly in front of the hotel upon our arrival! While I vaguely remembered reading this on the website during my booking, it had slipped my mind. I would highly emphasize this to guests during booking since Venezia is not the easiest city to navigate with heavy suitcases! Plus- having a taxi stop directly in front of the hotel is a huge selling point to travelers since there are no cars in Venezia to take them to their hotel with luggage! An even bigger ammenity would be to provide private hotel water transportation to guests!

Everything was PERFECT! I asked my girlfriend to marry me right off my room balcony. She was so impressed with everything. Top location; easy to get to (two stops from Rialto on the no 1 vaporetto, direction San Marco) and very very central; Canal Grande literally on your doorstep. Efficient, english spoken and very polite (it appears mostly indian) staff. Rooms are modernized rather than 'modern'; smallish but comfortable, well kept and well equipped; good beds; soundproofed double windows; airco etc. Rather small breakfast room with limited seating though breakfast buffet is OK and offers choise. Note that only suites offer canal vieuws. Would visit this hotel again.

Very nice hotel, fabulous location just 10m from vaporetto stop (although this might be a good reason to request a room at the rear of the hotel as we did). Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast very good. Our room was a little noisy due entirely to the occupiers of the neighbouring room which was not the hotel's fault - who watches TV at 4am in Venice at full volume?!?!? We were pleasantly suprised with this room. We had a balcony overlooking grand canal and we could see Rialto bridge...room 103. The water bus stop was just to left of hotel, so it was easy to get evrerywhere including train and airport. Staff was unbelieveable! Hotel Manin is a gem. Hotel staff is wonderful. Rooms are incredible (smallish, but expected for Venice, where space is at a premium). No internet service, but if you're going to Venice to hang out on the internet, you should have your head examined. They are AT the San Angelo water bus stop on line 1. Right there. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast garden. Our rooms had a lot of space and were very clean, nice furniture. The junior suite with a great view on the canal grande had a king size bed (we stayed there 2 nights). The standard double rooms had no view, smaller beds but a large bathroom (we stayed there some more nights in order to save some money). We travelled with a 9 month infant and were given a room with three beds at no extra charge. We would recommend this hotel to others because we had a great time there. If you want a typical Venice-experience make sure you book at least one night in a junior suite, otherwise you'll miss the feeling of living on the canal.

We were very pleased with our room at the Framon Hotel Manin (180 Euro per night for a double room). Excellent location as it was situated next to a vaporetto (water bus) stop and made getting around very easy. Never heard any noise from the vaporetto stop either. Stayed in Room #114, which had a balcony that went to the front of the hotel. The room was clean and nice, although a bit small. The air conditioning was excellent during the 90 degree+ weather we had while there. The breakfast was really good – scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, etc – and served in a nice garden. Great hotel! We enjoyed not being to close to St. Mark's square, even though we were only 10 minutes easy walk to get there. The 2 other tiimes I was in Venice I did not take the time to explore the interior of Venice, but did this time because of the location of the hotel. Very clean and the breakfast was excellent. Very handy that it is right near the San Angelo water taxi/bus stop.

I was looking for a nice, modern hotel in central but yet quiet surroundings and that was exactly what I found. It is on the Grand Canal, and has a nice garden at the back overlooking a quiet square, where breakfast is served. What I enjoyed the most about this hotel was that it is removed from the major crowded tourist area, but you can get there within a few minutes walk if that is what you want. The room I had (a single room) was small but bright and very nicely decorated in light colours. It must have been 3.5 meters to the ceiling, which added spaciousness to the room. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. One complaint I have is that my room was not exactly sound-proof. I had a noisy couple staying in the next room and could basically hear every word they said. I got the receptionist to phone them at one in the morning to ask them to be quieter, and things got better after that. Also, be aware that the web-site can be a bit misleading, with the rooms displayed being suites. Regular rooms are smaller than indicated on the website and do not have a view towards the Grand Canal (which is not necessarily a drawback as the back view is very nice indeed and the rooms quieter), and they do not have terraces. The hotel is very easy to find; take the water shuttle from the airport to the San Marco, and then change to the No. 1 water bus to Sant Angelo. The hotel is then directly in front of you. Alternatively take a taxi or bus to Piazzale Roma and again take the No. 1 water bus.

We were very pleased with the spacious, comfortable room. The location was great. It was close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay until the morning we checked out and there was no hot water. None. To make matters worse, the gentleman at the front desk told us we were incorrect. He said there had to be hot water because he had checked the water on all floors. The question comes to mind - why would you even check the water temperature if that wasn't an ongoing issue at your hotel? Hmmm.

We paid for a location on the Grand Canal. The web site led you to believe that the standart rooms would not be on the Canal, but would have windows overlooking the garden. However, they have 6 to 8 rooms giving on a tiny courtyard and just overlooking the Hotel's air conditioning unit. You had to crane your neck to see the sky. The room was also much smaller than the photographs led you to believe and didn't have any charm. It didn't even have a bathtub. When we mentioned to the personnel that we were expecting more from a 4 star hotel, they did not seem to care and just told us that we should have taken a Superior Room (at double the price). Apart from this, the common facilities and the garden are nice. The breakfast is OK.

Excellent Location on Grand Canal. Professional and helpful service at all times. Thought the room was a little tight, but spotless and quiet. The breakfast garden was pleasant and the breakfast offering was good. Will certainly stay here again

I highly recommended this hotel , good location and easily accessable by waterbus. Though the room is very small and the decoration is very cosy and great air conditioning system in Hot Summer time. The breaskfast in the terrace is great in good day , too.

As someone who is generally critical of hotels it gives me pleasure to say that the hotel was absolutely great. The staff were very helpful and caring, location wonderful. When we return to Venice, which we will, there will be no question that we will go back to this hotel. Two small complaints. 1. The room smelt of stale cigarette smoke but after keeping the windows open this eventually went away. 2. The coffee at breakfast tasted as if it had come out of a thermos flask; in view of the wonderful coffee elsewhere in Italy this was a little sad. Neither of these small matters, however, caused us to review our overall opinion that the hotel was a gem!

The Hotel Framon is perfect for a weekend stay in Venice. It's located right next to a vaparetto stop just down from the Rialto. We could not fault the location. Far enough away from Piazza S Marco to get away from the crowds but still close enough to everything you want to be near. The hotel itself is excellent. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the Grand Canal and you could look up to the Rialto. The staff were excellent, really informative and helpful. We also had breakfast included which was a simple but tasty continental affair which we ate in the hotel garden. In summary, an excellent hotel in a superb location.

This was a great hotel, for a great price, during the off season in Venice. It is located close to a stop on the grand cannel and is just a 10 minute walk to St. Mark’s square. Our only gripe was that we were told when we checked in that there was a laundry service available. When we tried to avail ourselves of the service we were told it did not operate on the weekend. We’d been traveling in Italy for a week and urgently needed to do some laundry, we assumed, and initially had confirmed, that a four star hotel could provide such a simple service. This was very inconvenient. Otherwise a great hotel.

You are not going to find a better hotel in Venice for 90 Euro per night. Period. And it's on the Grand Canal on the north bank of the San Marco section AND with a vaporetto stop right out front. Very pleasant surprise. Would stay there again.

We were really satisfied because we had a suite on the top of the hotel with overview on the Grand Canal at the lowest price (classic room) just because there was availability (they said).

Would highly recommend this hotel for a perfect stay. Ideal access to public transport and perfect location in heart of town. No struggle with luggage as boat stops directly in front of the building. Only 1 change from the airport. Well trained staff is very helpful with reservations, restaurants, shopping etc. Various languages spoken. Rooms are spacious and breakfast is absolutely OK for southern european standards (face it, you are not travelling the US). Breakfast room is strictly No Smoking. Excellent value, will definitely return.

Overall an excellent hotel and staff, the breakfasts were very good but the rooms were let down by the lack of tea making facilities and the amount of television noise that carried through from adjoining rooms at night.

We travel extensively. We liked three things in particular here. First, the helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Second, the quality of the hotel itself. Third, the location.

The front desk staff were wonderful. Very helpful and pleasant. My room was comfortable and I loved the oversized tub. I am planning on returning. The location of the hotel right on the canal with a bus stop was an added plus.

This was a perfect place. The front desk people were so helpful and aided us in so many ways to make our stay perfect. Because we were staying 6 nights, our rooms were upgraded, nice touch. Although not on or next to St. Mark's it is still only a brief walk to the Square, and the price and service is well worth the walk.

The hotel was well located, next to San Angelo waterbus stop on the Grand Canal. Rialto Bridge can be seen from the front of the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. They spoke English very well. The room was clean and well decorated. Breakfast was of a high standard with a good choice of food. This hotel was good value.
