Excellent location, very good breakfast, nice-sized rooms, very clean bathrooms, and friendly service. Excellent value for the price in Venice.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful view of Grand Canal from common sitting area. We were able to leave bags after check out to tour city. Would stay here again.

Very nice hotel in a small palazzio on the grande canale. Rooms are spacious, very clean, quiet and charming. The staff is very helpful to book tables at good restaurants in the area

The Locanda is housed on the third floor of a building overlooking a beautiful venetian street. Our room was one of the two overlooking the Grand Canal significantly more expensive than the others. It was worth every penny, with three windows and a full view of the Grand Canal, it is simply enchanting. Marta and her mother who own and operate the Locanda are delightful and helpful with directions and suggestions. The four restaurants they recommended made our experience even more special. If you can go!

We stayed for 5 nights with our 2 children, during the big "acqua alta". The staff provided us boots to allow us to go outside of the hotel, as Venise was under water for half a day. It was funny ! Everything was perfect in this hotel, which we strongly recommend.

Super Hotel, small, family-run, extremely friendly staff, breathtaking view on the canale grande. In the middle of busy shopping area, but quiet in a historic building. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit and roles. This place is a jewel in the heart of Venice. I and my three friends would go again anytime.

When we buzzed the bell and opened the door to the "secret" courtyard, we were transported to a magic spot. We loved the location, the view of the Grand Canal from the common room, the very nice breakfast, the lowest level with its boat dock that seemed like something from ancient Rome. Then when you step back into the street, there are nice shops, restaurants and bakeries, and a short walk to Rialto Bridge and the Rialto Market, and on to Piazza San Marco. It was just as easy to walk, in the early morning, away from the crowds. We weren't able to get in to restaurants the staff recommended on the other side of the canal, but found some great alternatives away from the main tourist areas. Our stay at Santi Apostoli was a fabulous ending to our trip.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice view from the public space (living room of this thotel), sufficient breakfast with variety and kind hotel staffs. The matress of the bed was a little soft for us but overall we are very much satisfied.

Small-ish room but very good for the price. Beautiful old building in an excellent location. Very helpful staff. All in all a very good place to stay in Venice, which I would recommend to anyone.

Now that I know Venice (everything is super-expensive), I suppose the hotel is what you would expect at that rate. We walked through a dilapidated courtyard to the oldest, smallest elevator we had ever seen, to take the elevator up to the hotel lobby. The paint in our lime-green color room was cracked, and we wondered whether the mirror and paintings on the wall were genuine rennaisance artifacts. When the hostess took the bedspread off, dust flew into the air. At least the bathroom was new, modern, and clean.

Beautiful location in the heart of Venice, great common area to gather, breakfast room was very pretty and the food and service were superb! All the staff at this hotel went beyond the call of duty. When we encountered a problem with a car at the airport, we were given so much assistance to make everything come together as planned, we were even escorted to the water taxi to say goodbye. You could not ask for more. Thanks.
