The Hotel Danieli is a masterfully restored palace synonymous with the splendor and romance of Venice. The property lies just steps away from the Piazza San Marco and its Basilica as well as legendary sites such as the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs.
The hotel's main building is the original 14th century palace of Doge Dandolo's family, a Venetian Gothic landmark lavishly appointed with pink marble, stained glass, ceilings decorated with golden leaves, Murano glass chandeliers and antiques. These glorious interiors are rivaled only by the captivating panoramic views from the rooftop restaurant, La Terrazza Danieli.
Designed in the late 14th century to meet the demands of Europe's traveling nobility, the Hotel Danieli continues to set the standard for hospitality at its best. The hotel's wide variety of services include room service, childcare, meeting facilities and an elegant lounge bar.

This was the most unbelievable hotels I have ever stayed at; the view of the lagoon with a full moon is spectacular. Thank you for a fantastic couple of nights

The best hotel in Venice... Not cheap, but I paid for a single and was upgraded to a double foc. Beware the extras, but can't beat that!

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Danieli. The staff was not very welcoming, we did not feel comfortable sitting in the lobby without having to order something. Our room though very nice was right on the canal, and each morning at 6am the trash was picked up right out side our window. We would not stay here again.

We are so happy we selected the Danielli. It was everything plus more and we cannot wait to come back. The service was outstanding, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We could not have asked for anything better. Thank you Danielli for making our stay memorable beyond imagination.

Great hotel. Great service. We were unfortunate to be in the hotel during extensive construction activity directly in front of our room. Compensation should have been offered. Also minibar prices were OUTRAGEOUS. We would stay there again. Great Staff

Absolutely the best place to stay on your first trip to Venice. The Danieli's location can't be beat, and for luxurious accommodations you'll find it difficult to match.

We were very pleased to be upgrated to a little junior suite. Service is generelly good, but we were missing the former familiar atmosphere. It is no longer the "old" Danieli, but more a hotel like all the big associations.. clean, effectiv and a little bit anonymious.

prices for any extra services (such as breakfast, minibar ...) are exaggerated. the Hotel is actually made of 3 buildings. bedrooms in the central "palazzo" are outstanding but if you are unlucky to end in the 2 others it's just a nice luxury room (some really tiny or even noisy) which simply doesn't worth the price. I tried both and I could see the difference. Being said that I ended in the nice room via venere.com and in the lesser one via direct booking... But next time I try the "Bauer Il Palazzo" or the "Luna Baglioni"

although the room was beautifully appointed the size was small very small bed just about fit in room.... no place for suitcases...also we got an alleyway room that was so noisy we could not go to sleep until 2 am and then in the morning were roused by noisy carts... they need to install sound proof windows...that being said the front desk was extremely helpful in all matters... they have 2 or 3 people working the desk at any time and could not do enough to make life easier... they deserve service medals for their helpfulness...did not eat there as the cost was prohibitive...26 euros each for breakfast...oh, and to hook up to internet was difficult...everything was in italian no english translation to sign on...

Très bel hotel avec beaucoup de charme. A part les salles de bain des chambres deluxe qui sont à remettre au gout du jour nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Very good situation of the hotel just in front of the lagoon and very easy to find it...but it seems to be a little bit expensive (room and services!), anyway it was a good stay...

This was an excellent hotel: comfortable, well-placed and luxurious. The concierges were very helpful in getting us tickets, and giving good advice (though their directions from the Ryanair airport were inadequate, and there was a long wait for a taxi.) The roof terrace and restaurant were excellent, and I should eb happy to stay at the hotel again. I have already recommended it to a number of friends.

Very good hotel at a reasonable price, if reduced. Nonetheless, every extra is charged at horrendous prices - be aware of an extra EUR 50 for breakfast!

A great hotelname but a poor stuff and unfriendly service. Breakfast 50.-- € !!! p.P. We were not satisfied! We often live in good hotels, but this is not to recommend.

The Danieli is a beautiful hotel! The rooms are wonderful and just gorgeous! The service is great! Though we had a hard time communicating a bit with the hotel's maids at times, the stay couldn't have been better! We will definetly stay here again!

Daniele is a very lovely hotel but we prefered our three previous stay,s at the Luna Baglioni as the prices were more sensible and the staff generally more welcoming.

I thought that Daniele was so classic that staffs are not friendly. But, actually, they are very kind and more friendly. They helped us with smile when we asked them anything little. But you shall not request the complete silence. Ofcause you know, in such buildings you have to hear noise of your next-room clearly.

Truly amazing hotel and service. Price is high for even Venice. Venice is entirely too expensive compared to other Italian cities. Our stay was wonderful however.

The hotel lobby was very good spacious andluxuriant. Our room was a little dissapointing for 350 pounds a night. The hoover clearly does not reach right the way to the walls. I was appalled at the price of the mini bar it really was probitive, about 4.50 for a can of coke. In the breakfast menu a plain 2 egg ommlette was about 14 pounds. It was prohibitive to use. With more user friendly prices i'm sure the restaurant would be packed. We went up to look and there was no one in it. Overall i did not feel that it was value for money.
