I don't think this hotel qualifies as a 4-star hotel. The rooms were VERY small, but I paid for a double-occupancy. Although the exterior had a face-lift and looks modern, the interiors looks old and need of repairs or new paint. However, the hotel is in a very very good location and since we had a car, we were very happy that we were able to park free of charge in the hotel's lot.

We had nice 10 days at Lido. This is a perfect place to stay near Venice in the summertime. We were at the beach during the day and took the boat to Venice in the evenings. Nice Hotel, very good location. Should have free internet access (costs 5 Euro for 1 hour).

It has been our third stay at this hotel. Reason is the good location, just a few minutes from Macus Place. The breakfast was quite poor. Every day the same Salami, cheese, scramled eggs&ham. That's it. A bit more inspiration would do wonder in the land of quality food.

I would highly recommend this location because it is outside of Venice central but easily accessible to Venice central. Our family enjoyed travelling the water taxis to the city as well as having the beach close by to enjoy when you're not sightseeing. The water taxis are pricey but you can buy weekly passes which makes it more economical. The hotel is located close to the taxi service, a supermarket and great family restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were a group of 2 Mums & 2 Daughters going to Venice to celebrate end of exams and a 16th birthday! We chose to stay on the Lido as it gave us the option of spending time on the beach as well as seeing the cultural side of Venice. The hotel was very conveniently placed near the watertaxi stop-2mins to drag cases from the boat to the hotel. Also right next to supermarket. Our rooms were clean & a good size for us,the bathrooms are very RED! Breakfast was good with lots of buffet food to tank-up with for the day-my friend's only complaint was the 'awful' coffee!(I didn't think it was that bad!)We were very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again.A great weekend break!

This was our first stay on the Lido, on previous visits we stayed in the centre of Venice. The staff at the hotel were excellent from the moment we arrived, they were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is just a couple of minutes from the waterbus so it was very convenient to get to anywhere in Venice. The Lido beaches are only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We really enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere on the Lido and found the restaurants less crowded and cheaper than central Venice. We would recommend Le Boulevard if you want to do all the sightseeing in Venice combined with a more relaxed space in the evening for drinks and dinner.

The hotel is centrally located and therefore convenient. The hotel staff is the main strength of the hotel. They are warm, kind, and considerate in their ensurance that you have a comfortable stay. The full American breakfast each morning was a surprising highlight of the stay. Two suggestions would be that of having a stronger internet connection for the rooms and also a microwave.

I think the Hotel caters to people who are looking for peace amid beautiful surroundings of the Island Lido while being in Venice. It also has an amazing beach for people who like the sun and the shore. We stayed in a double room which was spacious and opened up on the main Elizabeth SM road which has one of the most wonderful range of shops and cafes

The external quietness of the rooms is OK (low traffic on Lido) , you can hear your neighbour coughing. The location of the hotel is excellent, prices for two persons in a restaurant on Lido are from 35,- to 50,- two courses and wine, which is attractive compared to down town prices.

This hotel is refined and friendly. The staff are courteous, immensely helpful, and generally professional. There was street noise on Friday and Saturday evenings, but not too late, and the area surrounding the hotel has both a major street (for shops and caffes) and tranquil residences off the main street, where we walked several times during our stay. I would recommend the hotel. Let them know ahead of time if you want the 'matrimonial' bed -- two twins joined.

Our family decided to stay preferebly on Lido island, instead of crowded San Marco (or Venezia overall); so the choice of Boulevard hotel seemed the best for the price & location. In fact, the rooms were really small, but you have to consider that the ratio square meters/euro is really high in or around Venezia; that explains why we had a room so small (incl. breakfast) for 2 persons for 100 euro in August....otherwise, breakfast was good, reasonnable choice, rooms quiet, even if the hotel & its furniture looked a bit old-fashioned.We really enjoyed our stay & we wait to come back to Venezia;1 thing, I was annoyed by the fact that I phoned 2 times to reserve a place for my car in their private parking lot( a month & 1 week before our coming) and I was told that it was not possible to park there; so I had to park at the other side of the island , Adriatic side, 1/2 mile from the hotel;finally, I advise people visiting Venezia, to buy "the venice blue card" on the Web, very, very convenient...... a Breton man

The hotel has a pleasant location, in the middle of the Lido, and is easily achievable by steambot (even by night!) Room was not too large, but comfortable and quiet, while bathroom appeared fairly "old-fashioned" and inconvenient. Reception and breakfast are quite satisfaying. Finally the price/quality ratio seems very suitable, regarding the location of the hotel

Hotel was excellent, and location was good, 2 minutes from the Vaporetti station serving the main island of Venice, and other islands in the lagoon. St Marks Square was approx. 15 minutes away, although the main bus terminal took 45 minutes-1hour. Boats run regularly all night throughout the year, and are very reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and well equipped, staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good.

Hotel location on Lido is excellent for visiting Venice. Triple room was a good size. Venice can be difficult when you have your full luggage quote of 20 kg each due to the many boats required and also when the Hotel reception gives you wrong information on which boat stop to get of at for our RCCL cruise. 3 day venice boat card was useful. I hope to return to this Hotel same time next year.

The Lido is really a great place for a stay in Venice. The vaporetto boat shuttle service to all the islands is really good. Prices are okay. We enjoyed staying at the Hotel Le Boulevard. Even the "smaller" rooms were okay from a space perspective. We went to the Lido by ferry boat, what we would recommend. Via e-mail we made the arrangement with the hotel that the parking at the hotel parking lot was included in the price.

Excellent location - close to the boat stand, supermarket and beaches. The hotel was on the main street with nice shops. The internet service was not free. There was one computer and you had to buy time on it through your credit card. Around the corner there was a bar you could pay to use the internet. As a single traveller I felt safe and catered to. The employees were very helpful. As well, I was able to leave my luggage there for a few hours -- although it was in an open area by the stairs and the elevator, it was there when I got back.

Room OK, breakfast OK, location excellent and the pre-requested cot for our baby was in the room on arrival which was a relief. Only real grouches were that the bar was only staffed when a barman was requested from reception, the mini bar was not fully restocked each day and the aircon didnt seem able to make the room quite cold enough for our tastes. Otherwise OK - beds very comfortable. Would probably stay there again as the location was excellent.

Took some advice and stayed on Lido. Was told quiter at night. It is. More peacefull, less tourists. Very nice breakfast. Location was only 3 blocks from the boat dock (vaperetto). Room was very clean but small, bathroom was nice, almost as big as the room, but hey, as long as the bed fits...I would not rely on the ac in very very hot months, the halls seemed cooler than the rooms as the ac shuts off when you leave, and if you are gone alot (..Venice, duh..)it never quite catches up.

The staff at the "Le Boulevard (minus house-keeping) were rude, bordering on incompetant. The staff was reluctant to answer questions concerning attractions and dining. Any question was met with a roll of the eyes and a the person you need to speak with is unavailable. My wife and I purchased beach tickets at the hotel and were unable to use them; the beach said to have the hotel refund the money. The management at "Le' Boulevard" said "Oh sorry sir the person who refunds the money is on holiday for 2 weeks". I do not think the staff at the "Le' Boulevard" can complete a sentence without "sorry sir"! Our room was hot (78-80 degrees farenheit), and yes I have a thermometer on my watch. Also our 4-star room did not have a shower curtain. The staff at the Le'Boulevard helped my wife decide to shorten our stay in Italy and go back to Germany. I do not possess a superiority complex, but when I am paying what I paid to stay at the Le'Boulevard I expect better service, just like I have 1 standard for Mac Donalds and another for a 150 Euro Restaurant. I would not advise anyone to stay at the Le'Boulevard unless they subtract 100 Euro from the price!

The room my friends and I stayed in were small but impeccably clean (who cares about staying in a hotel room when you are in Venice, anyway...). I would rate this hotel as an ex-4star hotel, the furniture is definitely from the 80s, but the service, the position, and the quality/price were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was a great place to stay while visiting Venice, without staying actually in Venice. Lido island is easy to get to with the public water bus system, the Airport bus, and water taxis. We purchased a 3 day Venice Card and used the water buses extensively during our stay. The hotel is only a short walk from the boat landing. We stayed at another hotel in Mestre for another night, and Le Boulevard was by far the better choice. The staff were helpful. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We weren't sure about staying on the Lido initially but it was actually a welcome break from the congestion and noise of mainland Venice. Easily accesible from the train station, either 35 min or an hour from station to Lido depending which service you use. We stayed 3 nights and bought the highly recommend 72 hr ticket when we arrived which allows you unlimited use of the boat service. Enjoyable boat ride only 5-10 min from mainland and regular service to reach the Lido. Hotel 5 min walk from the vapareto (boat) service. Very welcoming reception, clean spacious room including the bathroom. Excellent choice for breakfast including scrambled egg and bacon as well as the usual continental style options. Close to some very nice local restauarants if you chose not to stay on the mainland. Didn't really make use of the local facilities such as the beach as we were using this very much as a base to reach Venice mainland which was both beautiful and completely breathtaking.

The hotel is in a very good location in Lido, just a minute from the pier. When we arrived they showed us the room we've ordered and then offered us a new one (with a little bit more space)... only after i've understood it was the junior suite for 150 per night. It wasn't so bad but it was very far away from the idea i have of a junior suite... and the price i paid was too much higher now that i can freely think about it. The hotel is, according to me, pretty understaffed and the workers are above all chinese ad indian people... so the communication is difficult. The only italian people we've found in the building were at the welcome desk. The breakfast was nice but in a four stars hotel i pretend to be inquired about what i want to drink and then served instead we had to make it all by ourselves... with the problem that once the cups for tea and coffee were finished and there wasn't any waiter to help us in the breakfast room. And it was only 8.30 AM...

If you like a quiet and clean environment this is the place. The island where the hotel is located is very relaxed and serene. There are many small shops around where you can meet the locals and eat and drink leisurely. I just love this island (Lido) The draw back is the water taxis they charge too much money, that is if you have too much luggage like us, otherwise you can take the vaporettos they are much cheaper.

The Boulevard was a good hotel - position is ideal for a Venice holiday and the rooms were quiet. Our rooms were a good size and well air-conditioned. Breakfast was of a good quality for Italy - although if you arrive late, little is left which caught us out one morning. We took advantage of their beach umbrellas on a private part of the Lido beach - again very good quality and worked efficiently. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Venice.

Rooms are VERY small and the superior rooms just about ok. Seems very expensive for what it is. The breakfast room has little natural light and the hotel itself really needs a refurb.

We really liked being on the Lido as opposed to the main island. It was a welcome relief from the crowds. The hotel was located a block and a 1/2 from the Vaporetto stop which was great. The hotel has internet access through 2 computers in the lobby. The lobby and bar are very comfortable. The rooms were clean except for some peeling paint in the bathroom over the tub. My husband is 6'3 1/2" and he could not stand upright in the shower since the ceiling was slanted. Otherwise, we could see the main island from our bathroom window which was nice. The bathroom was also very large and had a large tub/shower. There was also plenty of space to store our luggage. We had been in Basel for business before Venice and had more luggage than usual and there was a large armoire and a storage closet as well. The only complaint we have is that the breakfast which is fine if you like eggs and meat, but I don't. It would have been nice to have yogurt, fruit salad and decent bread. They were a bit understaffed one day at breakfast and they ran out of juice/bowls/cereal/milk/juice glasses with only one person to replenish. But the one person on duty did a great job of replenishing everything. The breakfast rooms are very nice, bright and clean. Also the fizzy water was not fizzy. Also they were working on this hotel and the workers were outside our door every morning. This wasn't really a problem, but it was a little jarring. This also happened at the hotel we stayed in in Padua after we left Venice. I suppose they are getting ready for the high season. Overall our experience was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I chose this hotel for its breakfast after having read other reviews. I paid more than similar hotels in the surroundings. I was disapointed by the breakfast. There are scramble eggs, ham, cheese, cereals, but there's nothing special, for a 4* I would expect more and better quality. The economy room was a little noisy and small (less than 1m between the bed and the walls) but you spend more time in Venice so it's OK). There's a fridge (good for your drinks). The staff is friendly. The surrounding are nice. Good restaurants cheaper than in Venice.

The location was just a couple of blocks from the vaporetto stop which made it easy to transport luggage. The trip into Venice was fun and I thought staying on Lido was wonderful. We were out of the hustle of the city but still close enough to do what we wanted in Venice. The room was nice and we thought the breakfast was satisfying. Travelling to Venice in February with my 6 year old son, staying at the LIDO was a great way to approach Venice, using the very convenient "vaporetto" services. The hotel was great, but someone should seriously look at the breakfast layout which causes endless trips to the buffet and criss-crosses with other guests. Also the scrambled eggs looked repellent some mornings. Otherwise hotel was wonderful and very nicely priced in relation to the offer. The Hotel offered free wireless internet connection allowing me to do some last minute research on things to do and places to eat.

The hotel is superb for any kind of stay, including a romantic weekend. Even the economy rooms are quite spacious, very cosy and clean. The bathroom is perfect, with good equipment, bidet and bath. The breakfast is very different from what is normally offered in French or Italian hotels. In addition to ham and cheese (very good by themselves), it includes omelette with fried bacon. So you can get a good refill before you go to see Venice. The city is actually seen from the window, only 20 minutes by vaporetto. The staff were incredibly friendly and nice. If you read it - very good service, guys, thank you! I would calmly recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

my sister and me enjoyed our stay at le boulevard very much, especially remarkable was the helpful service at night, when our flight back to hamburg had been cancelled and we needed a room for another night. although the boulevard had no other free room it was no problem for the nice young at the desk to find a room for us in a hotel in the neighbourhood. that was very helpful for us both.

Le Boulevard was perfect for our winter visit. We had to double-check the price thinking it could not have been only 60 Euro a night. We were pleasantly surprised. However, we were traveling during the winter and there were not very many people, which may have cut on noise. The walls were thin and that was a problem with the 5 kids next door. Luckily the kids went to bed early. Overall, it was a great place and would recommend it. Oh yeah, breakfast rocked!!!!

The room was a little smaller than we had expected, but the hotel was good value and well situated on the Lido - a welcome change from Venice itself, but very easily reached by water bus (including the bus from the airport). Breakfast was adequate, but we would have liked fresh fruit and yoghurt, whichis common enouhg even at cheaper hotels. The bar wasn't always open for an evening nightcap and had run out of Sambuca!!In Italy!! Overall a very pleasant stay - we'd use the hotel again.

Bonjour . A bientôt .

Excellent stay all round. All the worries we had about staying on the Lido were unfounded there was a boat going between St Marks and the Liso every 10mins and it took about that time for the journey. Venice is at a steady pace in December so we didn't have to use the 04.30am last ferry. The price for a 4 star hotel in Venice itself was 3 or 4 times the price of the Boulevard!! The staff at the Boulevard were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing in quantity and average in quality, with again great staff sevicing the breakfast buffet. There was enough food for us to take a couple of sandwhiches for lunch! So this hotel was room and two meals for 50EURO per night for a double room!! Can't reccommend the place enough, always easy it get home by jumping on a boat, cheaper, good staff, great views over the lagoon, beach for walks and loads of food included in the price, have fun.

Excellent choice. Very good economical room. Breakfast quick and not so poor as in other Italian hotels. Situation easy in the Lido but you have to think to buy Vaporeto tickets of course. 15mn form the town center by vaporeto.

This turned out to be a great value for the money. We had booked an economy room for 50 euro per night, a terrific bargain even with a weak US dollar. When we arrived, the receptionist told us that we were upgraded to a standard room. It was listed as a 4 star and had some things we see in the US only in 5 star hotels or never (such as a multi-spray shower and breakfast included) but was about the size of a Motel 6 room (i.e. small by American standards, but not uncomfortable). Probably about 200 sq. ft. (18.6 sq. m) So I guess standards are just different and can't exactly be compared apples to apples. They gave free soaps, shampoos, and other things but all were in the packets which are harder to negotiate than small bottles while showering. A big plus is that this was the only hotel we stayed in in Italy with actual towels (not the most luxuriant I've used but definitely serviceable), and not those large dish-towel type things which I find to be almost useless. Of the 3 hotels we stayed in in Italy, all of which were quite good, this was in the middle. One thing which could use improvement is that the bathroom window had only a thin almost taffeta-like sheet over it that someone on the street could probably see through at night if the light is on, so if you need privacy you may want to ask for a room that doesn't face the street or one without a bathroom window. Also the king-sized bed was really 2 twin beds pushed together. Also, our room was right next to the elevator and we were occasionally awakened by people talking in the hallway. However we were able to get a decent night's sleep the rest of the time. Street noise was not a problem though. Breakfast buffet was very serviceable and filling, with several items to drink, bread, crackers, cheese, ham, croissants, eggs and bacon, and cereal.

They cheated with the phone bill. Realized it back home - check your bill! The breakfast was poor and on top of it, most stuff was not available, if we came after 9am. Choose another place!

Very good hotel. Although i wouldnt quite call it 4 star, as the rooms were nice, but not the cleanest for a 4 star. Breakfast was excellent, and was a wide variety on offer. It's only 15 mins by water bus to Venice, and they run every 10 mins, so perfect location for visiting Venice. Overall, very pleased with stay and for the price we got it for it was unbelievable value for money. 150 euros between 2 for a 3 night stay, quality
