Front Desk staff could have been more engaging. Room had ants in the refrigerator and on same cabinet. Internet should have been provided free for charge given that room was 340 euros a night (even considering that this is venice).

Excelente hotel.

Excellent value, not to difficult to get to from Zacharrias or San Marco Vaporetti stops. The Family suite we stayed in was huge and had plenty of room for all four of us. We did not eat breakfast as we had to leave early for the airport. Staff was helpful and hotel was well decorated and well kept.

We stayed in a family room which in fact is a double room with an added bed, therefore not very spacious. Breakfasts were basic with the only hot food being a croissant. Location is very good. Nice courtyard garden, however overall expensive for the facilites, breakfast and room size.

At first we were wondering where we were going as we were heading down a small alley and then suddenly the hotel was upon us. Make sure you have a good map to help you to find it, although it is only 5 minute walk (if that) from St Mark's Square. The receptionist made us feel very welcome the room was of a good size although very warm during the night breakfast of continental type although only had croissants on one morning (out of 3) overall great location, great rooms and a very pleasant stay

Staying here was a good experience after we finally found it. Directions to the hotel were poor as they only gave the vaporetto stop. The room was lovely but very small. Staff was great and breakfast was very nice.

Très bel hotel, très bien placé, chambre spacieuse et très calme (mais pas de vue sur le canal mais sur une petite ruelle typique). De grands espaces de hall. Nous y avons passé un très agréable séjour.

The staff were really helpful at all stages through the holiday and that made a real difference. The room was really clean and presentable and the breakfast was great. The location of the hotel was nice because it was in a quieter area, yet only a couple of minutes walk to the main tourist spots. The only thing I would add is that Venice (to the first time visitor) is a bit of a maze, so better directions to the hotel would have been really useful. Apart from that we had a fantastic stay and would definitely go back to this hotel again.

We got the room behind the reception desk which is very small and can be quite noisy from early in the morning. There as no problem with the shower though. There were loads of mosquetos in the room and the hotel public areas. Excellent location. Receptionist was helpful when asked questions.

This was an excellent hotel choice for Venice. It was a short walk from the water taxi service and San Marco. Many places to eat nearby and Rialto was an easy walk. Hotel was clean and the Junior Suite was great. Hotel staff were friendly and made good recommendations for food. The only problem we had was that we almost missed our return flight because the staff didn't arrange our water taxi as promised. I'd definitely return here with my family though.

I would regard Casa Verardo as the perfect place to stay in Venice. It is in a beautiful location being very close to Piazza San Marco however it is situated in a very quiet street/canal. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The room was a little small but perfectly adequate. The decor is very classical and ornate. The shower is excellent! One morning we had to wait a few minutes to be seated for breakfast but not too long, every other morning there was plently of space. The breakfast is buffet style and is quite good to set you up for the day. One point of note is that the directions as described on the website are not too good, I had obtained directions from a family member who had stayed there previously so this made it easy for me to locate. The directions printed on the hotel business card are good and I would recommend that these be included in the directions provided by the website "venere.com". All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody.

Great place near Plaza San Marco. Not to hard to find with a little help :) Clean with a little more than just a continental breakfast. Lift for my older mother was great. Good price in the off season. Was able to store luggage before checking in, so we could run around the city.

Just looking for a room to spend the night in Venezia as we traveled from Milano. We got a triple at a very affordable rate, and although we didn't spend much time in the room or hotel itself, we easily could have and been very comfortable. The room was overlooking one of the canals and was a very spacious. Very friendly staff at all times, and a great location, easy to find. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

We, my wife and I, recently returned from a trip to Italy and our first stop was four nights in Venice. I'd read about Hotel Casa Verardo on Venere.com and TripAdvisor.com and chose it because it was in a good price range for us. We were extremely pleased with what we found. Great location, charming hotel within 5 minute walk to San Marco Plaza and San Zaccharias vaporetto stop. Location is a huge plus in Venice! The staff was very attentive. The room (No.106) was of a very nice size with a twin bed and big bathroom. Without a doubt if we ever returned to Venice, we wouldn't even look for any other place to stay.

This hotel was recommended to me by a salesperson who waited on me at a clothing store in San Francisco. when I travel I always challenge myself to get the ultimate value on a hotel room...I want it to be nice, but you spend so little time in the room that I hate to waste vacation dollars on simply a 'place to sleep'. This hotel was off the chart when it came to value received rate! Location, staff, bathroom, breakfast, common areas including a fabalous patio were all GREAT. I don't think you could find a better location & great hotel for even 30% more in Venice.

Our family would be delighted to be able to stay at Casa Verardo if we return to Venice. We were treated to what was a palace! The staff was very helpful. Guests told us that the rooms above were a bit cramped, particularly with the "shower box", but not our room (106). Ask for the best! It's worth it!

The rooms were very small. And there was a lot of noise from the streets below. Everything else was pretty okay. Food was okay, not top notch, but what can you expect, I guess for 140 a nite I expected better. I know it is Venice, but I don't know if I'll stay there again.

Well situated hotel tucked away on a little canal close to all the major sites which suited us as a family to get around, knowing you do a lot of walking in Venice. Seemed to be a family run concern and all the staff were charming. Had been recently refurbished and our room particularly the bathroom was imposing and clean. Only two things to beware of was the breakfasts which were a bit shambolic because there are not enough tables and the breakfast itself is a bit minimalist. And our room was sold as a room with a view which was stretching it a bit as we could just look down on a scruffy yard, but thats part of the unique charm of Venice. All in all a good value simple hotel.

Had an exellent experience, they booked restaurants gave directions and reserved taxis. By coincidence we had dinner at a restaurant that one of the Casa employees worked at and he went out of his way to ensure we had the best table and extra care. As they say, "if my wife is happy that makes me happy" and she loved the hotel.

Casa Verardo is well located between the San Zaccharia vaperetto and San Marco surrounds. An idyllic Venitian location on a quiet canal. Breakfast was exceptional on a pretty balcony all to ourselves at 8am each morning. Our room on the first floor was huge with a high ceiling and classic decor. Staff (especially the young ones) had good suggestions on where to go for dinner. My wife loved it so much, and we had such a great time I would definitely stay here again.
