Clean, good location, quite place, good shower and bed. My only complain is to one of receptionist, a little stupid (a young man, I don't know his name). Anyway, hotel is good, expensive as all hotels in Venice, but one of cheapest, good for resting.

Well, more or less our stay at the hotel was ok, except the internet connection.. on the web page of the hotel u can see u have free wi fi, but at the hotel, this is not the case, there is wifi, and is free, but no connection whatsoever, u get connected for 1 minute and then u try to reconnect for other 10 minutes, and then again, u get the sign on ur phone that ur connected but nothing is moving, and when u get to talk to the reception, they are nothing but rude and not helpful at all

Notice the there is no lift in the hotel, so in case you get 3 floor, it can get very difficult to carry your luggage.

This location in Venice was optimal! it was a short walk from the Train Terminal and with large suitcases, still easy to get to since on same side of main bridge. just down a quiet side alley. The staff was friendly, and breakfast was nice. The room was small, but same as all rooms at this price point in Italy. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this location!

It was only an overnight but i found it friendly and accommodating. There is work being done to the exterior it did not put me off as in Venice buildings need constant attention.I was offered an upgrade and i accepted for very little money. Helpful and attentive staff made the stay very pleasant. As i had to travel early in the morning the location 'so near to station and bus made a difference in me choosing it.I would advise to make more obvious on the website the entrance through the arch it was not a problem for me as i know the area very well but could easily be for other travelers.

Stayed here for 3 nights at end of October. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Venice and everything there is good value for money but it is expensive - what you're paying for is experiencing a very unique place and atmosphere and you pay for that. Hotel Guerrini was great and helped us to enjoy our stay.

If you arrive or leave Venice by train, this location is brilliant. There are no bridges between the station and the hotel - if you have travelled with wheelie suitcases you will appreciate this comment. It's right in the action for shopping precincts, plenty of restaurants & cafes, and the area felt very safe. I was travelling with my 16 year old daughter and never felt uncomfortable in this area, even at night. The hotel was very clean - my only comment was that the bathroom was extremely small (could be difficult for a larger person). Staff were lovely, and the breakfast was very generous. We would definitely stay there again.

We were very happy with our accommodations at Hotel Guerrini. Although it is located just off the Lista di Spagna, the main thoroughfare from the train station, bus station, car parks, and cruise ship docks, the hotel itself is very quiet. It is on a tiny lane just off the main drag and feels very serene. The room was very clean and large enough to move around in. The bathroom was also fine except that the hot water seemed to run out regularly in the late morning. Breakfast was uninspired, but typical: various pastries and breads, yogurt, ham and cheese, a bowl of cold hard boiled eggs, and a coffee machine which dispensed very good coffee of various kinds. Our main problem was with the internet. The hotel is in two buildings on both sides of the lane. Our room was on the side opposite the main lobby. The internet dropped often and unpredictably. Sometimes, one of us would have a connection, but the other would lose it. Then it would switch for no apparent reason. We eventually found that if we sat at one of the tables outside the lobby, it was fine, but that was our main annoyance.

Great location on a small side street away from the main pedestrian drag. Perfect if you are going from or to Santa Lucia Station. We took the Alilaguna to the Guglie stop and then it was only around 200 meters to the hotel. The rooms are modest but very clean and the Reception staff was outstanding. Venice is very expensive so the price of the hotel is what to be expected. Tiny breakfast room so try to avoid the rush in the morning. I will definately stay at the Guerrini again.

I stayed in a single room for 3 nights. It's not anything close to luxurious, but the room was clean and not too claustrophobic, and the price not too awful, so overall I appreciated staying here. The biggest upside was definitely the location - very close walking distance from the train station and Jewish ghetto, off a main street so there's always stuff going on nearby but not too loud outside. The biggest downside was probably just that you could hear everything in the rooms - from the loud key-turning of other guests, to people walking upstairs... if you're not in the room at all during the day then maybe it's not so bad. But you'll hear the key noises starting early as everyone leaves their rooms! The shower is a little small, and is basically just a drain on the floor surrounded by a curtain so if you're not careful you'll end up spraying water everywhere. It's not hard to figure out after the first time you use it, though. Last thing - avoid at all costs taking an early flight out from the airport because you're going to have major issues getting there. The front desk guy was nice enough but basically useless as far as helping me arrange transportation to the airport. He said he couldn't call a taxi (water or otherwise) for me but gave me (outdated) numbers to call for them myself, none of which worked. I appreciated the effort (?) but there has to be a better way to help out guests with early flights. I can't be the only person that ever left at 4AM before.

Helpful, friendly staff. Right next to the bus & train stations, with a cute little quiet courtyard outside. Great price for mid-July on the main island of Venice, as opposed to the Mestre or the Lido. No frills here, but my room was clean, had great AC and provided all the necessary amenities. Only complaint was that wi-fi worked only on one side of the hotel (opposite where my room was located); it was great to have wifi nonetheless! This was my first time in Venice, and the Hotel Guerrini was a pretty perfect accommodation choice for me.

The room was small but comfortable. We upgraded ourselves to a room with a bath (vs shared bath)and extended our stay by 1 night. Overall it was a clean room. The hotel is located just off the main strip that goes to the rail station. We almost walked by it because it is tucked away in a small alley way. But this proved to be great because the noise level dropped significantly once we walked into the area. I think all of Venice is expensive, but if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay with easy access to the rail station and the rest of Venice then this is a good place. The breakfast was very Italian with bread, cheese, coffee, yogurt, etc. Nothing extravagant but filling. I have to problem recommending this hotel. They did have wifi but it was sometimes difficult to receive it from the room.

A lovely friendly, little hotel in a quiet side-street, easily accessible by vaporetti or walk from Piazza le Roma. Good value for money. We had 2 rooms on this booking, with shared bathrooms and were lucky enough to be upgraded on 1 to ensuite which was a beautiful room, airy and modernised, sparkling clean with pretty furniture. The other was darker but still spacious but not so clean. The staff were all very helpful and kind when we arrived early with a family including 2 very small children. The breakfast was above average for a modestly priced hotel. We will definitely use this hotel again.

We booked Hotel Guerrini as a final stop over after a cruise. Very friendly and very helpful staff, they let us into the room early as it was already made up which was very welcome! It's within 10 minutes walk of Piazza de Roma, and 30 minutes (beautiful) walk of St Marks Square. Room was spacious which was a pleasant surprise as we'd heard stories from other couples on our cruise of being squeezed into box rooms! Lovely hotel in a really nice quiet area of Venice - much nicer than staying in the crazy busy areas in the centre. Yes, the hotel has a lot of steep stairs but this is Venice and all the buildings are tall and narrow! Very close to the train station which was ever so handy for us as we had our bikes with us - which would have been a nightmare to take any further into Venice. Lovely courtyard outside.

Would have welcomed a kettle and tea cups in the room although there is a drinks machine for which you have to pay in the lobby. Comfortable and quiet, especially given its mega-touristy location, which I wanted because of its proximity to the bus and cruise ship terminals (schlepping luggage isn't as easy at 57 as it used to be). Great breakfast, much more extensive actually than advertised. Friendly. helpful, multilingual staff. Pretty, albeit tiny, room, not unexpected since it's Venice and very reasonably priced. My only complaint is that the shared bathroom on our floor (2nd) had only a toilet and sink; the shared bathroom on the 3rd had the shower and bidet. Overall a very good experience.

The best thing this hotel has going for it is the closeness to the train station. The rooms are bare bone with no TV. The wifi does not work in the rooms. In general, this hotel is OK. Although the room is quite small, it's OK for a budget traveller. But the quietness of rooms is kind of a problem. If you live near the stairs, you could probably be bothered until late night. And sometimes, you could even hear the talking and laughing from your neighbors. The breakfast buffet is simple and always the same. And don't expect smile and warm welcome from the service counter. They seldom say "hi" to you when you come or go.(It's quite different from France) Anyway, if budget is quite important, it's OK. We don't expect too much, right?

Hotel was easy to find and was suitable for us as a stop over before we moved by vaporetto to next hotel in San Marco the next day. This was to avoid the initial hassles of transport and crossing bridges in a crowded situation. We were arriving from Lake Como after 2 pm. Room was comfortable and clean. Manager was friendly and breakfast was good. From here, you can visit the Jewish Ghetto and cover the San Croce area. We met a British couple on their 5th visit and somehow we got on after crossing paths 4-5 times. They kindly and generously invited us over to their apartment for dinner overlooking the piazza near the Rialto. Thanks Derek and Helena for a very pleasant evening. You were great company. The next day, we had a torrential downpour as we made our way to the next hotel. That's life. We enjoyed it.

I feel that I am qualified to know about staying in Venice since I have been there on several vacations over the last 10 years. That being said, after a last minute travel plan we decided to book this hotel. Due to budget constraints we chose this hotel based on two things: price and location. If you have ever been to Venice you know that besides it's exceptional beauty it has an abundance of bridges and steps. We had no desire to lug our bags up and down steps while fighting crowds to get to our hotel. This hotel is situated a few paces from the train station. It's down a little alley way so make sure you are aware of that. I do not like this section of Venice because its overly congested with tourists and tacky shops but you can't beat the location near the train or the price. Another note, Venice is one of the most expensive cities in Italy. The benefits of this place are the price and the location and the breakfast which is very nice. The down side the room size and busy street. I would recommend another hotel but there really aren't a lot that are affordable and that are listed on Venere. Here are some travel tips when visiting Venice: Consider visiting and staying in Verona. Its a great city and the we wished we had booked there too. I also recommend eating at a place called Osteria Nono Ristorto. The food , ambiance and location are a dream. It's not a tourist trap but more for the locals and a good Venetian friend of mine introduced me to it a few years ago and I highly recommend it. Lats but not least wear insect repellent always after 4pm in Venice. Lots of mosquitoes no matter where you go. Happy travels. Ciao

Room clean and comfortable - nice hot shower and towel warmer! Great location - close to train station and Rialto Bridge. Great restaurants, eateries and shopping steps outside the door. Lack of elevator was rough upon arrival with heavy bags, but that was well documented in reviews so no surprises. Breakfast did not include a huge variety of things, but was definitely adequate and service excellent.

The location is great. Just a few steps from the train station making it easier to arrive and leave. Also is very quiet for Venice. The hotel and rooms are small but, again, for Venice is a great place.

Location is good, close to Piazzale Roma and to various shops. 20 - 25 minutes walk to St. Mark's square though. Quite expensive for a two-star hotel without elevator. Breakfast rather poor.

I was very glad to stay at the Hotel Guerrini. Everything was fine. It's very convenient that Hotel Guerrini located very close (1 min. walk) to the vaporetto station Guglie - that small station at Cannaregio Canal is not crowded like Ferrovia or Piazzale Roma.

We found that the hotel was listed in our guide book and it lived up to the write-up of good inexpensive (for Venice) hotel. The stairs were a challenge (I have a non-functioning leg) but the room was comfortable and looked out onto a busy square which was good.

Rooms were large, but there's little in the way of common area. No television in the room. The building seemed old and in need of repair. Furniture was old and seemed a bit dirty. Could hear my neighbors in the next room. The hotel is near the train station. Next time I'll spend a bit more money and stay somewhere else.

Good points: very easy to reach from ryaniar shuttle bus station and central station. And very close to all ferries to any part of Venice. Very nice and warm-hearted clerks at the reception. Many restaurants around providing more meal choices. Bad points: "Breakfast is nothing", I had got this information before I arrived there. So, I had breakfast outside on the first day. But, to see what was nothing, I tried the hotel breakfast the second day. Except the hot chocolate, it's really nothing. I had to have another breakfast outside. Shower water was too cool, almost no hot water at all. The extra blanket in wardrobe was smelly. I had to just use it folded to half bed. Thanks for the hot heating system, I did not feel cold and humid at night as I had expected. Overall: not so bad for single travellers, esp. those by ryanair or those with many lugguages from central station.

Probably a good choice if you are looking for a cheap, clean, very basic, and central location to Venice hotel. It was OK - but the reception staff were not too good, but I guess is to be expected when you are staying in 2 star accommodation. If 2 star is for you - then this would do fine.

I stayed in the new annex to the hotel and therefore can only comment on that part of the property. I was met by a man that spoke excellent English and showed me to my room. I had room 11 on the ground floor. The hotel is,as described, down a side alley that is quiet. My room had new furniture, all very pretty and was very clean. It was a single room but had 2 single beds. The bathroom was small but clean, bright and perfectly adequate. I stayed in October 07 and was worried about the mosquitoes but I only got 4 bites in total! The room was perfectly comfortable with high ceilings and a comfy bed. The only 'complaint' I had is that the walls are paper thin....you can hear EVERYTHING from the surrounding rooms. Toilets flushing, taps running, conversations. Take some ear plugs! Breakfast is a complete non-event so I wouldn't even bother....seriously! Croissant in a bag? Crispbread? Just walk out of the alleyway the hotel is down and there are SO many nice little cafes to choose from. The hotel is literally 5 mins slow walk from the station and very easy to find. There is a water bus stop even closer too. It takes up to 30mins to walk to St Mark's Square but in all honesty, it's a lovely walk. The bus station is right around the corner too so those flying with Ryanair, you can get the direct bus to Treviso airport from there...easy. It was much nicer than I expected for the price and if it wasn't for the noise aspect (which in all honesty, didn't really bother me as such) it would have been perfect. If you can get it at a reasonable price, take it.

Venezia is a city that is in general overpriced. The train station and vaparetto stop were very close by. There are shops and trattorias within easy walking distance. I was able to walk easily to all the major attractions. Piazza San Marco and the Rialto are all within pretty easy walking distance. There is lots to see and do along the way. Trattorias and Ristaurantes flank the walk along the way. It is a great walk and then you can take the vaparetto back to the train station when you get done.

Quiet, well situated in a dead end, half an hour walking from San Marco. A lot of restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity. 10 minutes from the bus stop (convenient if you have heavy luggage). Comfort of the room is basic but sufficient (room is clean, bed is good, water is warm). It is expensive but price/quality is good for the specific case of Venice.

A quiet attractive hotel in an interesting location off a busy street. Handy for local facilities and vaporetti. Our case had gone missing on the flight, and though the staff were courteous and interested, there was little in the way of hotel provision e.g toiletries to help us out. We had asked for a ground floor room because of disability, and this was provided. In all, a clean, basic simple hotel, reasonable value in a very expensive city.
