This was our first visit to Venice. The hotel was great just better directions would have been good. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

We had selected this hotel from commenst on sites like Venere and Trip Advisor. We were not dissapointed! Big room with high beamed ceiling. Windows overlooking canal. Double glasing and blackout curtains. A/c which worked. Excellent modern spacious bathroom. Room number 301! Breakfast buffet was great, and staff were helpful, knowledgable, and friendly. A hidden gem in Venice!

This stay was not our first one in Venice. We like this city so much. And so is hotel Colombina for us the right place for staying there. This time we could only stay for six days, but we are looking forward to our next trip to Venice. We would be pleased to plane our next trip in such way to stay again in Hotel Colombina. At least some hard facts - We had absolutely no complains concerning staff, facilities and so on. We were always satisfied about all the offered services.

Very bad welcoming at the recepion and real rude employees at the front disk. They deal with you with some kind of superiority,as if they are doing you a favour by staying in the hotel!!!! The annex room was really disappointing.Very small room,no enough air going inside, very dark and with a very small bathroom. For us it was a very disappointing experience and i dont know how is it classified as a 4 stars hotel! If i go to venice again,i'll not go to this hotel for sure and any other hotel will be much better as it couldnt be any worse. During our trip in europe,we stayed in around 5 different hotels, all were good and convenient except this one which doesnt really worth 150 euros!! The worst part is the staff, especially at the reception who are really rude and unprofessional. An advice for anyone going t Venice to choose the right hotel to enjoy such beautiful city

The room we stayed in was quite spacious and comfortable for a European hotel and the front desk staff was very efficient, friendly and accomodating. It was very close to all we wanted to see and do in Venice.

We went to Venice for 2 weeks and stayed the majority in an apartment, but wanted somewhere special at the end...the perfect choice. The hotel is quaint, located centrally 2 minutes from St Mark's . The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has an old world charm about it, yet all modern bathroom facilities, barfridge, TV,....The lounge and bar area are ample, breakfast is excellent and all you could need is within 10 minutes walking distance. Can really only recommend this.

There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, which was a little unpleasant, but otherwise the room and the hotel were great. If this bothers you, request a non smoking room.

Absolutley fantastic hotel. Only thing to pick up on was that they could do with abit more literature on places to see and things to do but appart from that, excellent

While the location was great and the accomodations were ok, I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. The staff at this hotel looks to scam you at every turn and spoiled our stay. Their restaurant recommendation was an overpriced tourist trap and "the special tour of a Murano glass factory" is a complete scam. If you do stay here, don't bother asking them for a recommendation for anything...

The location of this hotel could not be better. It is close to all of the attractions one goes to Venis to see. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and modern. The staff is very helpful in recommending places to eat, important because restaurants can get expensive without necessarily improving in quality. All four of us enjoyed our stay and will return on our next visit.

Generally speaking, our stay at Colombina was decidedly average, perhaps a bit below average considering the price of the room. We were most disappointed in the noise level. While our room overlooked the canal, it was directly across from a considerable amount of construction which began well before seven in the morning. Naturally this wasn't Colombina's fault, however they could have informed us of the construction either before our arrival or during check-in. We certainly would've taken an interior room in exchange for quiter mornings. As it appears this construction will be going on for some time, we would recommend anyone staying at Colombina in the next six months ask about it before they arrive. Furthermore, we were disappointed in the dining recommendations provided by the conceirge. The two nights we sought their advice the restaurants were considerably overpriced for the food quality and ambience. On the positive side, the rooms (despite the noise) were comfortable and well appointed, especially the bathrooms. Also, the breakfast buffet (croissants, rolls, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal) was more than sufficient and could be expanded by ordering from a full breakfast menu if so desired. Additionally, the location of Colombina is quite convenient regardless of your interests in Venice. We also took advantage of their water landing at departure by scheduling a water taxi to the airport. At 90 Euros for two passengers, this option is certainly expensive but the convenience was worth it after two weeks in Italy and the morning ride was a stunning end to our vacation. All in all, though Colombina certainly wasn't dreadful, we left feeling that there was probably a better place to stay.

The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city. We occupied a room looking over the canal, although it was not a large room it was very well decorated. The staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. Would recommend.
