Many times to Italy but first time in Venice. The hotel was beautiful, spotless and had a very good staff. I had a Suite that was beautiful. There is a great rooftop bar overlooking the city. A very enjoyable stay.

A very nice hotel with great clean rooms. There is enough space in the rooms as well, which seems rare for Venice. The location is very good, only minutes from the rialto brige and the marcus placa. Breakfast is good, but you have to pay some extra euros for things like ham+eggs. I enjoyed my stay a lot and would book the same hotel again!

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C! Everything about this hotel was amazing. The breakfast was the best on our entire trip. The staff is fabulous and makes the best restaurant recommendations. The bar was great. Our room was amazing. We stayed in a double deluxe and never wanted to leave. Turn down service was wonderful and the tub was a welcome treat. A La Commedia is the ONLY place we will stay when we visit Venice again.

I thought this was a fantastic hotel in every regard. The location is just a few blocks from the Rialto Bridge which is perfect if it's your first time in Venice. The staff was extremely helpful and very nice to deal with (great English). The rooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable even by NorthAmerican standards. Breakfast was included and a great roof top terrace bar. I would give this hotel my highest ratings of all the hotels i stayed at while traveling three weeks through Italy.

Hotel A la Commedia was even better than I thought it would be. The staff was wonderful and made sure we were well taken care of. The rooms were very nice and well maintained.

This hotel is at the right place, has the right size, a perfect interior with impeccable rooms and a very helpful staff. We have already returned once and will come back again.

Overall, very clean and comfortable but a pity the pillows were full of concrete! Friendly staff - rare in Venice. Excellent location, 200m from Rialto Bridge. Would definitely return - preferrably after a lottery win.

Overall our stay at A La Commedia was excellent. Staff were very pleasant. The only downside was the booking of separate water taxis for the airport when 4 groups were going for the same flight. We thought 2 taxis would have sufficed! Reception said it was too complicated to cancel. Each water taxi transfer cost 110 euros.

I am a single woman and traveled to Venice November, 2006 alone. I believe the hotel had just opened a few months ago. It is everything you see in the pictures and read in the reviews. Perfect in every way. I have traveled to Venice before and the quality of the hotel and service was unmatched by any 5-star hotel. I am returning this year; however was sad to see that their prices have increased by 100 Euros a night and are now far too expensive. For the 180 Euros I paid last year, you couldn't beat it. Perfect location!!! Wish I could stay there again but this time the Euros 285 they are quoting is way off my budget...I'd much rather spend the money playing...

Room allocated was one of the very best we have ever used - the facilities and decor were excellent. The location was superb - just 100m from Rialto waterbus stop and a simple 4-5 minute walk to Piazza San Marco along a main shop-lined thoroughfare. Breakfast was good although some variety would have been welcome over the three days we were there.

The staff were tremendous and so helpful in making our stay in Venice truly magical. The location is perfect with everything so close to hand. We would absolutely stay again and recommend to our friends. (We already have !) Thank you.

Hotel A la Commedia is 6 mths. old and absolutely beautiful. It is in a perfect location, accessable to all the highlights of Venice. The rooms were large and very well appointed,very comfortable for my husband, self and 14 yr. old son. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was lovely and offered a delicious variety of foods. I would rate it 4 1/2 stars. I highly reccomend A la Commedia!

Stayed in Venice for a weekend in January. I booked a 4 star thinkin that it would be more like a 2 star as alot of hotels in Itlay/France are quite poor. I was pleasantly surprised as the hotel definetely lived up to 4 star expectations. The room was beautiful and quite spacious. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful when asking for directions etc. The hotel was 2 mins from Rialto Bridge & 5 mins to St Marks Square. I would definetley recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is byfar the best hotel my family stayed at during our two weeks in Italy. The rooms are beautiful and are accurately represented in the pictures. Breakfast was good with excellent coffee. There's nothing else I need to add about this hotel except to say again that this hotel is PERFECT.

I couldn't believe the photos on the web sight at first, but the rooms lived up to the photographs - and some! We had an ordinary double room which was just as good as the suite in the photos. A new hotel and everything was sqeaky clean. Beautifully spacious and comfortable room and great service. Lovely fresh flowers everywhere. A good selection for breakfast and the option of cooked food, for a small cost. Ideal location, just a short stroll to the Rialto. Many good restaurants a short walk away. Staff at reception all spoke very good English and were very helpful. An excellent stay and the promise to return!
