The hotel is in a fairly convenient location for the water taxis or buses. Before I booked it I looked at some of the reviews and saw comments about the size of the rooms. I now know what people meant. I travelled alone so I booked a single room. It was the smallest room I have ever stayed in.I woke up early on my first night thinking that a water pipe had burst as I could hear running water. It turned out that the walls were so thin and next doors shower and toilet backed onto my bedroom and it was someone having a shower. It sounded as if they were in the same room as me.When I looked further I found out that most of the top floor rooms were built into what would normally be the roof space. This meant that you have the roof joists coming down from the ceiling at an angle towards the outer wall to a very low level making it feel very claustrophobic.

hello we had booked and payed for a superior room and got a standard small room with a very old type of bathroom (a so small shower you couldn't close the door - I am though and so is my husband tiny persons - sink , tiles and everything in this bathroom are old fashioned) ; breakast is just ok (as season fruits we had ...apples) - we have searched and found much better deals of hotels in the close neighbourhood for next year !

This is more of a bed and breakfast type and less of a hotel. One can certainly find better options if worked upon. However, reception staff is good and witty as the poor guy does everything .... from reception to room service. Even for a plate or an additional glass, the guest needs to come down to the reception and carry it himself.

The hotel is perfectly situated near the ferrydock.Clean rooms but pretty small though. If u are assigned to a room facing Via Corfu its bad luck, there is a garbage disposal area just outside the hotel so u'll automaticly wake up at 06:30 every morning.Staff behind the desk are not very friendly, simply lack of servicemindness. The breakfast buffe is ok, nothing special though. So why should u stay at Le Boulevard hotel? Well,i guess the price is a reason, and the fact that u are out of the jam in Venice.

We had such high hopes for this hotel, as it was our last stop in Italy while traveling Europe for our honeymoon. The location is great; however, the customer service from the staff forces me to NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Each one of the staff members were extremely rude, and they all acted as if they were doing us a favor by even giving us a room key. They all complained about their jobs, such as how overworked they are because they no longer have managers. They yelled at us for talking in the lobby, and they made very snide comments when we asked for the Internet router to be reset. There are many more options on Lido, as well as Venice. The location does not make this hotel worth it...stay somewhere else for a warmer welcome and a smile.

First time staying on the Lido. We will return as it was a great value for the price compared with many other places we have stayed in Venice. Some may not want to have to take the 15 minute ride on the vaporetto to get to St. Marco's but we enjoyed the ride and the Lido is a peaceful respite after the business of Venice. A nice breakfast was included.

The hotel is quite OK , outside really nice and the area OK if You are aware of not being so close to Venice , but with the vaporettos it is no problem. Breakfast OK , please stop the " juices " wich is some coloured water . The only bad thong is that you cannot consider it a 4 star hotel !!! But the price is so low that you cannot claim anything . A real good low cost choice .

Our "double" roomwas absolutely tiny. We had to fold down a table in order to move around the bed and there was not even enough space to unpack. The original room had obviously been made half the size in order to fit in a shower room. The actual room size of just the sleeping area should have been detailed on the website. Breakfast was included in the price but was of very poor quality. The hotel had extensive public areas downstairs which were hardly used.

We had a quad room with Queen bed and 2 twin beds, a desk, TV, and fully stocked mini-fridge. Maybe a little cramped, but the blue-tiled bathroom was enormous, with big towels. Most hotels have tiny little towels that barely cover anything, but these towels were nice and large, to wrap all the way around your body. We all loved that. Our room was in the front, overlooking the street, and since we had the windows open to catch the breeze (A/C didn't quite cool us enough), there was a lot of street noise. If noise bothers you, be sure to ask for a room near the back. This hotel is 2 blocks from the water taxi station, only one ride to/from Piz.Roma or the airport- much better than dragging your suitcases through Venice!! It is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and bicycle rentals and the beach is a decent walk. The free breakfast is quite adequate, with an assortment of hot foods as well as rolls, meats & cheese, cereal, juice and yogurt and a fantastic hot beverage machine. The staff is welcoming and friendly and you can store your luggage if you have a late flight. You must pay for internet, but other than that, the budget price makes Le Boulevard the best bargain in Venice--just look on Lido!

Lido island is a great place to stay. There are no steps or bridges to negotiate with suitcases and easy access via Vaporhetto to San Marco etc. The hotel is on a restaurant strip so plenty to choose from to eat and there is an excellent supermarket right next door stocking fresh bread, pre-made salads, cheeses and meats for a picinic. The man on reception spoke good English and was helpful. The main down side was very expensive internet that did not work (5 Euro for 1 hour) and a tiny room with no space to put one suitcase let alone two (economy room - others may be bigger).

We stayed with 2 families of 2 adults and 2 children! The rooms were nice and spacious with the right kinds of beds to make it a comfortable stay..One point to be aware of. - Access to Lido if you are going with a car is through the ferry which costs you €100 euros return for a family of 4!! This was not known at the time of booking...So, it was a bit of a damper.. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay with good access to Venice with the Vaporetta and decent choice of shops and restaurants nearby.. Decent value for money! Satish

We stayed 4 nights here. Hotel was easy to find once we got off the boat. Lido is a wonderful relaxing island which you can walk around very easily. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast area is large with a full breakfast choice. Saturday night on the patio was a bit noisy as our room was right over the patio but the other nights were fine. I have to comment on the assistance of Luca from the Hotel. We had forgotten 2 pieces of clothing in our room. Once back in Canada, I contacted the Hotel by email and corresponded with Luca. Luca checked out courier prices, went to the Post Office and checked out prices there as well, packaged up our clothing and made arrangements for a courier company to pick up the package. The service provided by Luca was very much appreciated.

I'd read about the "space" issue when researching where to stay. So I booked a triple room for just my husband and I. There was plenty of room. The bathroom was a nice size as well. It's not far from the beach, or shopping. And the grocery store across the street has fair prices. Along with the eateries on the street. I felt we got "gouged" at a restaurant by Rialto bridge. But here, everything seemed fair. Staff seemed friendly, but we only stayed one night and had no special request.

I don't think this hotel qualifies as a 4-star hotel. The rooms were VERY small, but I paid for a double-occupancy. Although the exterior had a face-lift and looks modern, the interiors looks old and need of repairs or new paint. However, the hotel is in a very very good location and since we had a car, we were very happy that we were able to park free of charge in the hotel's lot.

I would highly recommend this location because it is outside of Venice central but easily accessible to Venice central. Our family enjoyed travelling the water taxis to the city as well as having the beach close by to enjoy when you're not sightseeing. The water taxis are pricey but you can buy weekly passes which makes it more economical. The hotel is located close to the taxi service, a supermarket and great family restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were a group of 2 Mums & 2 Daughters going to Venice to celebrate end of exams and a 16th birthday! We chose to stay on the Lido as it gave us the option of spending time on the beach as well as seeing the cultural side of Venice. The hotel was very conveniently placed near the watertaxi stop-2mins to drag cases from the boat to the hotel. Also right next to supermarket. Our rooms were clean & a good size for us,the bathrooms are very RED! Breakfast was good with lots of buffet food to tank-up with for the day-my friend's only complaint was the 'awful' coffee!(I didn't think it was that bad!)We were very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again.A great weekend break!

This was our first stay on the Lido, on previous visits we stayed in the centre of Venice. The staff at the hotel were excellent from the moment we arrived, they were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is just a couple of minutes from the waterbus so it was very convenient to get to anywhere in Venice. The Lido beaches are only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We really enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere on the Lido and found the restaurants less crowded and cheaper than central Venice. We would recommend Le Boulevard if you want to do all the sightseeing in Venice combined with a more relaxed space in the evening for drinks and dinner.

This hotel is refined and friendly. The staff are courteous, immensely helpful, and generally professional. There was street noise on Friday and Saturday evenings, but not too late, and the area surrounding the hotel has both a major street (for shops and caffes) and tranquil residences off the main street, where we walked several times during our stay. I would recommend the hotel. Let them know ahead of time if you want the 'matrimonial' bed -- two twins joined.

Our family decided to stay preferebly on Lido island, instead of crowded San Marco (or Venezia overall); so the choice of Boulevard hotel seemed the best for the price & location. In fact, the rooms were really small, but you have to consider that the ratio square meters/euro is really high in or around Venezia; that explains why we had a room so small (incl. breakfast) for 2 persons for 100 euro in August....otherwise, breakfast was good, reasonnable choice, rooms quiet, even if the hotel & its furniture looked a bit old-fashioned.We really enjoyed our stay & we wait to come back to Venezia;1 thing, I was annoyed by the fact that I phoned 2 times to reserve a place for my car in their private parking lot( a month & 1 week before our coming) and I was told that it was not possible to park there; so I had to park at the other side of the island , Adriatic side, 1/2 mile from the hotel;finally, I advise people visiting Venezia, to buy "the venice blue card" on the Web, very, very convenient...... a Breton man

Even the "smaller" rooms were okay from a space perspective. We went to the Lido by ferry boat, what we would recommend. Via e-mail we made the arrangement with the hotel that the parking at the hotel parking lot was included in the price.

Excellent location - close to the boat stand, supermarket and beaches. The hotel was on the main street with nice shops. The internet service was not free. There was one computer and you had to buy time on it through your credit card. Around the corner there was a bar you could pay to use the internet. As a single traveller I felt safe and catered to. The employees were very helpful. As well, I was able to leave my luggage there for a few hours -- although it was in an open area by the stairs and the elevator, it was there when I got back.

Room OK, breakfast OK, location excellent and the pre-requested cot for our baby was in the room on arrival which was a relief. Only real grouches were that the bar was only staffed when a barman was requested from reception, the mini bar was not fully restocked each day and the aircon didnt seem able to make the room quite cold enough for our tastes. Otherwise OK - beds very comfortable. Would probably stay there again as the location was excellent.

Took some advice and stayed on Lido. Was told quiter at night. It is. More peacefull, less tourists. Very nice breakfast. Location was only 3 blocks from the boat dock (vaperetto). Room was very clean but small, bathroom was nice, almost as big as the room, but hey, as long as the bed fits...I would not rely on the ac in very very hot months, the halls seemed cooler than the rooms as the ac shuts off when you leave, and if you are gone alot (..Venice, duh..)it never quite catches up.

The staff at the "Le Boulevard (minus house-keeping) were rude, bordering on incompetant. The staff was reluctant to answer questions concerning attractions and dining. Any question was met with a roll of the eyes and a the person you need to speak with is unavailable. My wife and I purchased beach tickets at the hotel and were unable to use them; the beach said to have the hotel refund the money. The management at "Le' Boulevard" said "Oh sorry sir the person who refunds the money is on holiday for 2 weeks". I do not think the staff at the "Le' Boulevard" can complete a sentence without "sorry sir"! Our room was hot (78-80 degrees farenheit), and yes I have a thermometer on my watch. Also our 4-star room did not have a shower curtain. The staff at the Le'Boulevard helped my wife decide to shorten our stay in Italy and go back to Germany. I do not possess a superiority complex, but when I am paying what I paid to stay at the Le'Boulevard I expect better service, just like I have 1 standard for Mac Donalds and another for a 150 Euro Restaurant. I would not advise anyone to stay at the Le'Boulevard unless they subtract 100 Euro from the price!

The room my friends and I stayed in were small but impeccably clean (who cares about staying in a hotel room when you are in Venice, anyway...). I would rate this hotel as an ex-4star hotel, the furniture is definitely from the 80s, but the service, the position, and the quality/price were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was a great place to stay while visiting Venice, without staying actually in Venice. Lido island is easy to get to with the public water bus system, the Airport bus, and water taxis. We purchased a 3 day Venice Card and used the water buses extensively during our stay. The hotel is only a short walk from the boat landing. We stayed at another hotel in Mestre for another night, and Le Boulevard was by far the better choice. The staff were helpful. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We weren't sure about staying on the Lido initially but it was actually a welcome break from the congestion and noise of mainland Venice. Easily accesible from the train station, either 35 min or an hour from station to Lido depending which service you use. We stayed 3 nights and bought the highly recommend 72 hr ticket when we arrived which allows you unlimited use of the boat service. Enjoyable boat ride only 5-10 min from mainland and regular service to reach the Lido. Hotel 5 min walk from the vapareto (boat) service. Very welcoming reception, clean spacious room including the bathroom. Excellent choice for breakfast including scrambled egg and bacon as well as the usual continental style options. Close to some very nice local restauarants if you chose not to stay on the mainland. Didn't really make use of the local facilities such as the beach as we were using this very much as a base to reach Venice mainland which was both beautiful and completely breathtaking.

The hotel is in a very good location in Lido, just a minute from the pier. When we arrived they showed us the room we've ordered and then offered us a new one (with a little bit more space)... only after i've understood it was the junior suite for 150 per night. It wasn't so bad but it was very far away from the idea i have of a junior suite... and the price i paid was too much higher now that i can freely think about it. The hotel is, according to me, pretty understaffed and the workers are above all chinese ad indian people... so the communication is difficult. The only italian people we've found in the building were at the welcome desk. The breakfast was nice but in a four stars hotel i pretend to be inquired about what i want to drink and then served instead we had to make it all by ourselves... with the problem that once the cups for tea and coffee were finished and there wasn't any waiter to help us in the breakfast room. And it was only 8.30 AM...

If you like a quiet and clean environment this is the place. The island where the hotel is located is very relaxed and serene. There are many small shops around where you can meet the locals and eat and drink leisurely. I just love this island (Lido) The draw back is the water taxis they charge too much money, that is if you have too much luggage like us, otherwise you can take the vaporettos they are much cheaper.

The Boulevard was a good hotel - position is ideal for a Venice holiday and the rooms were quiet. Our rooms were a good size and well air-conditioned. Breakfast was of a good quality for Italy - although if you arrive late, little is left which caught us out one morning. We took advantage of their beach umbrellas on a private part of the Lido beach - again very good quality and worked efficiently. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Venice.

Rooms are VERY small and the superior rooms just about ok. Seems very expensive for what it is. The breakfast room has little natural light and the hotel itself really needs a refurb. The bathrrooms are in a garish horrible red. We didnt like it there at all and made sure that we spend as little time in the hotel as possible. The people are freindly and helpful though.

A small, comfortable hotel in an excellent location on the Lido. Lots of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices nearby. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and efficient. Very convenient for waterbus to Venice. The rooms were much smaller than we had expected from a 4 star hotel.

We really liked being on the Lido as opposed to the main island. It was a welcome relief from the crowds. The hotel was located a block and a 1/2 from the Vaporetto stop which was great. The hotel has internet access through 2 computers in the lobby. The lobby and bar are very comfortable. The rooms were clean except for some peeling paint in the bathroom over the tub. My husband is 6'3 1/2" and he could not stand upright in the shower since the ceiling was slanted. Otherwise, we could see the main island from our bathroom window which was nice. The bathroom was also very large and had a large tub/shower. There was also plenty of space to store our luggage. We had been in Basel for business before Venice and had more luggage than usual and there was a large armoire and a storage closet as well. The only complaint we have is that the breakfast which is fine if you like eggs and meat, but I don't. It would have been nice to have yogurt, fruit salad and decent bread. They were a bit understaffed one day at breakfast and they ran out of juice/bowls/cereal/milk/juice glasses with only one person to replenish. But the one person on duty did a great job of replenishing everything. The breakfast rooms are very nice, bright and clean. Also the fizzy water was not fizzy. Also they were working on this hotel and the workers were outside our door every morning. This wasn't really a problem, but it was a little jarring. This also happened at the hotel we stayed in in Padua after we left Venice. I suppose they are getting ready for the high season. Overall our experience was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
