The island of Murano is in a strategic position in the center of the Venetian lagoon. Reaching the island of Murano is very fast, easy, and convenient. From Santa Lucia train station or Piazzale Roma, it takes 15 minutes on the public waterbus DM (Diretto Murano). From the airport it is a 15 minute journey stopping at the first stop “Murano Colonna”. The public waterbuses are guaranteed from Murano into Venice proper and back every 10 minutes throughout the day, and frequent services throughout the evening/night. (Journey time: 5 minutes)

Excellent decor and super friendly service. Unexpectedly got a terrace with our reasonably priced room. The hotel owner was very gracious, answered all of our questions and made suggestions of sites we'd like to see and how to get there. Great for looking around the outer lagoon (Murano, Burano or San Michele) and an easy vaporetto ride to the main neighborhoods of Venice until late night. The best place we stayed in Italy!

How to reach Hotel Murano Palace

By car
You can park at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma, lines 42 and DM (Diretto Murano) will take you to the Murano Colonna stop.

By train
In front of the S. Lucia train station you will find the platform for lines 42 and DM (Diretto Murano) to the Murano Colonna stop.

By airplane
From the Venice Marco Polo Airport you can take advantage of the direct water bus connection on the ALILAGUNA BLUE lines, to the Murano Colonna stop (frequency: approximately 20 minutes).

By public transportation
