We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and found the reception staff very friendly and helpful. The only other comment we have is the restaurant personnel were not very friendly and would retreat to the bar and talk between themselves and were not attentive to replacing breakfast products that had run out. Overall, our stay was very good.

Well located. We got a quiet room on the first floor, overlooking a courtyard - nothing exciting but was quiet. The quality of the room furnishings and the room size was very good. The location is excellent, within a comfortable walk of St. Mark's square and St. Sebastian/Accademia. The Breakfast spread was good, the staff helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel also arranges a one way water taxi trip to a glass factory in Murano - you have to make your own way back and the factory shop is overpriced, but still a good trip for a few hours. Only issue - hotel is not very convenient from the vaporetto or airport water bus. We took a water taxi from the airport, which was good - else would have had to walk quite a bit with our luggage - and would in all probability have got lost. Overall an excellent hotel, if you wish to stay in San Marco.

We booked a "Gold" room during the low season (beginning of March 2010), and we had a double room with bath an jacuzi for less than 70 € incl. buffet breakfast in a 4-star hotel! The hotel is 2 min. walk from La Fenice theater, 5 min. walk to St Marc Piazza, and 5 min. walk from Vaporetto stop San Angelo (Vaporetto line # 1). Internet connection available in the hotel for a cheap price.

Would really say this is a 3*+ rather than 4*. Main annoyance was that the bathroom water was not hot - in fact it was nearly cold - so was not able to enjoy a hot spa bath at any time. This was reported to reception but nothing got done and no-one mentioned anything about it.

First stay. Nice infrastructure. Very clean. Heterogeneous friendliness and competence of employees. Some very professional, some with space for improvement (mostly politeness). Orange juice during breakfast awfull (powder). Rest ok.
