The hotel has good location, situated in a quiet, near the points of the vaporetto. The only problem was with the air conditioned room that was too weak for the summer days. Gerl in the service is good.

Our major concern was the location and canal view. This hotel is very close to piazzale roma which is the main station both for bus and train. Especially if you have an early departure like us, you better not get far away from piazzale roma. Our second concern was the canal view. My gf espeacially wanted to watch canal from our window, although the view of canal you have is a bit smaller than the others, its ok. Breakfast is also great. Regarding a cost of a regular breakfast in Venice, you already save getting up early and having free breakfast at the hotel.

Fantastic location. Very close to main bus area. If you have a big luggage, the hotel is very convenient to go to from the bus station (especially if you travel at night). However, once you get to the hotel, you might have to carry the luggage 3 flights up.

Type and number of rooms available is unknown and I could not therefore mark it spaciousness of rooms scored a low number as the bedroom and en-suit were very small but we were aware of this and the whole experience was very good value for money in what can otherwise be a very expensive city. The area is very close 3 to 5 mins walk from the bus station once you can get your bearings A little extra advice an directions would be helpfull Quiet local area easy to get around

Locanda Salieri is a wonderful place to stay. The location is superb, being close to public transport and to all sights in venice. The staff are excellent, and the breakfasts superb. We highly recommend Locanda Salieri - one of the best hotels we staued at in our 7 weeks holiday.

We have just come back from a two-days holiday in Venice to see the Carnival. Locanda Salieri is a quiet, clean, lovely place to stay. People working there are friendly and welcoming, they speak foreign languages and proved very helpful in giving us any sort of information we requested. The location is quiet, really near the station but at the same time fifteen minutes walk from everything (if you don't like walking, the vaporetto is close enough). They also own a restaurant, where they serve breakfast in the morning, which is very nice. Nice price, great place to stay for a holiday in Venice. Highly recommended!

The hosts were wonderfully accommodating, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The location is especially ideal when coming to Venice for the first time, as it is easy to get there from the bus stop (compared to most parts of Venice!). The included breakfast was fabulous.

Very close to Piazzale Rome [the hub for public transportation in Venice] yet difficult to found in the night (a lot of canals, bridges, small streets... a good map is needed - or maybe a GPS!) small, clean and quiet room; maybe a little bit over priced but... that's Venice... however, good breakfast, kind and helpful staff; poor WiFi Internet access but one of the very few things free of charge in this beautiful and expensive town :-) overall, a good experience!

The hotel is in an excellent location for the main bus terminal/port. It is only about 3min walk from bus stop but you do have to go over two small bridges. Arrived after midnight was not a problem. We had a small top floor bedroom with ensuite, all tidy and clean, although the stairs to the top (no lift) was quite hard work. Next door was breakfast room, very nice and no rush. Would we stay again? yes for one night if catching cruise etc next day but possibly pay a bit more if staying longer. Good value but basic, owner friendly.

My only problem was when I encountered the aqua alta (high tide). It was difficult to go in or out of the hotel without getting your feet wet mainly at around 11pm and 2pm.This could be easily solved by laying planks in front of the entrance.Otherwise this is a very good hotel and I recommend it.

Good facilities for money.Very welcoming english speaking staff.A good breakfast in a nice quiet garden. Easy 10 minutes walk from railway station and Grand Canal. Our room was on 3rd floor with no elevator, no problem for us but may be difficult for some people. Room was very small but had all the facilities we required. We would come back again if we ever return to Venice.

We had a good experience at Locanda Salieri. The room was very small, as we had expected, as was the bathroom. Everything worked properly. Although it was a bit hard to move around the room, it was comfortable and very clean. One of the concierges especially (the blond woman, I forget her name) spoke excellent English and was very friendly. It was quite expensive since we went in May, but it was not a long walk (maybe 20 min) from San Marco. Pack light, though: you'll have to go up and down lots of stairs to get there from where the bus shuttle stops from the airport!

It was a 1 day/night stay in this cosy hotel just a 2 min walk away from the main bus transport with busses coming from and going to Marco Polo airport. It is a very quiet and relaxing area away from the touristy centre and there are some good restaurants and shops in walking distance. Piazza San Marco/Palazzo Ducale can be easily reached by the water ferry station nearby. From the room you have a beautiful look onto on of the smaller canals of the lagoon. One bonus: Although not having booked we were offered free breakfast next morning. Overall a very good experience.

It was scheduled that we'd stay there for 5 night but we missed the flight so it became 4 nights, the staff was helpful on that and our check in was smooth. we arrived at marco polo airport and took the shuttle bus. the hotel was not difficult to find, just took 10 min from the bus station. The district is neat and quiet. At this price, the room was very clean and well equipped, afterall venice is really expensive. Just one thing, it'd be perfect if a kettle is provided in the room.

Superb one-star hotel situated 5 mins walk from Pizale Roma and about 25 mins from St Marks Square. Our room ( no.4 ), whilst smallish, had a balcony overlooking a canal which provided a delightful view to wake up to each morning. Breakfast is served in adjoining restaurant - in the garden when weather is good. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. We would definitely, and probably will, go back to this hotel.

Avoid this place. When we reached the hotel we were told we had been transferred to a sister property. The excuse for not calling us to inform us of this change was that their phone was not working. This hotel is in a run down area and the 'lobby' is just a desk beside a drab hallway and stairs, so we were actually happy for the relocation. We were given walking directions and 1 Euro for a gondola shuttle - take it or leave it. It was quite a distance with no options for our luggage except to drag it ourselves. The sister property is run by the Art Deco Hotel, (which looked nice) but our room was in a different building a short block away. (Our room was clean, but very basic). The Art Deco staff were very good and I would recommend trying that place ...as long as you are guaranteed a room there.

The room was small but clean. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning was hardly working at all and the room was uncomfortably hot. Staff at the hotel were perfectly pleasant but made no enquiries as to whether everything was OK. At night, there was a lot of noise from the adjoining restaurant. However, the restaurant was very good but the service was slow.

Hotel Locanda Salieri exceeded our expectations. We stayed two times, once with a room on the canal and once with a room on the garden. Both rooms were spacious enough and very clean and comfortable. You have noise regardless of location--the canal is a noisy place especially first thing in the morning and the garden is noisy at night due to people dining there and then kitchen staff cleaning up until early morning hours. However this slight inconvenience is outweighed by the price, location, cleanliness and courtesy of staff. Also we thought the breakfast was very good. There realy are no public areas in the hotel. They do have a very handy space, however, to hold your luggage.

Our first trip to Venice in February. Beautiful weather cold but bright. Small friendly clean hotel with huge pink church in back garden - simple but adequate breakfast in restaurant next door - 10 minutes on foot from rail and bus termini and Grand Canal restaurants and sights all around. Buy a 2 or 3 day ticket for waterbuses and probably a museum pass. Visit tiny corner cafes for coffees and glasses of wine. We took a water bus to St Mark's Square on Valentine's night - perfect!

Excellent location, although the hotel itelf is easy to miss - look for the Ristorante Ribo and the hotel entrance is under the canopy. The hotel is fairly basic but spotlessly clean and much better than many hotels of higher ratings. It has everything you need and in Venice you will not spend much time in a hotel. The cleaner is very enthusiastic, didn't just clean the room but moved and tidied our posessions. Breakfast is in the restaurant next door which is again spotlessly clean, and although the choice was limited, the croissants and rolls were lovely and fresh and you can have as much coffee as you like. Overall, a great budget hotel and we would definitely recommend it.

Rooms are exactly like shown on the pictures, they are basic and get cleaned every day. Hotel is close to piazzala roma so you don't need to walk to far with your luggage, there is no elevator in the building so you need to carry your suitcase up the stairs. Breakfast is in hotel Ribo (next door): coffee/tea, fruit juice, breadbasket with jams, ham and cheese. So all standard but what more do you need? i would come back here anytime and recommend it to anyone. Most things in venice are within walking distance but we had a venice card so that you could take any vapporetto whenever you're tired and it also included some musea/churches.

Venice is too expensive. The hotel is not very expensive compared with other hotels, but it is very simple and with no luxury at all, so for this price in spain you can find very better hotels... The room is enough but a little bit old. The bathroom is completely new and very clean. The location is good if you don't want to stay in a noisy zone... Walking to turist center is about ten minutes, and the walk is very grateful.
