Hotel Ca' Vendramin di Santa Fosca - Venice

It was a really perfect stay at the Hotel Ca´Vendramin. Everything was great, the rooms very beautiful and the staff very friendly. Everytime again!

Bad sound isolation beetween rooms.

Very helpful staffs. Quite and great locations. A supermarket is just a few steps away.

Location - considering it is just off the busy Strad Nova, the hotel is suprisingly quiet but well placed, with the added attaction of paddling through the occassional Venetian flood one eveneing to access the hotel door. Staff were excellent - knowledgable, polite and efficient. Rooms - clean and reasonably equipped. Value - for expensivce Venice, I thought resonable value. Atmosphere - a bit quite guest-wise. I saw only a few others, and rather formal. No problem recommeding it for single or couple travelers.

This is a lovely small bed and breakfast hotel of 4 star quality. The english-speaking staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but is only a few minutes walk from a wide range of useful and interesting shops. A variety of restaurants can be found within easy walking distance, as can the boatstops for some of the more useful public transport lines.

This is a beautiful but expensive property. Rooms were spacious, staff excellent. property faces a small quiet canal and is walking distance to all of the main attractions

It was my wife's birthday and having booked a junior suite, we go a split level (bathroom downstairs) which was extremely inconvneient. My wife was particularly dissapointed, and we got a very non satisfactory understading from the staff. Not professional and not what would be expected from a 4 star hotel. We booked the room on the basis of the pictures on venere.com, but the room we recieved was nothing like it. The hotel had 11 rooms - there are 11 pictures on the web site - but the room we got was not a junitor suite - or this is our belief, and still is. We were told by the hoitel staff that we should have mentioned that this was a special occassion and that a canal view junior suite should be held. That the room we got was our fault!?! All in all , the hotel was a disaster - the reception gratefully did not charge us for having our breakfast in our room!!!! What a concession!! The breakfast itself was meagre. Thankfully Venice made up for the accomodation, but we will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. We have been extremely busy since our return last Saturday, but we do intend to follow up on this one and to highlight the high cost and lack of value for money we have experienced, and the poor way in which we were managed. From a very disgruntled Irish user of your site and of this expensive/low value hotel. Although I am posting this anonymously, I feel somehting has failed here, that was manbaged very poorly at the hotel. I do not wish to damage your business but I/we will be making other travellers aware of our experiences on other major online travel sites - etc. Yours,

The hotel was wonderful, however Venere's directions on how to get there were aweful and we spent an hour trying to find it on foot. When you exit the water taxi, get off at C'O'dor stop and walk/turn left on main street, then take right at the pink stucco buildings and the hotel is back in the back across a small canal (over the bridge). The map you provide is completely wrong and sends you in the opposite direction.
